He also reiterated the organization's condemnation of all forms of terrorism and its support for the Somali government's counter-terrorism efforts.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) marked World Humanitarian Day on Tuesday in Jeddah, bringing together regional and international partners to reaffirm collective commitment to humanitarian relief and crisis response. Moreover, in a recorded message, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, highlighted the growing scale of global humanitarian challenges. He revealed that by April 2025, the number of displaced persons and refugees had exceeded 122 million. 'Humanitarian action has become a necessity, not an option,' he declared, reaffirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's steadfast commitment to assisting vulnerable communities worldwide. Dr. Al Rabeeah also emphasized Saudi Arabia's leading role in humanitarian aid, noting that the Kingdom has contributed over $141 billion globally, of which approximately $124 billion was directed to OIC member states. He reaffirmed that Gaza remains a priority, standing at the forefront of the Kingdom's humanitarian agenda. OIC's COMSTECH hosts Ethiopia–Pakistan Green Dialogue on climate resilience
ISLAMABAD: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) science body COMSTECH on Monday hosted the 'Ethiopia–Pakistan Green Dialogue' in Islamabad, spotlighting reforestation and South-South cooperation on climate resilience. The event, organized with Ethiopia's embassy, featured Ethiopia's flagship Green Legacy initiative, which Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula described as 'an international benchmark for combating climate change through mass tree plantation and sustainable practices,' COMSTECH said in a press release. Ethiopia's Green Legacy campaign, launched in 2019, has become a global model for reforestation and climate resilience. The initiative has already seen more than 25 billion trees planted, including a record 350 million in a single day, with a goal of 50 billion by 2030. Widely recognized by the UN and African Union, the drive has mobilized millions of citizens to restore degraded land, combat desertification, and build climate resilience in one of the world's most drought-prone countries. 'Climate change is an urgent reality for Pakistan. Despite contributing less than one percent to global emissions, Pakistan is among the most climate-affected countries, facing floods, glacial melt, and droughts,' Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, attending as chief guest, said in a statement. He praised Ethiopia's Green Legacy as 'a global model of reforestation and sustainability,' and called for 'practical collaboration through joint task forces, parliamentary exchanges, and research partnerships.' Gilani also underlined Pakistan's role in global climate diplomacy, 'including championing the Loss and Damage Fund at COP27 and advancing climate finance at COP29.' The fund, established in 2022 after Pakistan's catastrophic floods, is meant to provide financial support to developing countries suffering from the irreversible impacts of climate change such as floods, droughts, and rising seas that go beyond what adaptation can address.

Syrian Investment Delegation Visits Riyadh to Bolster Economic Cooperation
A Syrian investment delegation will visit Riyadh on Monday to boost economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria, in line with the directives of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman. The Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, heads the delegation which includes representatives from the private sector of both sides, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The official visit underscores both countries' commitment to strengthening economic ties and regional integration. The visit also follows up on the outcomes of the Saudi-Syrian Investment Forum, which took place in July under the patronage of Syria's Transitional President, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, with the participation of more than 100 Saudi companies and 20 Saudi government entities. The Forum saw the signing of 47 investment agreements across key sectors, worth of SAR 24 billion ($6.4bn). The investment projects covered sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, finance, telecommunications and information technology, energy, industry, tourism, trade and investment, health, and other areas. Furthermore, the Forum witnessed the formation of the Saudi-Syrian Business Council to foster economic cooperation and promote Saudi investments in the promising Syrian market. The Syrian delegation's visit to Riyadh aligns with the Kingdom's commitment to enhance economic partnerships with brotherly nations across the region, boosting its global investment role and supporting the attainment of sustainable development goals and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
