The Sunflower Summer program, designed specifically for Kansas students and their families, provides free admission to over 230 attractions. The season begins on Saturday, July 12, and ends on Sunday, Aug. 3.

'Sunflower Summer is more than just a fun family outing – it's an investment in our future,' Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said.
'By giving Kansas students the opportunity to experience the rich history, culture and natural beauty of our state, we're helping the next generation fall in love with Kansas. At the same time, this program drives real economic impact to our communities by supporting local attractions and generating increased visitor spending.'
All Kansas school-aged children, from pre-K through 12th grade, including students in public, private, or homeschooling programs, are eligible for the Sunflower Summer program. The program covers admission costs for eligible students and one adult guardian per attraction.

HBO's upcoming "Harry Potter" television series has found the actors to play most of the Weasley siblings. Production began recently on the TV series, which is based on J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" books, expected to hit the network in 2027 with new seasons releasing through 2037. Back in May, HBO revealed Dominic McLaughlin would play Harry Potter, with Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout taking the roles of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The network on Tuesday, Aug. 19, revealed the actors chosen to play most of Ron's siblings by posting photos on social media: Tristan Harland and Gabriel Harland, twins who have both appeared in Netflix series "The Last Kingdom," will play Fred and George Weasley. Ruari Spooner, cast as Percy Weasley, recently appeared in the short film "Syncopation," according to Gracie Cochrane, who will play Ginny Weasley, had a small part in the Apple TV+ film "Blitz." Still to be cast: older brother Charlie Weasley, a dragon expert who appears in the books but is only mentioned in the films, according to the Harry Potter Fandom site. The actor with that part will apparently be revealed soon, as the HBO Instagram post notes, "Charlie's in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough..."
