Jeff Bezos seals 72-hour £40m Venice wedding celebrations with a kiss from bride
Amazon retail giant Jeff Bezos sent the world into a spin as the good and the great of Hollywood and the music industry attended his hugely anticipated wedding celebration
Their wedding has been the talk of the town for months as fans eagerly awaited the lavish ceremony of Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez. And the couple did not fail to disappoint.
The couple took three days out of their busy schedule to celebrate their wedding, which is believed to have cost close to £40million.
The last day of their wedding party, fans were greeted by Lauren, who now goes by the name of Mrs Bezos, in a flattering pink dress which was embellished with jewels. Both Lauren and Jeff were seen waving to the crowd that gathered outside their Aman Venice Hotel as they stepped into a boat to take them to a secret location to continue their party, surrounded by the elite of Hollywood.
With her hair gently draped around her shoulders, Lauren looked the picture of happiness as she stood close to her new husband.
Meanwhile, Jeff was seen dressed in all black. The businessman, 61, who is the third richest man in the world with an estimated worth of £177billion. was pictured in a black shirt teamed with a matching suit.
He completed his look with a pair of sunglasses as they made their way along the Venice canal. The happy couple shared a kiss which sent fans wild, sealing their three day nuptials.
And their guests also left fans in awe as the elite of Hollywood and the music industry gathered together for three days to witness the wedding of Lauren and Jeff.
Guests included Oprah Winfrey, who looked stunning in a burnt orange outfit that came complete with feathered sleeves. With a fan in hand to stave off the Venice heat, the TV star who is also believed to be a billionaire, waved to fans as she jumped into the awaiting water taxi to take her to the party venue.
Other guests included Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, who were also pictured making their way to the old shipyard, the Arsenale.
Kim was seen dressed to impress in a shimmering black fitted dress that showed off all her curves, while Khloe cut a more demure appearance in a flattering pink outfit.
According to reports, the invited guests amounted to 200 people and Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga were among the performers of the night.
And while the happy couple and their guests enjoyed the celebrations which went without a hitch, it seems not everybody was pleased that the retail giant had booked out the entire Italian city.
An estimated 700 demonstrators gathered together at Santa Lucia train station armed with banners that read "If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax."
The demonstration is believed to have been organised by the No Space For Bezos group. A few members of the group were seen laden with Amazon boxes that had the words "ordered, shipped, delivered, rejected" written on them.
But this did not seem to change the happy course of the couple as they continued to enjoy their day despite the interruptions.
This is reportedly the second marriage for both Jeff and Lauren and between them, they have seven children.

Uncomfortable staff in the background of Lauren Sanchez's bridal photos go viral
Behind-the-scenes snapshots of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos ' wedding have started going viral... for all the wrong reasons. The blushing bride, 55, tied the knot with her Amazon founder beau, 61, in Venice, Italy, on Friday wearing a lacy Dolce & Gabbana gown. It boasted floral-inspired embellishments, long sleeves, tight bodice, high neckline, enormous train and button studs down the front. Lauren took to Instagram just moments after saying 'I do' to begin her huge rebrand as she deleted all of her old Instagram posts and changed her profile to include her new surname, Bezos. The only two uploads that currently show include a snapshot of the newlyweds standing hand-in-hand which was uploaded alongside a simple date caption. The other is a carousel of behind-the-scenes snaps of Lauren's wedding preparations. In the post, the former journalist was seen standing inside a decadent room at the wedding venue, wearing her dress and showing off its dramatic silhouette. The second photo, a black and white image, showed Lauren and her team helping her get into the gown, while the third image featured designer Domenico Dolce placing the lace veil on her head. 'Not just a gown, a piece of poetry,' she captioned the post. 'Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made.' But unfortunately for Lauren, fans quickly got hung up on one small detail. Because in the background of one of the snaps were two female staffers wearing somewhat outdated maid outfits - consisting of white pinafores with black detailing to the collars and belt tie. The forlorn duo, believed to work at the venue, looked somewhat pained as they stood awkwardly and gazed toward Lauren who posed up a storm for the camera. And their apparent discomfort was quickly picked up on as the pictures began circulating on social media. Highlighting the pair with a large arrow, one user wrote: 'She willingly posted this. 'Ma'am. If ever there was an image to encapsulate this nightmare.' 'It's giving Handmaid's Tale,' another said, in reference to the best-selling novel about a totalitarian society ruled by a fundamentalist regime that treats women as property of the state. 'Why is this radicalizing me?' another quipped. 'Peak dystopia!' someone else shared. Others joked that their outfits were a 'fetishized' nod to the 1950s after Lauren told Vogue that she had researched pictures of brides from the era before being inspired by Sophia Loren's wedding dress from the 1958 movie Houseboat. But the newlyweds, who have already battled against protestors this week, are unlikely to be bothered by the internet chatter. Earlier this week, Sanchez debuted a giant new wedding ring - an oval-cut diamond worth an estimated $4 million - to dwarf her existing $2.5 million engagement rock. Courtesy of celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, the new gem is believed to weigh in at around 30 carats. 'We don't have a lot of traditions that we're keeping,' Sanchez told Vogue ahead of the big day. 'I mean, I love traditions, but for a 55-year-old woman, it's a little different.' But she did admit to keeping to the tradition of not letting her husband-to-be see her dress before the big day - despite the fact they have both been married before. 'I almost gave in,' she revealed, adding he 'begged' her for a glimpse. 'But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can't wait to see his face.' While her a pair of earrings served as her 'something borrowed' on the wedding day, Sanchez gave her 'something blue' a cosmic twist - carrying a secret artifact from her recent 11-minute space journey. 'Blue Origin,' Sanchez said. 'It's something from my space flight.'

