HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were arrested for firearm charges following a report of shots fired on Mt. Tom Ski Road.
Two dogs returned after being stolen in Holyoke, three arrested
The Holyoke Police Department states that on March 15th at 11:30 p.m., officers were sent to Mt. Tom Ski Road for a report of shots fired. Mt. Tom Ski Road is a restricted-access road, and a gate between Mt. Park Road and Mt. Tom Ski Road is typically closed.
Officers learned information about a suspected vehicle and found the car on Woods Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted, and officers detained the driver, who was identified as 24-year-old Orlando Olmeda of Springfield, and the passenger, 18-year-old Amalia Siciliano of Chicopee. Two other passengers were also detained but were later released.
A 9mm ghost gun, a shell casing, ammunition, and a firearm laser attachment were found inside the car. Both Olmeda and Siciliano were arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card
Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
Improper Storage of a Firearm

HAMPTON, N.H. (WWLP) – A New Bedford man has been arrested in connection with driving in the wrong direction on I-95 in New Hampshire and causing a deadly crash in Massachusetts. New Hampshire State Police shared in a news release that 40-year-old Keoma Duarte of New Bedford, Mass. was arrested last Wednesday following an ongoing investigation into reckless driving and a deadly crash in November of 2024. Sidewalks to close Monday for repairs in Pittsfield On November 27, New Hampshire state troopers observed a Tesla driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-95 in Hampton. Troopers coordinated with members of the Massachusetts State Police as the suspect continued driving into Mass. It was later discovered that Duarte was involved in a two-vehicle crash. The crash resulted in the death of 49-year-old Jeremy Cole of Exeter, New Hampshire. Duarte was also injured during the accident and was brought to a Boston hospital to be treated for serious injuries. New Hampshire troopers investigating the incident determined that Duarte had initially been driving northbound on I-95 before pulling into the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet parking lot. The outlet was closed at the time, and Duarte was seen through surveillance leaving the lot and entering the road in the wrong direction. On May 28, Massachusetts State Police notified New Hampshire troopers that Duarte had been arrested due to his outstanding arrest warrant. On Tuesday, Duarte was brought to New Hampshire and held at the Rockingham County Department of Corrections. Duarte was charged with two felony counts of reckless conduct and one misdemeanor count of disobeying an officer. He was arraigned in Hampton District Court on Wednesday. PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A North Adams man pleaded guilty to five charges involving assaulting a child in Berkshire Superior Court on Thursday. Springfield man sentenced to life for 2021 Chicopee murder Berkshire District Attorney's Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin shared in a news release that in 2022, 37-year-old Jesriel Morales of North Adams allegedly assaulted a six-year-old child. Morales reportedly slammed the child into a window and wall, hit them with a belt, slapped them, and forced them to kneel on dried rice. On Thursday, Morales pleaded guilty to three counts of Aggravated Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Child and two counts of Assault and Battery. He was sentenced to two and a half years in the Berkshire House of Corrections, followed by two years of probation. Morales was also ordered by the judge to have no contact with the victim and to participate in the Fatherhood program. 'I am pleased with the guilty plea,' said Berkshire District Attorney Timothy Shugrue. 'Jesriel Morales preyed on the most innocent member of society. Today, my thoughts are with the very young victim. I hope this conclusion provides them some peace and feeling of safety and security.' Female wrestling coach facing sexual assault charges

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Luzerne County former assistant wrestling coach is now behind bars facing sexual assault charges. The Wyoming Seminary coach was arraigned Friday afternoon after being accused of inappropriately touching a female wrestler. 25-year-old Nina Pham is accused of inappropriately touching a young female wrestler during a workout. Pham turned herself in to Kingston Police Friday afternoon. Former Wyoming Seminary assistant wrestling coach Nina Pham was taken to prison Friday afternoon. The 25-year-old is charged with institutional sexual assault and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age. According to police reports, it happened during a workout when Pham asked a young female wrestler to 'get down.' Cell phone store theft investigation moves forward Police and the criminal complaint indicate she then inappropriately touched the young girl and immediately stopped as two people entered the gym. Wyoming Seminary officials released a statement to 28/22 News: Wyoming Seminary is aware of an allegation of sexual misconduct involving a coach and has cooperated fully with authorities in the investigation. The individual was removed from campus and is no longer employed by Wyoming Seminary. To protect the privacy of those involved, we will not comment further at this time. Wyoming Seminary Director of Communications Jill Snowdon Police reports indicate Pham was hired as an assistant wrestling coach in December 2024. Pham's attorney, Frank Nocito, said during the arraignment that she served in the military and was awarded two Army achievement medals as well as previously qualifying for the wrestling Olympic trials. Wyoming Seminary tells 28/22 News that Pham was removed from campus and is no longer employed by the school. Pham's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 18. Her bail is set at $25,000.
