Forget the Bed: 9 Alternative (and Steamy) Places To Have Sex

Yahoo2 days ago
Have you and your partner ever fantasized about taking things out of the bedroom? Whether you're craving something spontaneous, playful, or just a little less predictable, changing up your setting can make your sex life a bit more exciting.
Plus, if you're in a long-term relationship, going at it in a new place can spice things up, especially if you feel your sex life has plateaued lately, says Gigi Engle, certified sex coach, sexologist, and author of All The F*cking Mistakes: A Guide to Sex, Love and Life.
'It also requires a level of trust that you're in it together,' says Amy Levine, sex coach and founder of Ignite Your Pleasure. 'It gives you the opportunity to explore something that can take you to a new erotic edge.'
Just note that if you plan to have sex anywhere public-adjacent, it's important to consider consent, Engle notes. Of course, that includes you and your partner, but also those who might be around—obviously, strangers haven't signed up to watch you bone. Being sexually open and adventurous is awesome, but you also need to be a decent and respectful person.
Need some inspo? Here are some of the best and most creative places to have sex.
1. Your backyard or balcony.
Taking things to the backyard can emulate the excitement of outdoor sex…but with a nice level of privacy. 'The backyard of your home has the comfort to keep the sex at ease,' Levine says. 'Wondering if the neighbors will see ups the mystery and your arousal.'
It's thrilling to know someone could spot you, and you're outside but in a clean, private space. And since it's your property, no worries about breaking the law.
Make it hotter: Put your patio furniture to good use (beyond the occasional backyard BBQ). 'If you have a lounger, this can be a good opportunity for you to lie back and enjoy some relaxed oral sex out in the sunshine,' Engle says. Before you head out, don't forget to grab some water-based lube and a favorite toy.
2. Your car.
If the movie Titanic and high school gossip has taught me anything, it's that the car is a prime spot to get hot and steamy. It's a private-but-public space that you have more control over.
Make it hotter: During sunset or under the cover of nightfall, turn off onto a quiet road or find an empty parking lot to discreetly park. Skip the front seat (the horn could blow your cover when you want to blow other things), and opt for the backseat instead. It'll help keep you hidden, and there's more room to play around with positions.
3. A hotel room.
Check in for a good time. Whether you're traveling with your significant other or just got a hotel room for a hot staycation, make it your playground. There's just something about having sex while on vacay that always feels extra hot.
Make it hotter: Open the curtains (all of them, all the way) and have sex against the window. It doesn't matter if your view overlooks a parking lot or another building—you'll still get a rush knowing people can (and likely will) see.
4. A park or wooded area.
Who doesn't love getting down with nature? Find a spot to settle down for your romp in an empty, low-traffic park or lightly wooded area. 'You want enough camouflage to be shielded,' Engle says.
She also warns against going too deep into a wooded area—getting ravaged by bugs and ticks (or poison ivy) isn't hot. If you'd rather be on the ground, bring a blanket to avoid mud and grass stains. 'This will give you a makeshift sex area and something to use for quick coverups,' Engle says. You know, just in case.
Make it hotter: Put some thought into what you're wearing, as you both want to don something with easy access. Think long dresses or stretchy shorts that you can quickly pull down or up in case of emergency (read: passerbys). Knowing you're equipped for a quickie (or multiple ones) is a turn-on in and of itself.
5. A rooftop.
This is more practical for city folk with access to a flat roof, so take proper precautions. But an open rooftop is like your balcony, only more risqué, because anyone (and everyone) can see.
Engle has one important reminder: If you're in the great outdoors and going to up there for quite some time, don't forget to put on some sunscreen. (Seriously...that's not the kind of red hot you want.)
Make it hotter: Bring a cushion, a thick yoga mat or towel, or something soft to add comfort (rooftops are...hard). You can also snuggle it under your hips to create a bit of leverage for deeper penetration. (Or shop one of these made-for-it sex pillows.)
6. A sex party.
While it might be lightyears out of your comfort zone, a sex party has a serious benefit: You can avoid the distracting thought of getting caught so you can focus on performance.
At an event like this, you don't have to worry who might be watching, since everyone is there for the same reason—so you can let your exhibitionist flag fly high.
Make it hotter: Remember, consent is hot! Talking about what you both want out of your experience before you arrive will ensure you have a great time. After all, you won't know what's on the table until you have a mutual convo about it.
7. An outdoor shower.
Thanks to the electric mix of streaming water, the fresh air, and the chance of a viewer or two, 'it's hot, especially on a hot summer night,' says Levine. Plenty of fancy hotels and Airbnb's have them, so include that in your filter search (wink).
Make it hotter: Your best method of action is to face a wall and bend over, and find something you can prop a foot on for a deeper sensation. Try these steamy tips and positions just for shower sex, too.
8. The beach.
Another young fantasy come to life, but with a few caveats: Visit a quiet part of the beach at night to respectfully avoid people, and stay on land to keep the saltwater from drying you up down there.
Lay blankets down carefully so you don't come away with sand and nasties in every crevice of your body. And try positions where you can avoid a lot of sand tossing around, like riding your partner on a beach chair or spooning each other on the blanket.
Make it hotter: Bring a bottle of wine and a pillow to stargaze afterward. Now you just went from hot-beach-sex to romance-novel-intimate. Swoon!
9. In a tent.
Ah, the sounds of nature: crickets chirping, the crackle of a bonfire, and stifled moans.
Set up a tent in a secluded area of the campsite (or your backyard), and clear out branches or rocks that can cramp the moment. You'll have the cover of a tent, but the image of your shadows projecting through could provide a bit of extra thrill.
Make it hotter: Remember to stash lube in your knapsack (wetter is better), and unzip part of the tent slightly for more air flow. And don't forget to pack a mattress pad (or even an air mattress) so you don't have to do it in your sleeping bag (those can get pretty sweaty).

