‘Luther' Ties ‘Not Like Us' for Most Weeks at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart
Barely three months after his 'Not Like Us' shattered the mark as the longest-running No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Kendrick Lamar is back for another stab at the record books. Lamar's 'Luther' collaboration with frequent collaborator (and current Grand National co-headliner) SZA captures a record-tying 22nd week at No. 1 on the multi-metric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart dated May 31, matching 'Not Like Us' for the all-time mark since the chart became a singular, all-encompassing genre ranking in October 1958. 'Not Like Us' rang up 21 weeks in charge in 2024 amid its moment in Lamar's diss track war with Drake, and rebounded for a 22nd frame in February after Lamar's performance of the song during the halftime show of Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9. As 'Luther' shares the gold medal, here's a look at the songs the most weeks at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in its 66-year history: Most Weeks at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs: 22, 'Luther,' Kendrick Lamar & SZA, 2024-2522, 'Not Like Us,' Kendrick Lamar, 2024-2521, 'Kill Bill,' SZA, 2022-2320, 'Old Town Road,' Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, 201918, 'Industry Baby,' Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow, 2021-2218, 'One Dance,' Drake feat. WizKid & Kyla, 201616, 'Blurred Lines,' Robin Thicke feat. T.I. + Pharrell, 201315, 'Be Without You,' Mary J. Blige, 2006 For its 22nd week in charge, 'Luther' registered 16.7 million official United States streams, 2,000 sales downloads and 60.5 million in airplay audience in the tracking week of May 16-22, according to Luminate, declines of 8%, 6% and 4%, respectively, in each metric. Mirroring its Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs triumph, 'Luther' achieves a 22nd week at No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart. The melodic rap cut remains in second place for the longest stay at the summit in the chart's 35-year history, trailing only 'Not Like Us' and its 26-week record. While 'Luther' extends its domination on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, it surrenders the top spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 to Morgan Wallen's 'What I Want,' featuring Tate McRae. The new champ clips the 'Luther' reign at 13 weeks – still, easily the longest-running No. 1 for both Lamar and SZA atop the flagship chart. Jennifer Lopez Flaunts Her Abs in Nothing But Diamonds and Fringe for Her Fifth Look at the AMAs
Jennifer Lopez hosted the American Music Awards (AMAs) on May 26—with a total of eight outfit changes. One outfit, a metallic gown with a sheer tiered fringe shirt, showed off Lopez's hard-earned abs—and called back to her Bronx roots. This particular outfit is from Bronx and Banco's Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection, a subtle nod to where Lopez proudly hails Lopez returned to host the American Music Awards for the second time, 10 years after she first did so in 2015. For the occasion, Lopez wore an impressive eight outfit changes—including one that called back to her roots. Lopez is proudly from the Bronx, and at one point during the AMAs she wore a Bronx and Banco look from the brand's Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection that showed off her abs. The sparkling metallic gown featured dramatic cutouts and a sheer tiered fringe skirt as she juggled both hosting and performing duties on May 26. The AMAs are deeply personal to Lopez—her first appearance on the show's stage was all the way back in 1991, when she performed as a backup dancer for New Kids on the Block when she was just 21 years old. The awards show 'has been such a big part of my music journey and history,' she told USA Today, adding, 'We're going to celebrate the year in music.' Lopez told the outlet that she doesn't usually agree to hosting gigs because 'believe it or not, I'm quite shy,' she said. 'I'm a performer, so if I have a script or a song, I can do that and I love doing that. But hosting is a different thing, a different skill set. I wouldn't say it's my favorite thing to do.' She certainly looked the part, and as InStyle reported, Lopez didn't fully know what she was going to wear until the night of: 'There's a lot of different options,' she said. 'I will change [my mind]. I'll be like, 'No, I don't like this hair. Let's just pull it back. Give me a ponytail. Where are my hoops?' There's so many different ways to go, and I'm just going to pick whatever feels good in the moment.' 'I'm obviously going to be glam,' she added. 'Some glam, some cool, some chic and elegant, and some sexy, too. All the things that you associate with me and fashion.' Lopez told People of choosing her looks, 'I work with my stylist and we kind of kick around ideas like, 'What do we want it to be for the performance and what do we want it to be for the hosting and what's our vibe?' We feel it out because I think it does change. For me, my feelings change from month to month, like, 'Who do I want to be today?' because I feel like there's so many different sides to who I am fashion-wise.' As for executing quick changes during performances—as she did Monday night—'I always want to keep the audience engaged and excited,' Lopez said. 'We just have learned to do it so fast,' she continued. 'So I'm sure we hold a world record or something somewhere.' Read the original article on InStyle

