Justin Bieber Returns With ‘Swag' on Surprise New Album: Stream It Now
We may as well be chilling by the fire while we eatin' fondue, because Justin Bieber's Swag is here. Released at midnight Friday (July 11) — just a few hours after the pop star announced its existence — Bieber's seventh studio album features 21 new songs. The singer first unveiled the tracklist in a video of a black-and-white billboard shared on his Instagram without explanation, revealing the titles 'All I Can Take,' 'Daisies,' 'Yukon,' 'Go Baby,' 'Things You Do,' 'Butterflies,' 'Way It Is,' 'First Place,' 'Soulful,' 'Walking Away,' 'Glory Voice Memo,' 'Devotion,' 'Dadz Love,' 'Therapy Session,' 'Sweet Spot,' '405,' 'Swag,' 'Zuma House,' 'Too Long' and 'Forgiveness.' The project marks Bieber's first full-length since 2021's Justice, which spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — one of eight No. 1 entries he's scored on the chart over the course of his career. He's also become a father since he last dropped an album, welcoming baby boy Jack Blues with wife Hailey Bieber last August. Both the 11-month-old and the Rhode founder were featured heavily in promotional photos that circulated in the hours leading up to Swag, with the whole family appearing on the billboard shared by Justin on Instagram. In the artwork, Hailey holds little Jack in the background while the two-time Grammy winner stares down the camera in front. For years, it was unclear whether Bieber would ever release another album as the star took a large step back from performing. In 2022, he announced that he'd been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a condition that caused half of his face to be temporarily paralyzed. In the months leading up to Swag, however, he repeatedly teased that he was back to making music by sharing photos of himself in the studio. Listen to Bieber's Swag below. Lizzo Shares Before & After Photos, Reveals ‘Truth' Behind Weight Loss
Lizzo is showing off her progress while silencing haters. In a triumphant post on Instagram on Thursday (July 3), the hitmaker shared side-by-side photos from before and after her weight loss, revealing the 'truth' behind how she pulled off her transformation. In both snaps, Lizzo poses in front of a mirror at a lymphatic massage center. Taken months apart, the Grammy winner looks visibly slimmer in the second photo. 'I work my a– off, training 3x a week, daily sauna & cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet, hiring a chef who helps me meal prep and keeps track of what I put into my body in a calorie deficit, cutting out sugary Starbucks & full fat sodas & potato chips.' Lizzo went on to say that she quit drinking for a long time, but is now back to indulging in alcohol because she 'earned it.' 'I play pickleball and hike and walk on the beach and move my body and dance and drink water,' she added. 'I detox! Once a month! I also get holistic body work done, wood therapy, and lymphatic massage.' The musician concluded, 'I'm so happy and proud of what I've done, and no one can take that away from me.' Lizzo has been open in the past few months about her fitness journey. In a recent Women's Health cover story, she opened up about being inspired to shed some pounds after suffering severe back pain caused by her weight. The artist — whose new album Love in Real Life drops later this year — also explained why she prefers to view her approach as a 'weight-release journey,' rather than weight 'loss.' 'It's okay to gain weight after you've released weight, because what you're not going to do is shame me if my body changes again and I get bigger,' she told the publication. See Lizzo's post below. Mariah Carey's ‘Type Dangerous' Video Features MrBeast, But Not for Long
Let the games begin with Mariah Carey — if you don't mind a little danger. Mimi can make a man disappear with an on-brand quip and a simple shrug, a talent she casually demonstrates in her new 'Type Dangerous' music video, featuring a surprise cameo from MrBeast. Carey sings all about how she's 'never been afraid of love/ That's why I like 'em dangerous' in her new single. But she also doesn't need anyone wasting her time. 'I don't have time for the rigamarole,' she warns on the track's first verse, during which she makes her grand arrival in a sparkling evening gown in the Joseph Kahn-directed visual. Across seven acts, Ms. Danger herself turns the heads — and, with some fun special effects, deals with — Mr. Player, Mr. Danger, Mr. Traitor, Mr. Racer, Mr. Dealer and finally, the YouTuber MrBeast, who enters in Act 7. The 'Type Dangerous' video is here just a week after the single dropped. Carey's last full-length album was 2018's Caution, which was a top 5 album on the Billboard 200. She recently hinted that MC16 — her long-awaited 16th album — might soon follow. This year was a milestone year for one of Carey's most iconic albums. She celebrated the 20th anniversary of The Emancipation of Mimi in April with the May release of a deluxe, multi-disc anniversary edition of the LP, featuring remixes, bonus tracks, radio mixes and a cappella cuts. Mariah Carey Drops Surprise ‘Type Dangerous' Remix EP Featuring Collabs With Big Sean, DJ Snake, Method Man & More
Mariah Carey just heated up your already steamy summer with a surprise four-track EP featuring all-star remixes of her latest single, 'Type Dangerous.' The elusive chanteuse dropped the four piece on Friday morning (July 11) with revamps featuring a trio of her day one MC pals, Busta Rhymes, Method Man and Red Man (titled 'The Remix of the Gods'), as well as new takes with Big Sean ('The Sean Don Remix'), DJ Snake ('The Touch The Soul of the People Remix') and Brazilian singer Luísa Sonza ('The Brazil Funk Remix'). The 'Gods' remix keeps the original's 'clap to this' sample and bouncing funk beat with Redman up first, rapping, 'I came through the door swingin' that big hammer/ Like Thor, meat coat dragging on the floor/ Soul training wars, I'm handling my business,' followed by a typically punchy Meth verse. 'I don't bug out of chill or be acting ill/ No script since 36, this a master kill/ No tricks, clean up the fish, this a massing kill/ To the masses, I get it lit, this is mass appeal,' he adds, as Busta pulls up last with his signature tricky flow, rapping, 'Stay with us while they flavor for most of them folks is flavorless/ When I spit, I'm the craziest and they sound like the laziest/ Maybe this one of the situations you thought you was the nicest/ And your guard failed you so now you became an atheist.' More from Billboard Mariah Carey Earns Her Milestone 50th Billboard Hot 100 Hit With 'Type Dangerous' 'KPop Demon Hunters' Slays Its Way to No. 1 on ARIA Albums Chart Saweetie Announces New Track 'Boffum' Ahead of Australian Tour Sean doesn't pull punches on his take, either, dropping seductive lines including, 'Just like that album from the almighty/ And I been on you for the whole night/ You shine so bright even in the low light/ You the prototype, you tell me I'm the worst type/ 'Cause when we met you said it's love at first sight/ He hate it how you try to balance love and work life/ I knew y'all wouldn't last so I put you on that first flight.' While Snake's remix gives the song a swoony, hip-swiveling Latin club vibe, Sonza's hyped-up, high-energy take amps up the BPMs even more and includes a sensual Portuguese verse in which the singer reveals she likes it when her lover is 'obsessed with me.' The first single from MC's upcoming as-yet-untitled 16th studio album dropped on June 6 and so far it is the only preview of the singer's first full LP since 2018's Caution. Carey recently confirmed that she's wrapped work on the album, revealing that will be 11, or possibly 12, songs on the LP and that it will include some classic 'Mariah ballads,' as well as a second, 'summery,' single due out soon.