Jeff Bezos' star-studded guests finally leave Venice after 72-hour wedding
Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and new wife Lauren Sanchez tied the knot in front of 200 of the world's richest people over the weekend The Kardashians and Oprah Winfrey were among the biggest names pictured leaving Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's 72-hour nuptials in Venice that has been dubbed 'the wedding of the century'. Around 200 of the world's richest people descended on the Italian city for a thee-day celebration when the Amazon billionaire, 61, tied the knot with the 55-year-old American journalist and TV star over the weekend. Looking a little tired out by the extravaganza, Kris Jenner, 69, was spotted walking arm in arm alongside Oprah, 71, and her BFF Gayle King, 70. But the trio still looked chic, with Kris in a jungle patterned two piece, Oprah in all white and Gayle in a colourful striped midi dress. Also spotted leaving the high profile event was Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, 69, and his glamorous new girlfriend Paula Hurd, 62, who he has been dating since 2023 following his split from wife of 27 years Melinda in 2021. Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom, 48, was there as a 'newly single man' following his reported split from Katy Perry, who he was engaged to and with for almost a decade. Another huge Hollywood actor who bagged himself an invite was Titanic legend Leonardo DiCaprio, 50, who was there with his 27-year-old Italian model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti. Pregnant model Karlie Kloss, 32, was a guest alongside her husband Joshua Kushner, 40. Karlie stunned in a pink floor length dress. The couple are expecting their third child later this year. Also in attendance was Josh's brother Jared Kushner, 44, who is married to Donald Trump's 43-year-old daughter Ivanka. Though it's thought the US President was invited to the nuptials, he reportedly declined as a result of 'scheduling conflicts'. White Lotus and Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney, 27, R&B star Usher, 46, NFL star Tom Brady, 47 and fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, 78, were also amongst the big name guests. But perhaps one surprising celebrity who managed to bag an invite was British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding. The 38-year-old Anything Could Happen songstress was spotted wearing a gorgeous burgundy sequin midi dress for the occasion which showed off her tanned, toned arms.

Sydney Sweeney's floaty playsuit nails Italian summer at Jeff Bezos wedding
Sydney Sweeney was the epitome of Italian summer style as she attended the wedding of Jeff Bezos, and we found a £30 lookalike for her £2.8k Chloe playsuit This weekend all anyone can talk about is the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his new wife Lauren Sanchez. The pair tied the knot in Venice with a guest list that rivals the Met Gala red carpet, which means we've gotten plenty of serious fashion inspiration – and envy – on how to do summer occasionwear right. However between wedding events, the guests were also snapped around Venice, including Sydney Sweeney who nailed the Italian way of dressing for the heat. Wearing a £2855 V-Neck Jumpsuit in Silk Georgette from Chloe, Sydney's effortlessly chic look is ideal for the summer heat, and good news for bargain hunters, because we found a fantastic alternative for just £30. One reason Sydney's black playsuit is such a hit is because it's the perfect combination of floaty, sexy and sophisticated, all whilst exuding the kind of glamour Italy is known for. If you don't want to splurge on her luxury piece, this ASOS DESIGN Double Cloth Gathered Bust Playsuit is a fantastic alternative. Priced at £30, the playsuit mirrors the breezy laid back silhouette of Sydney's Chloe jumpsuit, with a fitted waist, loose fitting A-line shorts and a sleeveless bodice. It also features plunging V-neckline, which keeps your modesty in check with a series of carefully placed ties which can be adjusted to fasten as loose or as tight as you like. The tie front also gives the illusion of having a similar neck scarf detail to Sydney's, however you could also add your own chiffon scarf to recreate the look. If you want something with a little more coverage that you could easily wear year round, this For The Moment Mini from Free People is ideal. It has long billowy long sleeves which gather at the wrist to create volume, with a v-neckline and a smocked waist to give it a flattering silhouette. Priced at £88 it is a mini dress, rather than a playsuit, however it captures the vibe of Sydney's look beautifully. However the ASOS Double Cloth Playsuit is versatile in its own right, and can be just as easily worn with a pair of tights, biker boots and wool coat in the winter as with a pair of sandals in the summer. It's made from 100% cotton, so it's breezy and lightweight to wear whilst still being hard wearing and comfortable. You can still shop it in all sizes from a four to an 18, or opt for the Curve version which offers sizes from 18 to 30. If black isn't your colour, you can also nab it in several other shades. With buttermilk yellow, green and pale pink colourways to pick from you can nail the summery look without breaking the bank. But if it's Sydney's timeless Italian style you want to copy, the black version should be winging its way to your wardrobe ASAP.
