2nd Barcelona star in the sights of Monaco this summer
French outfit AS Monaco have set their sights on a summer deal for a 2nd member of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona.
That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.

Barcelona and Monaco, of course, have already done business once this summer.
As much came by way of a lengthy round of talks, spanning several weeks, which ultimately culminated in Ansu Fati taking his talents to the latter.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media this weekend is anything to go by, then the Monégasques may not be done there…
As per a report from MD, Monaco have already made one approach for Marc-André ter Stegen this summer.
As much was rebuffed by the German, who made clear his intention to stay put and fight for his place at the Camp Nou.
With Ter Stegen having now been informed by Hansi Flick that he will have little to no playing time this coming season, however, the French side are keeping a watchful eye on the situation.
This comes with a view, potentially, to a 2nd proposal for the experienced shot-stopper over the coming weeks.

Dwarfism organisation to take legal action against Lamine Yamal for 18th birthday celebrations
Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal is back in training with the rest of his teammates this week as the Catalan side begin preparations for the new season. The teenage superstar ended his summer in glamorous fashion with an exclusive 18th birthday party in Garraf, a coastal town close to the Catalan capital. While it is not unusual for the person in question to let loose on their 18th birthday party, Lamine Yamal is facing legal action for some of the 'entertainment' at the event. According to the Association of Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE), there were people with dwarfism hired to 'perform' at the party, and they have announced that they will be taking legal action against the Spain star. Image via ADEE Advertisement ADEE highlight impact of Lamine Yamal's actions The ADEE have announced that they will be taking legal action against the Barcelona forward, citing that hiring people with dwarfism is illegal in Spain. 'Shows or recreational activities in which people with disabilities or other circumstances are used to provoke mockery, ridicule, or derision from the public in a manner contrary to the respect due to human dignity are prohibited.' Image via El Correo Meanwhile President Carolina Puente went on to point out that the incident is far more serious, given the stature of Lamine Yamal. 'When a person with social influence participates in these types of situations, the damage is even greater, because it conveys to society – especially to young people – that discrimination is acceptable. We must eradicate the objectification of difference and educate people in respect and equity.' Lamine Yamal back in training after birthday party The event took place on Saturday night, with around 250 people attending, including teammates Gavi and Alejandro Balde. They were joined by influencers and celebrities in the music industry too, say Cadena SER, who also point out that while the majority of the Barcelona squad were present, they left early in order to be fresh for preseason tests the following day. Included in the list of celebrities were Bad Gyal, Lola Indigo, Duki, Quevedo, Chimbala, Morad and Red Bull F1 driver Charles Leclerc. Mobile phones were banned from the party, although images of Lamine Yamal singing with Chimbala did emerge. Barcelona are yet to comment on the incident.

Television viewership of Euros group-stage matches has nearly doubled from the 2022 iteration of the tournament, Fox announced Tuesday, with an average of 306,000 people tuning in to those 24 matches this summer, compared to an average of 161,000 three years ago. That game brought in 690,000 viewers, a 329 percent increase from the previous group stage. Advertisement More recently, 2023 World Cup champion Spain's 3-1 win over Italy on July 11 averaged 568,000 viewers, while an average of 486,000 tuned in for Sweden's 4-1 victory over Germany on July 12. Both matches featured the winning teams coming back from a goal down to claim three points. Lamine Yamal vs Ousmane Dembélé: Updated Ballon d'Or odds revealed
An updated round of odds for the next Ballon d'Or award have on Tuesday come to the fore online. And they will no doubt come as altogether concerning reading for those of a Barcelona persuasion. This comes amid confirmation that Lamine Yamal has fallen some way off frontrunner Ousmane Dembélé in the race for the prize. Advertisement Wide-man Lamine's name has been heavily pushed in the Ballon d'Or debate once more over the last couple of days. This comes after Paris Saint-Germain's heavy defeat in the final of the Club World Cup saw the Barca faithful kickstart a fresh campaign for their young attacker to beat out chief 'Golden Ball' competitor Ousmane Dembélé. As alluded to above, however, if the latest odds doing the rounds online are anything to go by, then Dembélé's CWC defeat does not appear to have negatively affected his candidacy at all. In fact, as revealed by Actu Foot, citing collective bookmaker odds, the France international is considered as being in with an 83% chance of lifting the Ballon d'Or this September. Advertisement The odds (non-cumulative) do place Lamine in the runners-up spot, but with just a 20% chance of being named world football's best player: Conor Laird – GSFN