MrBeast CEO and 'Beast Games' winner rally brand partners and rare disease support on Wall Street

NEW YORK (AP) — MrBeast's new CEO hit Wall Street Wednesday as YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson's media empire looks to develop long-term brand partnerships and, in turn, unlock more funding for its charitable content. Venture capitalist Jeff Housenbold took over MrBeast leadership last summer with a mandate to professionalize an ever-growing entertainment company. YouTube's most popular creator had reached record audience levels far outpacing its startup days, while vowing to reassess its internal culture amid multiple controversies. But, despite joining Nasdaq's closing bell ceremony on Wednesday, Housenbold said their strategic plan does not currently include a public offering — or any active funding rounds. 'Do I want to make banger content? Yeah. That's cool," Housenbold told The Associated Press. "But what can we do with that banger content? Generate profits, make a sustainable business that gives us greater ability to impact people's lives around the world.' 'We're marching quickly to profitability, so we don't have to raise additional capital,' he added. Instead, MrBeast is focused on securing multi-year exclusive advertising deals as opposed to single-video brand partnerships. With 416 million subscribers and legions of impressionable young fans, Housenbold argued that MrBeast is uniquely positioned to deliver more bang for companies' marketing bucks by pointing that 'firehouse of attention' at them. Along the way, Housenbold said he is encouraging Donaldson to tout the channel's charitable works — which often feature quantifiable stunts such as building wells, removing ocean plastic or covering cataract surgery costs. The company, in his view, 'can do good while doing well.' 'The more people who like us 'cause we do good, the more people watch our videos," he said. 'The more people watch our videos, the more we're able to drive in fees from our advertising partners... the more we can invest in more content to do more good in the world.' New projects such as the Amazon Prime reality show and a James Patterson novel from HarperCollins aim to diversify the genders and ages of his audience. Housenbold said that base has historically consisted mostly of 8-to-25-year-olds and men. But Housenbold acknowledged missteps in last year's production of 'Beast Games," which prompted allegations of 'unsafe' conditions from some contestants who said an unorganized set led to injuries, irregular food provision and lacking access to medication. While describing most of those reports as 'inaccurate,' Housenbold said they were 'better prepared' for the second season's recently wrapped shoot. 'Building sets for a 10-episode show is different than a 22-minute YouTube video," he said. "The scale, the size, the sophistication, the safety, the security, the cost effectiveness of doing that. We didn't staff up enough for Beast Games.' Ringing Nasdaq's closing bell Wednesday with Housenbold was the winner of the $10 million grand prize awarded in that inaugural 'Beast Games' season. Jeffrey Allen, the father of a child with creatine transporter deficiency, has promised to put some of his winnings toward existing treatments and research for a cure to the rare genetic disorder. He said the Association for Creatine Deficiencies, where he is a board member, added 1,000 new donors in the weeks following the final 'Beast Games' episodes' release. He hopes Wednesday's visit will draw more attention and money to all rare diseases. 'This is where companies that are bringing true change to the marketplace come to listen to other companies," Allen said. "So, there's no better place for a budding rare disease nonprofit to come and show, 'Hey we're trying to change the world, too.'' ___ Associated Press coverage of philanthropy and nonprofits receives support through the AP's collaboration with The Conversation US, with funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. 10 things to know before going to the National Sports Collectors Convention

