The game at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on February 23 had to be called off at half time due to a power failure at the venue.
Arrows – 'Starting from the second half'
'Our previously postponed Betway Prem fixture against SuperSport United will be completed, starting from the second half,' said Arrows on Twitter on Thursday.
'The date and time for the remainder of the match is still to be decided. We will update you on this as soon as possible.'
It is unclear quite why it has taken the Premier Soccer League almost three months to make a decision regarding the match.
There was a possibility that a PSL Disciplinary Committee would award the game to Arrows, as SuperSport as the home side failed to supply a backup generator.
But with both sides still in danger of relegation, it has now been decided that the game will be played. The first 45 minutes on February 23 ended at 1-1, so that is where the game will start from when it is played to a finish.
With Royal AM kicked out of the league, only one team faces possible relegation via the play offs at the end of this season.
Battle to avoid finishing 15th
Cape Town City are currently in the relegation play-off spot in 15th in the table on 26 points. SuperSport are ahead of City only on goal difference, but have one game in hand.
Arrows are a point clear of both, also with one game in hand.
City will play Stellenbosch on Saturday at the Cape Town Stadium in their last game of the season. On the same day at the same time, SuperSport will host Richards Bay while Arrows are at home to Sekhukhune.

Depending on how those matches go, SuperSport v Arrows could then be the match that decides who goes into the play-offs, or it could be a meaningless half of football.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates both battle for Rapoo's signature
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are in a fierce competition for Neo Rapoo, SuperSport United's highly-rated 19-year-old left-back. Rapoo's rise through the ranks has been nothing short of meteoric. After a standout season with SuperSport and an instrumental role in guiding South Africa's U20 side to the Africa Cup of Nations title, the young star has cemented his status as one of the most exciting defensive talents in the country. While scouts from Scandinavia and the Gulf have expressed interest, domestic interest is heating up rapidly. A source within SuperSport has confirmed that both Chiefs and Pirates are 'seriously after' Rapoo, who is widely tipped to become a future Bafana Bafana regular. 'Yes they are both (Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates) interested but SuperSport would prefer to sell to a European club,' a reliable insider revealed. 'But an offer has not come through yet. Also, the boy only has one season left on his contract, so there is a risk of losing him on a free next season.' Orlando Pirates' urgency stems from recent changes in their defensive line. With Paseka Mako released and Innocent Maela retiring, the Buccaneers have made left-back a top priority. Rapoo's pace, composure, and attacking instincts fit the mould of what the club needs moving forward. Kaizer Chiefs have also identified Rapoo as a long-term solution for a position that has consistently troubled them in recent seasons. With a rebuild underway and a renewed focus on youth, the Amakhosi see Rapoo as a perfect fit for their new project. Despite his aspirations of eventually playing in Europe, Rapoo remains open to a move within the Betway Premiership as the next step in his development. His current contract situation adds another layer of urgency. With just one year remaining on his deal, SuperSport face the risk of losing the player on a free transfer if they don't act fast. Both Chiefs and Pirates know this could be their best chance to land one of South African football's brightest prospects before overseas offers come calling. Who can convince Rapoo to join them? OPINION: Al-Ahly and Sundowns face defining CWC Campaigns
Al-Ahly coach José Riveiro and his Sundowns counterpart Miguel Cardoso will be under immense pressure to prove their worth. Jose Riveiro, former head coach of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso during the Betway Premiership match at FNB Stadium on March 16, 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa. (Photo by Lefty Shivambu/Gallo Images) African football will be under the spotlight at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, with four clubs, Al Ahly (Egypt), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), and Esperance (Tunisia) set to fly the flag for the continent. It's not just about participation anymore. The pressure is firmly on these sides to compete, deliver results, and change global perceptions. ALSO READ: Percy Tau on what Kaizer Chiefs must pay to sign him All eyes will be on the touchline, where Al-Ahly coach José Riveiro and his Sundowns counterpart Miguel Cardoso will be under immense pressure to prove their worth. Both are leading teams with lofty expectations and unforgiving fanbases. And while every manager at the Club World Cup has something to prove, few will be judged as harshly as these two. Riveiro, a former Orlando Pirates boss, has already described Ahly as 'almost a European team'. That statement alone sets the bar. The Cairo giants are not strangers to this tournament, having earned four bronze medals (2006, 2020, 2021, 2023). With Inter Miami, Porto, and Palmeiras awaiting in Group A, Al Ahly's path will be tough, but this is a club built for big stages. A group exit would be seen as failure. At the very least, a knockout spot is expected. Cardoso's task is no easier as the Brazilians are coming off a bitterly disappointing CAF Champions League final loss to Pyramids FC. That result has left fans demanding both redemption and a return to the attacking football the club is known for. In Group B, Sundowns face Ulsan HD, Borussia Dortmund, and Fluminense. It's not a kind draw, but with the depth and experience in their squad, failure to compete would raise serious questions of Cardoso's credentials. For both coaches, this tournament could double as an audition to keep their jobs. Expectations are sky-high, and anything short of a strong showing may just result in changes at the top. Success is not just about results at these two African heavyweights because attractive football does matter Wydad Casablanca and Esperance, while slightly less scrutinised, carry the same burden of representing African football on the global stage. Morocco's World Cup semi-final run in 2022 shattered old stereotypes and proved that African teams can match the best in the world. Club sides now have a similar responsibility and that's to compete with pride and show the immense talent the continent has to offer Gone are the days when African clubs travelled to the global showpieces just to make up the numbers. The gap between the so-called giants and Africa's best is shrinking. This tournament is a golden opportunity to prove it. ALSO READ: Maema tight-lipped on future after making Sundowns Club World Cup squad The narrative is shifting. African fans no longer hope for miracles, but they expect progress. The whole African continent will be watching Ahly and Sundowns with keen interest. This could prove a defining moment, not only for their global standing but also for the futures of their respective head coaches.
