UN final report on Sudan does not make 'single finding against UAE', Gargash Says
Although one of the warring parties in Sudan, the SAF, has repeatedly made "baseless accusations" against UAE, a United Nations report "does not make a single finding" against the country, said Ambassador Mohamed Abushahab, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the UN.
A top diplomat affirmed that the report refutes "false accusations" made by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) against the UAE. Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, pointed out the SAF's "systematic disinformation campaign" against the UAE that aims to "evade responsibility" for their own actions.
He wrote, 'We call for an immediate, unconditional ceasefire, serious peace talks, unhindered humanitarian aid & independent civilian government.' The international community must help the Sudanese people gain peace and stability by "unify[ing] its efforts behind a credible political process that leads to a civilian-led government, independent from the military," Abushahab said.
Earlier, Sudan filed a case against the UAE at the International Court of Justice. The final report by the UN Panel of Experts on Sudan was released by the UN Security Council, and provides "no support for the SAF's unsubstantiated allegations," he said.
The report highlights widespread atrocities by both warring parties against the Sudanese people, which include attacks on civilians, sexual violence, and weaponisation of humanitarian aid, said the Permanent Representative of the UAE to the UN.
Accusations against UAE, and response
Sudan's case to the World Court alleged that UAE violated its obligations under the Genocide Convention by arming the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Government officials in the Emirates have called the case "a publicity stunt" and earlier, called for a dismissal of the application.
When the ICJ convened to hear a response to Sudan's application, UAE emphasised a lack of jurisdictional basis for the case.
The country also stressed that Sudan's accusations were "pure fabrication" and meant to 'distract attention from their own culpability.'

Yemen : Houthis say ready to swap all prisoners with govt
Yemen's Houthi group announced on Friday its readiness to exchange all prisoners with the Yemeni government, a significant proposal put forward by the group since the outbreak of the civil war in late 2014. The Houthi-run Saba news agency cited a statement by Abdul Qader al-Murtada, head of the Houthis' committee for prisoners' affairs, as saying that the group is prepared to carry out "a full exchange process that includes all prisoners from all parties without exception." Al-Murtada called on the Saudi government to pressure the Yemeni government "to respond to the initiative without preconditions." The internationally recognized Yemeni government is yet to comment. The Yemeni government and the Houthi group implemented a UN-mediated major prisoner swap in 2023, exchanging around 900 prisoners. Another major exchange took place in 2020, with approximately 1,000 prisoners and detainees released from both sides. Yemen has been mired in civil war since late 2014, when the Houthi group seized control of much of northern Yemen, forcing the Yemeni government out of the capital Sanaa. Clashes between the Houthis and the Yemeni government have diminished since April 2022, following a UN-mediated truce.

Al-Ahrar Al-Filastiniyya says Zionist enemy using art to starve innocent people to death, bomb homes, shelters
Gaza – Saba: Al-Ahrar Al-Filastiniyya Movement said on Saturday that the Zionist enemy is deliberately using its art to starve innocent people to death and bomb homes and shelters, with their residents inside, in full view of the Arab and Islamic world. The movement added in a statement, "In response to this, we do not see any Arab or Islamic condemnation or action. We are united with them by one Eid. How can the Arab and Islamic nations live while the Palestinian people are being slaughtered in cold blood with the weapons of hunger and genocide? How can they enjoy a holiday?" The movement pointed out that the Nazi Zionist enemy once again committed a horrific, bloody massacre during the blessed Eid al-Adha, targeting the home of the Abu Sharia family in Gaza, leaving more than 15 martyrs and many more wounded, some of whom remain under the rubble to this day. It condemned in the strongest terms the criminal Zionist enemy's perpetration of these massacres and slaughters against innocent civilians, children, and women, holding the US administration fully responsible for these crimes, as well as the Zionist Nazis for their unlimited support in terms of equipment, supplies, and international cover. The movement emphasized that the Nazi Zionist enemy and its fascist leaders are persistently targeting innocent Palestinian children and women, every time the resistance fighters make them taste the horrors of hell, open its gates upon them, and pelt them with the stones of David, destroying their pride, shattering their chariots, and humiliating their embattled army and leaders. The movement condemned the suspicious international silence regarding the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, which only whets the appetite of the Zionist enemy to continue its aggression and commit more war crimes, with the green light in its hand. The movement called on "international and UN organizations, and the unjust world that applies double standards, to assume their responsibilities, pressure the Zionist enemy to stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip, and work seriously to halt the crimes of genocide against the people of the Gaza Strip." Yemen:U.S. Embassy Condemns Continued Detention of Innocent Civilians by Houthis and Calls for Immediate Release
Aden- The U.S. Embassy to Yemen issued a strongly worded statement today, Friday, June 6, 2025, condemning the continued detention of innocent Yemeni civilians by the Houthi militia. Among those detained are employees of diplomatic missions, NGOs, and United Nations agencies—some of whom have been held since 2021. The embassy emphasized that these individuals have committed no crimes, noting that their work was focused on supporting their families and serving their communities. The statement described the detentions as a flagrant violation of human rights and international law. The embassy also pointed out that the Houthis are intimidating the families of detainees in an effort to silence them, preventing them from speaking publicly, sharing photos, or advocating for their loved ones. This campaign of fear effectively hides the plight of these innocent Yemenis from public view. The U.S. Embassy renewed its urgent call for the immediate and unconditional release of all detained civilians. It also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts to secure their freedom and ensure their safety and dignity. This condemnation follows recent reports by human rights organizations indicating that, since May 2024, the Houthi militia has arbitrarily arrested and forcibly disappeared dozens of UN and NGO workers without trial or disclosure of their whereabouts—acts that constitute grave breaches of international humanitarian law.
