Dua Lipa Is The Youngest Person On UK's Under-40 Rich List
With an estimated fortune of GBP115 million ($153 million), the Anglo-Albanian singer, whose album "Radical Optimism" topped the British charts, ranks 34th in the 40 Under 40 category.
The Sunday Times Rich List, in its 37th year, includes also people who are not British citizens but who live and work in the UK.
Others to feature in the 40 Under 40 list are "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe and England footballer Harry Kane on GBP100 million each, just behind retired tennis player Andy Murray.
Singer Adele's fortune is estimated to be worth GBP170 million, while peers Harry Styles has GBP225 million and Ed Sheeran GBP370 million.
The overall Rich List is dominated by entrepreneurs, financiers, and property owners.
Gopi Hinduja and his family, who are behind the Indian conglomerate Hinduja Group, retained the title of Britain's richest, despite their wealth dropping to GBP35.3 billion from GBP37.2 billion.
The Sunday Times noted that the number of billionaires in the UK has fallen to 156 from 165, the biggest drop in the list's history.
The Labour government is tightening a loophole that allows people with "non-dom" status, those who live in Britain but whose permanent domicile is abroad, to avoid UK tax on income earned outside the country.
"Our billionaire count is down and the combined wealth of those who feature in our research is falling," said Robert Watts, compiler of the Rich List.
"We are also finding fewer of the world's super rich are coming to live in the UK."
Also to feature on this year's list is Jim Ratcliffe, founder of petrochemicals group Ineos and minority owner of Manchester United football club.
He remains in the top ten with GBP17 billion, though his fortune has slumped around GBP6 billion in the past year owing to struggles at his company.
Paul McCartney is the sole billionaire musician in 151st place.
Elton John is worth GBP475 million, about 35 million more than Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones.
King Charles III's fortune reached GBP640 million, placing him in 238th place, tied with Britain's former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty, who has benefited from Infosys, the tech giant founded by her father.
The combined wealth of the 350 entries stands at GBP772.8 billion -- down three percent on 2024.
The list takes into account "identifiable wealth -- such as land, property, racehorses, art or significant shares in publicly quoted companies", the paper noted.
It excludes private bank accounts, which means an individual's wealth "may be much larger" than stated, it added.

The travel ministers did not announce a timeline for when services would begin on the direct connection. In June, the railway company Eurostar announced that it wanted to offer a direct connection between Germany and Great Britain for the first time in the coming years. Stressed UK Teens Seek Influencers' Help For Exams Success
Posing as a fortune teller on his YouTube channel, former teacher Waqar Malik tells thousands of followers that he can predict this year's exam questions. He is among online study influencers gaining popularity among stressed British teenagers in search of exam success. But educators and examiners are concerned some pupils are relying too much on online advice. Malik posts videos on TikTok and YouTube forecasting questions on classic English literature for the UK GCSE school exam taken at 16. Last year "I predicted the entire paper," he says on his popular "Mr Everything English" channel. Malik, who says he is a former assistant head teacher, notes that he is just making an "educated guess", but educators remain concerned. "If you are a 15- or 16- year-old doing your GCSEs and you've got somebody in your phone who's telling you 'this is what the English exam is going to be about'... that is so appealing," said Sarah Brownsword, an assistant professor in education at the University of East Anglia. After British pupils sat their exams in May, some complained that Malik's predictions were wrong. "Never listening to you again bro," one wrote, while others said they were "cooked" (done for) and would have to work in a fast food restaurant. With GCSE results set to be released on August 21, one exam board, AQA, has warned of "increasing reliance on certain online revision channels". "Clearly this is an important source of revision and support for students," it said. But the examiners want "your interpretation of the texts you have studied, not some stranger's views on social media". Students are overloaded, school leaders say. "With so much content to cover and revise in every subject it can be completely overwhelming," Sarah Hannafin, head of policy for the school leaders' union NAHT, told AFP. "And so it is unsurprising that young people are looking for anything to help them to cope." Malik, whose prediction video has been viewed on YouTube 290,000 times, did not respond to a request for comment. Brownsword praised TikTok, where she posts grammar videos for student teachers, saying: "You can learn about anything and watch videos about absolutely anything". Teachers have always flagged questions that could come up, she said, but predicting exam questions online is "really tricky". "But I think there's a real difference between doing that and doing it on such a scale, when you've got thousands or tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of followers online." Other content creators defended such videos, however. "Those kind of videos were never to mislead," said Tilly Taylor, a university student posting TikTok videos with candid revision advice to 100,000 followers. "I make it very clear in my videos that these are predictions," based on past papers and examiners' reports, said Taylor, who appeals to younger viewers with her fashionable eye makeup. Other content creators sell predicted papers "all the time," Taylor said, but "I don't think it's right." Other educational influencers were more in favour. "If you're marketing it as a predicted paper, that's completely fine... you just can't say guaranteed paper," said Ishaan Bhimjiyani, 20, who has over 400,000 TikTok followers. He promoted a site offering an English predicted paper for GBP1.99 ($2.70) with a "history of 60-70 percent accuracy". Predicted papers allow you to "check whether you're actually prepared for the exam", said Jen, a creator and former teacher who posts as Primrose Kitten and declined to give her surname. Her site charges GBP4.99 for an English predicted paper and includes a video on phrasing to score top marks. Bhimjiyani, who went to a private school, started posting on TikTok at 16, saying he was "documenting my journey, posting about how I revise". "And then it kind of took off." He founded an educational influencer agency, Tap Lab, that now represents over 100 bloggers in their mid-teens to mid-20s. Influencers earn most from paid promotions -- for recruiters or beauty or technology brands --- which must be labelled as such, he said. Bhimjiyani made GBP5,000 with his first such video. Taylor said she recently promoted student accommodation. No one explained "how do you actually revise", Taylor said of her school years. So she turned to YouTube for ideas. "I wanted to help someone like myself," she said, "who couldn't necessarily afford to go to private school or have private tuition."

Trump Names Stallone, Strait Among Kennedy Center Honorees
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday named "Rocky" star Sylvester Stallone and country music great George Strait among the recipients of the Kennedy Center Honors, as he pursues a controversial overhaul of the storied arts venue. Since returning to office in January, the Republican leader has declared war on what he calls "woke" viewpoints espoused in the nation's cultural institutions, including a fresh probe of content at several Smithsonian museums. The Kennedy Center, a living monument to the late John F. Kennedy that opened in 1971, has long enjoyed bipartisan support but has been in the president's crosshairs, and he appointed himself board chairman in February. "We have completely reversed the decline of this cherished national institution," Trump told reporters at the stately white marble complex overlooking the Potomac River. "We ended the woke political programming." Also receiving the Kennedy Center Honors, one of the nation's highest arts awards for lifetime achievement, will be disco diva Gloria Gaynor, rock band KISS and British actor Michael Crawford, known for Broadway's "Phantom of the Opera." Trump announced he himself would host the awards gala, which usually takes place in early December and is later broadcast on CBS. "I did not insist, but I think it will be quite successful," he said. He also joked that he wanted an honor himself but was "never able to get one." Stallone, who at 79 is the same age as Trump, is a three-time Oscar nominee: for best actor and screenplay for the 1976 classic boxing flick "Rocky," and for best supporting actor, again in the Rocky Balboa role, in the 2015 follow-up "Creed." The Smithsonian Institution, which runs a vast network of museums, said it was reviewing a White House letter announcing a probe of content aimed at removing "divisive or partisan narratives."