The National Sports Collectors Convention should be a bucket-list destination for sports fans. Even if you don't collect sports cards, it's the type of place you should go to at least once in your life. Yes, the convention is filled with cards. But it also has history, athletes, celebrities, memorabilia and so much more. This year's National is the 45th installment and will be at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., which is next door to Chicago, July 30-Aug. 3. Here are 10 things every sports fan or collector should know before attending the National. Bring snacks and water: You will be surprised how quickly time goes by at a show and how you can sometimes forget to eat. Bring snacks and water to stay fueled and hydrated throughout the show. Then, get a nice dinner. (I hope you've already made those Gibson's reservations). Cash is king: Even though we all use cards and apps to pay for items these days, cash is still king at a show like the National. There are also more deals to be made with cash. More than 150 autograph signers: Athletes and celebrities are signing all five days at the National, from all-time greats like Johnny Bench and Bo Jackson to modern stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Pete Crow-Armstrong. There are also celebrities like Spike Lee and Randy Quaid. If you're planning to get any autographs, plan your schedules early. Get your cards graded: The National provides the unique opportunity to get cards graded at the venue. Normally, collectors have to send their cards to the grading companies to get them encapsulated. At the National, you can get your cards back in as quickly as three hours — it just depends on how much you're willing to pay. Visit the corporate pavilion: The corporate pavilion has changed over the years at the National and has become bigger and much better. Companies like Panini, Topps, Upper Deck and Fanatics put up huge booths with plenty of different experiences. You can spend an entire day having fun in the corporate area. Prices may drop on Sunday: It's not a guarantee, but in past years prices have come down on Sunday. Often, there are deals to be had because dealers don't want to bring inventory home. Many of them want to get rid of as much as they can at the show. Bring your own supplies: If you're opening boxes of cards, there's no worse feeling in pulling a big hit and having no way to protect it. Bring your own supplies so that you can make sure that your cards are always protected. That means, penny sleeves, top loaders and team bags, at the very least. Wifi Issues: The WiFi and your phone service may not work during peak hours at the show. This has been an issue at all major shows, including the National. Consider there are tens of thousands of people who are trying to connect to the internet and it essentially creates a digital log jam. If there's anything you need online, do it before heading into the show. Content creators galore: There are going to be a lot of people with cameras and microphones. Content creation is part of the scene now. It's not just people walking around the show, but also dealers, as everyone is trying to get the next viral video. Not sure there's a way to avoid it, but be warned of what you're getting into while at the National. Trade shows in hotel lobbies: The National doesn't only take place at the convention center. Many times, hotel lobbies or other gathering spots turn into an impromptu trade night. Some of the very best deals happen in these moments.

BOOSTER GOLD TV Series Finally Moving Forward at DC Studios — GeekTyrant

After more than two years of waiting, the fan-favorite time-traveling superhero Booster Gold is officially making his way to the small screen. According to Deadline, DC Studios has greenlit a pilot episode for the series at HBO Max, bringing a cult comic book character into the spotlight. The project has landed David Jenkins, best known as the creator of HBO Max's pirate comedy-drama Our Flag Means Death , to write the pilot and serve as showrunner if the series gets a full-season order. Originally announced back in January 2023 during the DCU Chapter One slate reveal, the synopsis teased that the series will follow Booster Gold as he uses 'basic technology from the future to pretend to be a superhero in the present day.' Booster Gold's real name is Michael Jon Carter, a former football star from the 25th century who steals advanced technology and travels back in time. His mission? To reinvent himself as a celebrity superhero in our era. In the comics, Booster isn't just a self-promoter, he eventually becomes a trusted member of the Justice League. That Justice League is shaping up in the DCU too, featuring characters like Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Mister Terrific, who recently appeared in Superman , and they're bankrolled by Maxwell Lord, adding an interesting dynamic to the team's future. While we wait for Booster's big debut, DC fans have plenty to look forward to on HBO Max. Peacemaker Season 2, starring John Cena as the foul-mouthed antihero, drops on August 21. Further down the line, we have Lanterns , which is set for an early 2026 release. That series will follow Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) as they investigate a mysterious murder in Nebraska. With Jenkins at the helm and James Gunn's DCU vision in play, Booster Gold could bring a fresh, funny, and heartfelt tone to the superhero genre.
