Princess Andre distances herself from famous parents as she slams 'nepo baby' label
Princess Andre has hit out at claims that she and her brother Junior are 'nepo babies' ahead of her new ITV2 reality show The Princess Diaries. The 18-year-old stars in her own ITV reality series, which follows her and her family as they navigate fame.
Now, the TV personality has addressed claims that she and Junior are "nepo babies", stating that they're "focusing on themselves" with the Princess Diaries. When asked how it feels to be called a nepo baby, Princess told The News Movement: "Obviously, if you're using the actual terms of a nepo baby then yeah but we are focusing on ourselves and this is our own career.
"I feel like within the last few years, I've built myself as a solo person so this is a good time for the show to come in because it shows what goes on in my life without my parents." It comes after Katie Price reaches out to Harvey's lookalike half-brother but fears 'he's too scared'.
Junior, 20, added: "Obviously we're going to be compared to our parents, they've done amazing things, that's where we've come from, it's inevitable. That's natural. What we're doing is focusing on ourselves and really driving and pushing our own careers and working hard. For us to succeed, we have to put in the work for it."
Earlier today, the siblings stopped by ITV's This Morning to chat about the show, which starts on Sunday. Opening up about her parents, Princess said that she is totally "independent" from dad Peter and mum Katie.
"I got older and a lot more things have come in for me solo," she said. "A lot of things I used to do was with my parents and now I'm doing a show that is independent and actually focused on me. Now is the right time because my life is busy right now and I want people to see it."
Earlier this week, Katie admitted that she was "very, very upset" by Princess' career being managed by ex-husband Peter's management and said that she will not be watching the reality show. Princess is managed by The CAN Group, who manages Peter and used to manage Katie.
"I've always said, over my dead body would I ever want her to manage my kids because she doesn't like me and Pete and me don't talk. I am very, very, very upset that Princess has signed with them when she was 16. I wasn't asked to look at any contracts so I don't know what Princess has signed because it's all to do with that side," she said.
Katie went onto claim that she has "not been allowed" to go on any of Princess' photoshoots. "Why? Because I'm not allowed and I'm welcome," she said on her podcast this week.
Earlier today, CAN Group responded to Katie's claims, telling The Mirror that "duty of care" to their clients is paramount. They added: "We would never advise a client on their personal life unless asked and we have never stopped anyone seeing their families."

But Katie has now insisted that she's a "bloody good mum" to her five children and wants to sit down with Pete to discuss their issues once and for all. The TV personality said on the latest episode of her Katie Price Show podcast: "There's no reason why both parents just can't be there to support her. Now this isn't about me. I have to clarify this. "I don't care that I'm not in Princess's show. "I don't need to raise my profile by being on Princess's show, I do enough stuff. "All what I want to do, is just whatever my daughter does, and it's the same with Junior, I don't care if I'm in the background, but I want to watch her do her photo shoots, I wanna watch her do her signings, because that's what I did. "And my mom and you and Nan used to come along and support, and I'm proud of her. "And I just wanna be there with her because I now I feel that I've missed out on so much." Katie said she believes that she and Pete needs to come to hash things out to make life easier for their two kids - Princess and Junior, 20. "It's so not fair to bring princess piggy in the middle. So I think it's about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it," Katie said. Princess Andre snubs mum Katie Price from intimate dinner as she reveals her birthday party guestlist "Life would be more at peace because I don't have a problem. "I just think life would be a better place. "Well, I'm not saying we all have to be best buddies, best friends, but come on. "For the sake of the children, there's room for everyone to support your kids. "Do you know what I mean? I'm not saying I have to stand with them and play happy families." Katie's suggestion of a meet-up comes after the star admitted she's feeling left out of certain parts of her children's life. She continued: "Like, I've missed out so much with Princess. "I haven't watched the show, but, people have told me how proud I should be of the kids and how they Princess does talk highly of me all the way through it so although I'm not in the show she speaks about me all the time which is really sweet but why wouldn't she because she lives with me and this is another thing I need to clear up, the kids have never lived just with Pete, we've shared the