TV star Eddie McGuire's son Joe debuts new relationship with girlfriend Kamiah Gibson

TV star and sports commentator Eddie McGuire's son Joe publicly debuted his relationship with girlfriend Kamiah Gibson on Thursday.
The happy couple were all smiles in a photo shared to Instagram as they enjoyed a night out with friends in the US, where they are based.
Joe, 24, who is the youngest of Eddie's two sons, was all loved up as he cuddled with the blonde beauty in a restaurant booth.
'Couple old mates,' Joe captioned the series of photos, which also featured several images of him posing with his friends.
Kamiah commented on the post, referencing their picture together by writing: '2nd pic is cute.'

Joe was front and centre at the White House as his college football team was honoured by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in April.
The footy star was the punter for the Ohio State Buckeyes when they won the national championship in January by beating Notre Dame.
Ohio claimed the title over Notre Dame in Atlanta, with Joe playing in front of a national audience of more than 22 million.
He landed the position after a chance conversation during the COVID pandemic.
'One of my friends sort of came up to me in COVID and said you've got a decent leg, why don't you try this thing called Prokick Australia,' he explained.
'What the world is like at the moment, anything I did in Melbourne there are going to be some people who say you only did that because of your dad.
'This is just one thing that it just does not matter who your dad is or whatever.
'You have to put in the work and you have to be good enough, or else there's just no way they play you at a school like this.'
Joe tried out for the team through Prokick Australia, interviewing via FaceTime from Australia to the US in 2023.
Eddie, his well-known father, was surprised by Joe's journey, but extremely supportive.
'It was very impressive to watch a young kid have a go at this outlandish sort of dream,' Eddie said of his son.
'He literally started from scratch… and now he's playing in front of 100,000 every week.'

Report: Bengals, DE Trey Hendrickson make progress, 'not close' on guarantees

July 28 - One holdout defensive end is under contract, but there is still ground to gain in negotiations between the Cincinnati Bengals and Trey Hendrickson. Hendrickson, the NFL leader in sacks last season with 17.5, is training in Florida while Cincinnati gets ready for the regular season. The Bengals have made progress toward an agreement with the 30-year-old, but ESPN reported Monday the hangup over the amount of guaranteed money in the deal is significant. NFL reporter Adam Schefter said during an interview on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Monday the two sides are OK with the length and total amount in the new contract. But he said there is between "$6 million and $10 million" difference in what the Bengals are offering in guarantees and what Hendrickson wants. The Bengals finally had a breakthrough with first-round pick Shemar Stewart, their 2025 first-round pick who had been a holdout over contract language. Hendrickson is subject to daily fines of $50,000 for missing training camp. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Hendrickson has been seeking a long-term deal since last year and said in the offseason he was open to a trade if it meant being paid what he believes to be his true value. At issue is Hendrickson's $15.8 million salary in 2025, the last season on a four-year, $60 million contract he signed in 2021. The highest-paid pass rushers in the NFL are all making at least $34 million per season, with Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons also in line for a massive payday. Hendrickson has indicated he won't play without a bump in pay. "When there's a lack of communication in any relationship, where it's a business or personal relationship, lack of communication leads to animosity, and that leaves my narrative only to me with no clear direction," Hendrickson said May 13 when asked about whether he wants to remain with the Bengals. --Field Level Media

Braves add RHP Carlos Carrasco in deal with Yankees

July 28 - The Atlanta Braves acquired veteran right-hander Carlos Carrasco from the New York Yankees on Monday in exchange for cash considerations. Carrasco, 38, had been designated for assignment by the Yankees in May before accepting an assignment to remain with the organization and join the roster at Triple-A Scranton. Carrasco was 2-2 with a 5.91 ERA in eight appearances (six starts) with the Yankees and 4-2 with a 3.27 ERA in 11 appearances (10 starts) at Triple-A this season. The move comes one day after the Braves added right-hander Erick Fedde, who was designated for assignment by the St. Louis Cardinals. In 16 major league seasons, Carrasco is 112-105 with a 4.18 ERA in 332 appearances (283 starts) for the Cleveland Indians (2009-2020), the New York Mets (2021-23), Cleveland Guardians (2024) and Yankees. The Braves are dealing with pitching injuries to Chirs Sale (ribs), Grant Holmes (elbow), Reynaldo Lopez (shoulder), Spencer Schwellenbach (elbow) and AJ Smith-Shawver (elbow). --Field Level Media

Emmanuel Clase named in bombshell Major League Baseball gambling probe

Cleveland Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase has reportedly been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave as part of Major League Baseball's gambling investigation. Clase pitched in both games of a doubleheader on Saturday against the Royals in what will likely be his final MLB action for some time. Clase is on paid leave through August 31, per ESPN, and has the same designation as teammate Luis Ortiz, who is also connected with the betting probe. Clase is viewed as one of the elite relief pitchers in baseball, giving a severe handicap to the Guardians, who are looking to stay in contention in the American League Wild Card race. The Guardians said in a statement - 'The Guardians have been notified by Major League Baseball that as part if their sports betting investigation Emmanuel Clase has been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave per an agreement with the Players Association.' 'We have been informed that no additional players or club personnel are expected to be impacted.' 'The Guardians are not permitted to comment further at this time, and will respect the league's confidential investigative process as we continue to fully cooperate.'
