Ye Storms Off Piers Morgan Interview: ‘We Can Circle Back When You Can Count'
Ye (formerly Kanye West) joined Piers Morgan for another interview on Tuesday (May 6), but the combative chat was short-lived as West stormed off just minutes into the sit-down.
Within the first few seconds, things got contentious when Morgan called him 'Ye West,' with Ye responding that he's dropped West to lose his 'slave name.'

'You see that view,' Yeezy said with a serene balcony view of the ocean off the Mallorca coast behind him. 'Judge me by the view,' he said when asked how his life is 'at the moment.'
Morgan felt that reply was in 'direct contrast' to the sentiments Ye has expressed with unhinged rants on X in recent months.
'I already disagree,' Ye cut off Morgan. 'It's not in contrast. It's so many people and artists that are championing the idea of expressing who they really are and having to go through the war of being attacked by the banks and to still be here with this view, that's the win.'
Right before things went off the rails, Ye was offended that Morgan got his follower count wrong on X. Morgan listed 32 million when the exact number is upward of 33.3 million at press time.
'You're not gonna take inches off my di–, bro,' the Chicago native said. 'I'm a gift, bro. Why do all you people in media act like you haven't played my songs at your weddings, or graduations or at funerals or when your child was born?'
He continued: 'You take someone like that's living, like a [John] Lennon or a Michael Jackson. That nuance right there is idiotic. It just shows the hate that you put out for people that put out love. There's so much love in the art that I put out.'
The Uncensored host was taken aback, and then West stormed off. 'This is what you get for now, we can circle back when you can count.'
Morgan called Ye a 'sniveling little coward' and took out his frustrations on streamer Sneako, who was seated next to Ye during the interview. Morgan wanted to 'hold Ye accountable,' and he pressed Sneako about standing next to Ye in recent months after the rapper had expressed antisemitic remarks and praised the likes of Hitler and Diddy.

Kanye West Has Changed His Name a Second Time
Kanye West has changed his name for a second time, according to a new report. West, 48, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021, is now going by the name Ye Ye, according to the business documents obtained by Page Six. The papers, which were filed by West's chief financial officer Hussain Lalani, list the polarizing rapper's "manager or member name" as Ye Ye. Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc. are now all under Ye Ye after previously being listed under "Ye West." As of now, West/Ye has not announced his switch to Ye Ye publicly. The 24-time Grammy winner did say on X/Twitter earlier this month that he would no longer be using his @kanyewest handle, though he hasn't followed through on that proclamation. 'Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest twitter cause my name is Ye,' West tweeted June 1. 'Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is.' West previously announced in 2018 he would be changing his name from Kanye West to Ye, a switch that became official three years later. West said at the time he made the change for "personal reasons." In March 2024, Milo Yiannopoulos, far-right commentator and the Graduation rapper's chief of staff, demanded in a letter that West be referred to as "Ye" and not by his "slave name." 'He didn't take the decision to change his name, potentially sacrificing some of the immense value captured by the brand of 'Kanye West,' lightly. The change was made fully, legally, and permanently. ‘Destination X' Premiere Ratings Grow to Reach 4.2 Million Viewers Across NBC, Peacock
The 'Destination X' premiere has grown to reach over 4 million viewers, TheWrap can reveal exclusively. The premiere episode, which first premiered on May 27, has reached 4.2 million viewers across NBC, Peacock and all other platforms, according to Nielsen figures, doubling the episode's initial live-plus-same-day viewership of 2.1 million. 'Destination X,' which airs Tuesdays on NBC, saw a 20% week-to-week uptick in viewership in the key demo among adults 18-49 when comparing the premiere episode to its second installment, which aired June 3. To date, the new unscripted series has reached more than 9 million viewers across all platforms. Hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 'Destination X' challenges strangers to traverse European countries on a blacked-out bus with the goal of figuring out where they are each week. By the end of the competition series, the final player will find Morgan at the ultimate Destination X and win a cash prize of $250,000. In Episode 3, which premieres Tuesday, June 10, 'Destination X' will introduce two new familiar faces in JaNa Craig ('Love Island USA' Season 6, 'Love Island: Beyond the Villa') and Peter Weber ('The Bachelor,' 'The Traitors'). The official logline for Episode 3 is as follows: 'Love is in the air as the journey continues and the clues get trickier. With romance brewing and red herrings in play, one player's journey ends.