kids. "I am a bloody good mum. People can even see that with Harvey. "Like, I am a good mum and it's so much easier, I have found out, when you have a child on your own without the other half involved because I've never had a problem with Harvey. "It's just been me, the family, and Harvey. And I hate it that when people split up, it always gets messy and the kids shouldn't be used." Katie concluded: "But I am absolutely proud of of Princess. Me and Princess are so, so close. "We've never ever ever had an argument till this day, and we still text and ring each other every day." It was previously reported that there was a big fall out after Katie wasn't allowed to go to Princess' 18th birthday party, hosted by her ex, and her daughter's dad, Peter. In part one of the fourth episode of The Princess Diaries, Princess was asked by her famous father who she wanted at her party - and it appeared to not include Katie. Princess turned 18 back in June, and at the time Katie claimed she wasn't invited because she had been banned from appearing in The Princess Diaries. Speaking on her The Katie Price Show podcast at the time, she said: "Everyone knows she's doing this documentary - and I'm not in it. "Certain people don't think it's good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me." Her sister Sophie chipped in: "You aren't on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that's why." Katie then said: "It's pathetic. I'm her mother. "I'm just saying, Princess was like 'I'm having a party'. And I wasn't invited because it was for 'filming.'" Sophie added: "Oh of course it was! I wonder what restaurant did that for free." Continuing the rant, Katie said: "The fact is there's stuff my daughter is doing and I'm not allowed to be seen at any of it." The Sun revealed how the documentary has caused a huge rift between Princess and her famous mum. Katie previously vented about those working with her daughter after The Sun revealed her secret heartache about being cut out of her TV show. She even vowed not to watch her daughter's reality show, after feeling left out of such an important thing in Princess' life. Earlier this week, Katie shared a cryptic message saying "your mum is not your enemy". Sharing a quote on her Instagram stories, Katie urged that as a mum she is "not trying to control" but instead "trying to protect" The quote also acknowledged how she "may not be perfect" but is "the only woman in this world" who wants the best for her children.

However, the former pin-up has revealed she almost went under the knife for the WRONG operation. Speaking on today's episode of The Katie Price Show, entitled Face Off, she revealed: "Oh my god. Do you know what is funny, though. "Before I went down and the doctors come and see you. "And They thought I wanted a back lift!" Explaining what it is, Katie said: "Do you know when you twist the neck, people have got love handles and whatever on your back? I mean, I don't have love handles. "So, basically, imagine if you grab your skin, they basically pull your skin up, so it would lift your bum up, all of that, take all your skin, and you just get a cut right across your back. Explaining what she said to the surgeons after they said they were going to perform a "back lift" on her, Katie said: "And I went, 'no'. "'No. I don't want a back lift!' I said, 'lucky you said that!'" Katie has been keeping fans up-to-date with her recent surgery and her recovery. Princess Andre snubs mum Katie Price from intimate dinner as she reveals her birthday party guestlist Yesterday, she posted a snap where she was seen posing in a pair of huge sunglasses while her trademark plumped pout looked painfully tight. The mum-of-five captioned her post: 'I can't smile.' Katie previously shared a first-look at her face after the surgery, posing with bandages around her ears and tape by her eyes and nose. Meanwhile, Katie's recovery is no doubt a distraction from rumours of a rift between her and daughter Princess Andre. 4 It comes after she and daughter Princess were caught up in rumours of a rift Credit: Getty Katie, who shares her daughter and son Junior, 20, with ex-husband Peter Andre, has claimed she was banned from seeing her daughter as she shot scenes for her reality show The Princess Diaries. Both of them were in Ibiza at the time and Katie told how, when she attempted to meet up with Princess in a bar, she was blocked by members of the crew. Ahead of the show's debut, Katie shared her frustrations at 'not being allowed to go near' the documentary, with Princess moving in with her dad, Peter Andre, while she shot it. Show bosses reportedly told Katie she could not be a part of the series, with a source telling The Sun that Katie felt "isolated and disregarded". "She loves Princess so much and is supremely proud of the young woman she is becoming," they said. "Princess told her mum that she needed to distance herself publicly and yet chats to her all the time behind closed doors. "She feels a bit like Brooklyn Beckham, with no one in the Andre family really speaking to her.'
