Watch as Senior Writer Ed Easton Jr. spoke to actress, singer-songwriter, and producer Roselyn Sanchez at a women's empowerment brunch in Kansas City that Donna Kelce hosted in partnership with GSK's THRIVE@50+ campaign.
Sanchez shared her thoughts about the event and the joy she feels seeing Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco's ongoing display of pride in his Puerto Rican heritage. Pacheco's helmet, which features the island's flag, is displayed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The accomplished actor, director, and entrepreneur was joined by Brooke Shields, Gina Torres, Susan Noles, and more at the event before Kansas City's divisional-round playoff victory over the Houston Texans.

During the offseason, Pro Football Focus dropped its center rankings, listing Chiefs star Creed Humphrey as the No. 1 center in the NFL. But it's three familiar faces that show up on SI's "defensive triplets" rankings, where the Chiefs' trio of Chris Jones, Nick Bolton and Trent McDuffie show up at No. 6, inside the top 10 but not in the first five, which is curious. 6. Kansas City Chiefs Triplets: Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Trent McDuffie "Jones again played like the best defensive tackle in the NFL. His elite performances helped the Chiefs make the Super Bowl for the third consecutive season. McDuffie had no trouble playing on the outside full-time, and Bolton's consistency was rewarded with a three-year, $45 million extension." Advertisement Jones, the six-time Pro Bowler, posted 37 tackles with 19 solo and nine for loss with five sacks, a forced fumble and 20 QB hits. That's his lowest sack total since he registered two in his rookie year in 2016. In his fourth season last year, Bolton amassed 106 total tackles with 73 solo and 11 for loss. He added a career-high three sacks, an interception, six passes defended and two fumble recoveries with one forced fumble. McDuffie posted 59 total tackles with 45 solo and six for loss with half a sack and four QB hits across 16 games. He added a pair of interceptions, 13 passes defended and a forced fumble. If the Chiefs are going to bounce back from a disappointing end to the 2024 campaign, then it will be partly due to the play of their "defensive triplets." Super Bowl LIX showed the Kansas City Chiefs needed major improvements to their receiving room. Days away from the team's start at mandatory minicamp and offseason activities shifting into another gear, the team has mostly opted for development in-house. Advertisement There's some level of risk there though the top two pieces in Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy have proven a great deal early in their careers. The Chiefs will count on their growth while veteran Hollywood Brown presumably slides into the No. 3 spot after an injury-riddled debut campaign with the team last season. Factor in the return of JuJu Smith-Schuster to the lineup and the addition of rookie Jalen Royals and suddenly the receivers room looks pretty crowded. Considering the bigger picture of pass catchers in this offense, future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce cannot be forgotten either. Unfortunately, that brings the future of fourth-year Skyy Moore into question. Moore did not post more than 250 yards in his first two seasons with the team and missed the majority of 2024 due to injury. He did not register a catch in the six games he played. While the Chiefs appreciate the tools Moore brings to the table it would appear he faces an uphill battle to make the team outright per Charles Goldman of A-to-Z Sports. Advertisement 'The coaching staff has shown that they like Skyy Moore's ability to plug in at every wide receiver position,' Goldman said. 'He'll get opportunities during offseason workouts and training camp, but make no mistake that he's on a short leash.' He also noted that another injury could be a serious detriment for his roster chances. The Chiefs are far away from making these final decisions, so Moore has time to make ground and maybe change some minds on the coaching staff.
