Sarah Ferguson says she is 'sure' the late Queen Elizabeth is talking to her through her corgis
The Duchess of York has said she is "sure" the late Queen Elizabeth II speaks to her through her corgis.
Sarah Ferguson and her ex-husband Prince Andrew inherited the Queen's corgis, Muick and Sandy, after she died in 2022.
Now, Ferguson has said her former mother-in-law is communicating to her through her beloved pets.
Speaking at the Creative Women Platform Forum she said: "I have her [Queen Elizabeth's] dogs, I have her corgis so every morning they come in and go 'woof woof' and I'm sure its her talking to me."
She has previously said what an honour it was to have been given the dogs.
The Duchess went on to say: "I had the greatest honour to be her daughter-in-law. That's pretty huge."
"When I was driving here I saw the Elizabeth Line, and I said 'I want everyone to remember what an amazing lady she was."
The Queen was known for her love of dogs, having owned more than 30 corgis in her lifetime.
Many of her dogs are descended from her first corgi, Susan which she received for her 18th birthday present and even joined her on her Honeymoon in 1947.
Willow was among the most familiar corgis of the final years of the Queen's reign.
The 14th-generation Royal Corgi starred in a London 2012 Olympic sketch with the Queen, alongside Daniel Craig as James Bond.
The Queen named one of the puppies - Fergus the daschund-corgi mix - after her uncle, who was killed in action during the First World War.
She named the other corgi Muick (pronounced Mick) after Loch Muick on the Balmoral estate.
But the monarch was devastated when five-month-old Fergus died just weeks after he was gifted to her, in the aftermath of Philip's death.
He was later replaced with a new corgi puppy named Sandy, from Andrew's daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, for the Queen's 95th birthday.
The Duchess of York, along with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, lives in the Royal Lodge in Windsor with her seven dogs.