Jenny McCarthy was 'too cool' to be into husband Donnie Wahlberg's boy band New Kids on the Block
Jenny McCarthy was "too cool" to be a fan of husband Donnie Wahlberg's boy band New Kids on the Block. The couple first met in 2012 but the 52-year-old 'Masked Singer' judge insists she wasn't the right age to be into the 'You Got It (The Right Stuff)', who formed in 1984 and became popular in the late-80s and early 90s. Jenny laughed to PEOPLE: "If I were in my late 40s, I probably would've fit into that slot of New Kid's fan, but I'm 52, going on 53, so I was too cool for that. "I was really into Madonna, though. "Like, dressed like her, I'd wear my shirt showing my bra strap. Absolutely loved her." However, she did see her future husband on TV during his heyday. She recalled: "The first time I remember seeing Donnie was on Entertainment Tonight, and he was on his motorcycle, and I was like, 'Look at that guy trying to look so cool on his motorcycle!' It's so funny...I never thought one day I would be marrying Donnie." Although Jenny and Donnie first met in 2012 but didn't start dating until a year later. They married on August 31, 2014. The former Playmate has son Evan, 22, with her actor former husband John Asher, 54, while Donnie is dad to sons Xavier, 32, and Elijah, 23, with ex-wife Kim Fey. Jenny and Donnie are so loved-up, they renew their wedding vows every year. Appearing on the 'Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa' podcast in 2024, Jenny said of their romantic tradition: "I used to make fun of celebrities when they would do it, or people in general, when they renew their vows. "I'm like, 'That's so corny and weird. Your wedding's over. Just stay married,' and then Donnie — this is a tradition Donnie wanted to implement."

Billy Joel's Ex Christie Brinkley Shows Support After His Health Diagnosis: ‘Sending You Lots of Love'
Christie Brinkley is showing her support for ex-husband Billy Joel following news of his recent health diagnosis. On Saturday (May 24), the 71-year-old model took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to Joel, 76, just one day after he revealed he had been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), a type of brain disorder. More from Billboard Billy Joel Cancels All Upcoming Performances Due to Medical Condition Sophie Turner Shows Support for Ex-Husband Joe Jonas' New Album D'Angelo Cancels 2025 Roots Picnic Performance Due to 'Unforeseen' Medical Issue 'Dear Billy, the whole Brinkley gang is sending you lots of love and good wishes for a full and speedy recovery,' Brinkley wrote on Instagram. Her message was accompanied by video clips of herself and daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook — whose father is Peter Cook — attending one of Joel's past concerts. 'I was looking for some cute photos of you and Alexa to send you, when I came across this clip from a recent concert,' she continued. 'It made me laugh … but it also reminded me of all the joy you create, and all the sensational sing a longs you've lead… You turn an arena of strangers into a living room full of friends as we all sway in unison.' Brinkley closed her message with an emotional note of encouragement. 'I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone in that room when I say please take good care of yourself, we all want you back in that white hot spotlight, you're OUR piano man,' she wrote. 'And we're always in the mood for your melodies And we all hope you're feeling alright! We Love You, the kids, me and an arena or two!' Brinkley and Joel married in 1985 and welcomed daughter Alexa Ray Joel that same year. The couple divorced in 1994 after nearly a decade together. Just last month, Brinkley was spotted in the audience at Joel's concert at New York's Madison Square Garden, smiling and dancing along to his 1983 hit 'Uptown Girl' — a song he famously wrote with Brinkley in mind. In Fred Schruers' 2014 biography Billy Joel: The Definitive Biography, the iconic musician revealed that the track was initially inspired by the models of Manhattan, but he changed the title from plural to singular after beginning his relationship with Brinkley. Earlier this week, Joel announced he would be canceling all upcoming shows due to complications from NPH. 'This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance,' he said in a statement. 'Under his doctor's instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period. Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health.' The cancellations include several scheduled appearances throughout summer and fall 2025, as well as early 2026, including joint shows with Sting, Rod Stewart, and Stevie Nicks.
