Esha Deol Says She's 'Not A Single Mother' After Divorce: 'In Life, Roles Change...'

News1808-05-2025

In 2024, actor Esha Deol, daughter of well-known stars Hema Malini and Dharmendra, separated from her husband Bharat Takhtani. In a recent interview, she spoke about life as a single parent after the split. Esha shared that she and Bharat have created a new way of working together as parents to support their daughters, Radhya and Miraya. She said that when a couple separates, it's important for both people to act with maturity and find a way to keep the family bond strong for the sake of the children.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Mamaraazzi, Esha Deol was asked if being a single mom was more rewarding or more difficult. She said she doesn't think of herself as a single mother because she doesn't act like one or let others treat her that way. She said, 'I don't like to think of myself as a single mother because I don't behave like one nor do I let the other person behave that way with me. It's just that in life, sometimes, due to certain things, roles change. And if it doesn't work out in a certain equation of what two people were at one point, you must take it upon you, especially when you have children, the two mature individuals must take it upon them to work out in another dynamic but keep the unit together for the sake of the children. And that's exactly what Bharat and I do."

Gauahar shared that she had undergone a C-section for her first delivery and revealed she suffered a miscarriage before Zehaan's birth read more Gauahar Khan, who featured in movies like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Ishaqzaade and Fever among others, criticised Suniel Shetty's recent remarks about the 'comfort of C-section' on her newly launched YouTube podcast, MaaaNoranjan where she speaks motherhood, pregnancy and more. Gauahar shared that she had undergone a C-section for her first delivery and revealed she suffered a miscarriage before Zehaan's birth. 'There's one thing I never told everyone. I did have a miscarriage before Zehaan. What should I tell you about that feeling? It's impossible to describe it. It was a pregnancy, I lost the baby after almost 9 weeks. That loss was extremely difficult. And I'll be able to talk about it more in upcoming episodes,' Khan said on her podcast while holding back her tears. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Slamming Suniel Shetty's comment, who lauded his daughter Athiya for not opting for a C-section, she said, 'A what? I want to like scream at the top of my voice and say, How could you say that? Like how? There are so many myths around this topic — that if someone is having a C-section, it's the easier option. How can there be so much misinformation? and for a male celebrity to say that, who didn't go through pregnancy, didn't carry a child, doesn't know how painful C-section is.' While talking to News18, Suniel said, 'In a world where everybody wants the comfort of having a caesarean baby, she chose not to do that and had a natural delivery. I remember how every nurse and paediatrician in the hospital said that it's unbelievable how she went through the whole process. That hit me as a father. I was like, 'Wow, she's ready!' Athiya was very, very strong to do that.' The Kesari Veer star later clarified that his words were blown after proportion after garnering criticism for her comment.

In a conversation with Rashmi Uchil for her book Raising Stars: The Challenges and Joys of Being A Bollywood Parent, Soni spoke about an incident when she could not buy three business class tickets when she was traveling with her daughters, Alia and Shaheen, to Dubai. 'Once, we were travelling to Dubai and could not afford three business-class tickets. I told my children, 'I will travel first class, and you guys travel economy.' They made a face. When I went to check on them, I saw the lady in the seat right in front of them had reclined her seat, and these children had hardly any space in front of them. I told my children, 'Why don't you ask her to straighten her seat? Are you guys okay?' They were miffed and retorted, 'Why are you asking us how we are doing? We will not tell her anything.' The lady in front of them was a senior citizen and they felt bad telling her to straighten her seat. It wasn't a big deal at all,' she said.

Sitaare Zameen Par: Has Netflix offered Rs 125 crore to Aamir Khan to release his film on their streaming platform? Source says 'It's release on YouTube could disrupt…'

This adaptation of the Spanish film Campeones will not release on any OTT platform like Netflix or Prime Video. The film, post its theatrical release on June 20, will be available on YouTube read more Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par has kept audiences excited ever since its announcement. After a long wait, the makers finally dropped the first official poster of the film, giving audiences a glimpse of yet another joyful, refreshing, and enchanting tale. While the poster raised excitement to new heights, the actor has made a historic move with his new film. This remake of the Spanish film Campeones will not release on any OTT platform like Netflix or Prime Video. The film, post its theatrical release on June 20, will be available on YouTube on the basis of pay-per-view, something never done before for a Hindi film. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Now as per a report by Bollywood Hungama, Netflix has offered not Rs 60 but Rs 125 crore to the makers to stream the film on their streaming platform as opposed to a pay-per view model on YouTube. A source said, 'The film's move to a YouTube Pay-Per-View model could disrupt the whole ecosystem. If Aamir pulls it off, it will embolden more filmmakers to go direct-to-audience via open platforms. This would mean streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon will now have to compete with a format that is cheaper, more accessible, and less exclusive.' The senior insider added, 'For Netflix, acquiring Sitaare Zameen Par is no longer just about the film's potential - it's about protecting their turf. Aamir's audience reach and the credibility of the project make it a pivotal moment for OTT strategy in India.' Another source said, 'Aamir doesn't want to release his films directly on streaming after their theatrical run, as it discourages viewers from watching movies on the big screen. It is also a reason why there is no streaming logo on the poster of Sitaare Zameen Par.' A spiritual sequel to the 2007 superhit Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par is a film that everyone is eagerly looking forward to. After the first poster showcased Aamir Khan along with 10 debutant actors, audiences are now hooked and eager to see more of the film. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
