KPDN Seizes 1,000 Litres Of Subsidised Diesel In Seremban

SEREMBAN, July 25 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) seized about 1,000 litres of subsidised diesel through Op Tiris and Op Jeriji raids in Taman Angsamas, here yesterday.
State Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Climate Change, Cooperatives and Consumerism Committee chairman, S. Veerapan said the raid at 11 pm also seized a Daihatsu lorry, a 1,000 litre IBC tank; a water storage tank; a pump and pipe hose with a total value of RM18,912.91.
"An inspection carried out at a residential premises revealed the activity of storing diesel without a valid permit, believed to be for distribution. An individual was identified as the owner of the lorry and premises, was responsible for the operation," he said in a statement here today.

He died at the scene. KOTA KINABALU, July 29 (Bernama) -- The owner of two timber lorries was fined RM1,600 after they were found trying to move 59 logs without a removal pass in an operation in Kampung Randagong, Ranau at 1.30 am last Wednesday (July 23). Sabah Forestry Department (JPS) chief conservator of forests Datuk Frederick Kugan said the JPS, in collaboration with the General Operations Force (GOP) through 'Operation Khazanah', had detained the two lorries which were found to be moving between 7 pm and 7 am without permission. He said further investigation by the JPS confirmed that all the logs transported by the lorries were from the Sipitang district, and all royalty payments totalling RM4,732.70 had been paid to the state government.

Cops nabbed over alleged RM110,000 bribe to shield drug activities

Pahang MACC director Shukor Mahmud confirmed the arrests of four men when contacted. PETALING JAYA : The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Pahang has arrested two senior police officers and a retired officer for allegedly soliciting and receiving RM110,000 in bribes to protect drug and ketum distribution activities in the state. Bernama reported that a source said the three men were arrested at around 8.30pm yesterday after arriving at MACC's Temerloh branch to provide statements. A fourth suspect was arrested earlier. MACC believes all four colluded in the illegal activity from 2022 to 2024. 'One of the suspects is believed to have received monthly bribes amounting to between RM4,000 and RM5,000 through bank transfers into his personal account, which he then distributed to others,' the source said. One of the suspects had been released on MACC bail after his statement was recorded. The remaining three are currently under a seven-day remand order until Aug 4. Pahang MACC director Shukor Mahmud confirmed the arrests when contacted.
