The festivities to celebrate BTS' 12th debut anniversary began on May 31 and will go on till June 29.
BTS, the seven-membered K-pop powerhouse, is turning 12 on June 13, and fans worldwide are thrilled. This year's celebration is extra special because it is not just their 12th debut anniversary but also the moment that fans have been longing for nearly three years – BTS ' reunion after members' mandatory military service. To mark this significant milestone, BTS has planned a big two-day event in Goyang, South Korea.
The festivities to celebrate BTS' 12th debut anniversary began on May 31 and will go on till June 29. One of the biggest highlights of the event will be J-Hope and Jin's solo concerts. As reported by AllKpop on Wednesday, June 11, Goyang City announced that J-Hope is all set to perform the last two shows of his solo world tour at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on June 13 and 14.
The BTS rapper, singer and dancer embarked on his Hope on the Stage tour on February 28, 2025, in Seoul. After touring the United States, Mexico, the Phillippines, Japan, Indonesia, and others, J-Hope is bringing his tour back to South Korea one last time.
On the other hand, BTS' Jin will kick off his much-awaited solo tour, Run Seokjin EP, at the auxiliary stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex on June 28 and will also perform at the same stadium on June 29. He is set to take his tour to the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands before concluding it on August 10.
At the same time, Goyang City is also hosting the two-day offline event titled 2025 BTS FESTA at the KINTEX Exhibition Center II on June 13 and 14 to commemorate their 12th anniversary. It will be the first time that BTS will be celebrating their anniversary in Goyang. Like every time, this year's also carries a theme, and 2025's theme is Twelve O'Clock, inspired by BTS's heartfelt ballad 00:00 (Zero O'Clock)—a song about starting fresh.
Adding to the excitement, special photo zones based on this year's theme have been set throughout Goyang City. Fans can take pictures at the Ilsan Lake Park, the Goyang Tourist Information Center, the parking tower at the Ilsanseo-gu District Office, and plazas near KINTEX.
Speaking about the BTS FESTA celebration, Goyang City's mayor, Lee Dong Hwan, expressed his gratitude, saying, 'We sincerely thank BTS, Korea's representative artists, for choosing Goyang. We warmly welcome ARMY fans from around the world to our city." To support such a large-scale event, Goyang City has launched a responsive plan, including traffic and safety measures around the venue, transportation facilities for foreigners and an on-site administrative team.

With BTS gearing up for their long-awaited comeback, the excitement around the group is at an all-time high. And leading the charge on press duties is none other than Jin. Glowing with confidence, Jin recently appeared on BuzzFeed's The Puppy Interview, charming fans as he answered questions while being swarmed by a group of playful pups. In the episode, the BTS vocalist opened up about his solo career, musical inspirations, and hopes for future projects. When asked about a dream collaboration, Jin didn't hesitate. 'I've only met him in passing, but I'd love to collab with Bruno Mars one day. It'd be a lot of fun, I'm a huge fan of him,' he shared. Reflecting on his trainee days, Jin added, 'I often practised my vocals by singing Just The Way You Are before debut, it's one of my favourite songs.' Jin's heartfelt admiration for Mars quickly had fans buzzing, with many hoping this wishful team-up becomes reality in the group's new chapter. After nearly two years of individual military service, the band is reuniting. RM (Kim Namjoon) and V (Kim Taehyung) were discharged earlier this week and made their first public appearance post-service. Shortly after, Billboard Korea confirmed that Jimin (Park Jimin) and Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) have also completed their mandatory service, marking a major moment for ARMYs worldwide. With Jin leading the conversation, fresh music in the pipeline, and all seven members finally back, BTS' new era is already off to a heart-thumping start.

BTS' RM writes anniversary letter to ARMY, shares ‘strange' feelings: ‘I want to walk romantically with you all'

BTS' RM, recently discharged from his mandatory military service, has been gushing about being back to his normal life, the work he loves, and his fans, who stood as his constant pillar through these 18 long months. Kim Namjoon and Kim Taehyung officially completed their service on June 10. Soon after, the duo went live on Weverse, opening up about their military days. But RM left fans a bit worried when he admitted being diagnosed with insomnia and had to rely on pills. Now, ahead of BTS' 12th debut anniversary, RM once again returned to Weverse, penning what he called his 'bizarre/strange' feelings but ended up leaving fans in tears with the raw emotion. In his post, the Indigo hitmaker reflected on how surreal it felt to see June 13 arrive again, admitting last year's anniversary was particularly hard. He confessed that he had been waiting for this moment even more than the fans themselves, repeating how much he waited, waited, and waited for this day to finally come. Also read: BTS' RM says mental health worsened amid HYBE issues, had to rely on pills: 'I cried all night, kept saying I was going to die' 'Hello everyone, Happy Birthday, BTS,' RM wrote, before humorously comparing the group's age to a niece from a multiverse who has grown up well. 'Last year's 06/13 was really tough… but now, June 13th, 2025 is truly here. 12th anniversary… twelve years old! It's like you're the nephews/nieces of my multiverse. I'm glad you've grown up so well.' He mentioned spending the day with his family since it also happened to be his younger sibling's birthday. 'And before showering, I broke the tip of my pencil pressing too hard, writing down these strange/bizarre thoughts. Honestly, I never thought this day would come.' As he dug deeper into his feelings, RM opened up about the weight he carries with every BTS release, every album, every comeback, every public appearance. 'How dare I create like that and confidently hand out my business/name card? They say this is love.' He spoke about reading a book titled The Precision of Love, which made him think about what it means to love someone exactly and to be loved back with the same precision. 'I think I've lived my life trying to interpret and meet your love, to receive it as precisely as I can. I'll try to go somewhere again — somewhere unknown to me. Although I still don't know well how many people, of what kind and where, are by my side now, I want to walk romantically with you all. Will you come with me?' he wrote. Also read: BTS' V says he can't tolerate 'person with childish behaviour' now: What Taehyung's changed personality after military discharge reveals His message grew even more emotional as he talked about wanting to continue walking this unpredictable road together with ARMY, no matter how tiring, confusing, or uncertain it gets. 'All through days of fatigue and sleepless nights, through incomprehensible people and thoughts that cling like tails — I'll push through all those obstacles once more.' He also poked fun at himself for not being able to keep his message short, saying that maybe he's still too young and clumsy when it comes to expressing his feelings. The BTS leader ended by promising that BTS will do even better this time, thanking the fans once again, and signing out as Free Citizen Namjoon. 🌟 WEVERSE RM post: Hello everyone, Happy Birthday, BTS. So 06/13 has come again. It's 06/13 once again Last year's 06/13 was really tough… But now, June 13th 2025 is truly here. Honestly, I waited for this even more than all of you.
