SIR JIMMY ANDERSON UNVEILS DP WORLD'S SUPPORT FOR GRASSROOTS AT HOME OF CRICKET
LONDON, June 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — DP World, the international logistics business, today brought its Beyond Boundaries Initiative to Lord's cricket ground with the help of England legend Sir James Anderson.

The delivery of 250 cricket kits in a repurposed shipping container comes ahead of this week's ICC World Test Championship Final, of which DP World is the Global Logistics Partner. The kits – each including a bat, pads, gloves, and helmet – will be distributed to schools across Britain in partnership with the MCC Foundation.
'It's great to see the support of an ICC partner extending to the grassroots game around the world and now arriving in the UK ahead of this week's final,' commented Sir James Anderson. 'Opportunity and access are everything in growing cricket here, so DP World's provision of kits to the school system is a huge moment.'
The initiative will continue to be bolstered by a kits-for-runs scheme during the test match between South Africa and Australia, just as has been active at all ICC pinnacle tournaments since the initiative's launch.

The Beyond Boundaries Initiative has already impacted lives in New York, Namibia and beyond – and now it's making a difference at the heart of cricket tradition.'

To date, the Beyond Boundaries Initiative has delivered 12 repurposed shipping containers, distributed 3,000 cricket kits, activated programs in 8 countries across 4 continents, and empowered over 15,000 young people to play cricket.

Bavuma, whose innings included the first six of the match, had survived an lbw decision earlier when he was on 17 and trapped by Josh Hazlewood. He took his time before deciding to review the umpire's decision, suggesting he did not hold out much hope of having it overturned, but the snickometer showed he had got bat to ball. Bedingham was 39 not out, after hitting two boundaries in the last over before lunch, along with Kyle Verreynne on 11. Verreynne had earlier nicked a Beau Webster delivery but it fell short of the slip cordon. South Africa's batting had none of the nervous defensiveness they showed at the start of their innings on Wednesday but runs still came slowly as they moved into three figures in the 45th over. Australia had South Africa reeling at 43-4 at the close on Wednesday after being put in to bat first and scoring 212. Smith marked his first outing since March with 66 runs and felt Australia were in the driving seat after the opening day. Yet they were now looking to capitalise on their advantage. 'I think the bounce is going to be variable throughout the game, as we've seen already on day one, so hopefully we can get a few early wickets in the morning and sort of go through them and have a bit of a lead. That's the ideal scenario for us right now." Australia are 169 runs ahead after a day in which 14 wickets fell. 'I think we're in a good spot. We've probably had a few missed opportunities with the bat to try and get a bigger total, but I think the wicket offered something all day. 'We could have had a better day, but we're still in a nice position,' he said after stumps on Wednesday. Smith, a prolific run scorer at Lord's, was returning after a lengthy holiday in which he said he hardly picked up a bat. 'I felt good, felt in a nice place. I love batting here at Lord's and enjoyed my time while I was out there but left a few in the shed, unfortunately.
