Ghost Adventures star makes dramatic revelation as wife is sentenced for sick murder plot: 'Only half the story'
On Thursday, a Nevada judge sentenced 32-year-old Victoria Goodwin to between three and seven and a half years in prison after she pleaded guilty to conspiring to have her husband killed while he was away on a filming trip in California.
Victoria hatched the plan after the couple began suffering marital problems and she started sleeping with other people.
Following the court proceedings, the 49-year-old reality star spoke out in an exclusive interview with 8 News Now investigators, revealing that the public only knows a fraction of the story.
'I feel terrible. All of this is such a mess,' Aaron told the outlet after court.
'I haven't seen her since she dropped me off at the airport,' he added. 'So that was the first time I've even looked at her. It's tough.'
'But that's just half the story. Wait till you hear the rest of it.'
The television star did not immediately respond to Daily Mail for comment.

Aaron's dramatic revelation came moments after he broke down in court, tearfully recounting the heartbreak of discovering the 'love of his life' had not only betrayed him with several affairs, but conspired with a prisoner to have him killed.
Court documents revealed that Victoria contacted Florida inmate Grant Amato - who is serving a life sentence for murdering his parents and brother - and offered him $11,500 to carry out the hit, with a $2,500 down payment already made.
'For seven years I thought I was in the most loving relationship of marriage with my best friend, someone who I trusted with my whole heart and laughed with every day,' Aaron said in the courtroom.
Victoria, on the other hand, delivered an emotional apology in court to both to her parents and estranged husband, telling him she would 'always love him' and vowing he would 'never be in danger of her again'.
'I genuinely pray you find your joy and peace again. And I will bow out of your life forever to hopefully ease that process,' Victoria said before the judge handed down her sentence, as reported by 8 News Now.
'I'm sorry I broke us, and I'm consumed with regret every day,' she added. 'My absolute promise to you is that you will never see or hear from me.'
'I intend to leave the state of Nevada, and you and anyone else will never be in danger of me ever again.'
The murder plot was set to unfold in October of 2024, while Aaron was in California filming Ghost Adventures, a paranormal reality series that follows him and three other investigators as they explore reportedly haunted locations across the country.
Her devious plan unraveled only after prison authorities seized inmate Amato's phone and discovered disturbing communications between him and Victoria.

Investigators revealed that she instructed him to make Aaron's death appear accidental, even providing detailed information about his travel plans and daily routines.
Prosecutors cited chilling messages recovered from Amato's phone, in which one message from Amato to a hitman read: 'He's asleep right now in the hotel room… I need to know what's going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?'
In another message, Victoria wrote to Amato: 'Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.'
When questioned by authorities, Victoria claimed she first learned about Amato through a true crime documentary and began corresponding with him.
She described their relationship as 'pen pals' and admitted that ongoing marital problems with had led her to 'connect' with him.

On March 6, Victoria was arrested in connection with solicitation to commit murder and murder conspiracy, according to booking information in Clark County.
Following her arrest, Aaron filed for divorce.
Victoria eventually pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.
In a statement on March 12, the Discovery Channel star said: 'The views, tastes, likes, and dislikes of Husband and Wife have become incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony.'
'There is no possibility of reconciliation between Husband and Wife,' it concluded.
On Thursday, Aaron broke down in tears at his wife's sentencing.
Failing to hold back tears, he said that after he found out his then-wife was 'cheating on him with several men', he gave her options for a path forward.
One option was divorce and another was 'trying to work things out', because he just 'loves her so much', Aaron said.
The TV star recounted how Victoria initially expressed regret and begged not to lose him.
'She didn't want to lose me,' he recalled. 'She was so sorry for the pain she caused me. At least that's what she told me.'
'Now discovering she put a hit out to kill me more than once, got blackmailed, and spent almost our entire savings to keep it quiet,' he added, speaking of the extent of her betrayal.
He also told the court that Victoria had even 'got spiritually married' to Amato.
In his emotional statement, Aaron said the experience has left him deeply scarred.
'This has led me to fear for my life. I've hired armed security for weeks, not knowing if it was over or not,' he said.
'I cry every day, I feel so low. She grew me into a person I never was. I will always wonder why.'
Aaron accused his ex-wife of attempting to keep him from speaking at the sentencing, claiming he had only recently become aware of the murder plot.
'Now, behind bars, she's trying to manipulate through lawyers and trying to silence me to not come here today,' he said.
He then addressed the judge directly, indicating that a prison sentence felt appropriate given the gravity of what happened.
'This person over here, I don't know at all. Not one bit,' Aaron said, as reported by US Weekly.
'The fact that this person did all this to me with no worry, no care or love in her heart for me, I will never feel the same. I will never feel safe or be the same,' he added, noting how she is claiming to be remorseful now that she's been caught.
'I thought whether she got minimum or maximum time, I still won't feel safe whenever she's released,' he told the judge.
'I feel like this deserves prison time. I don't know. So, I just leave it in your hands, Your Honor, and thank you.'
According to divorce documents obtained by Court TV, Aaron and Victoria married in May 2020. They do not share any children.

It's my idea of heaven. I don't even feel guilty about going solo – I will tie it in with seeing my sister Tara, 54, a retail worker, who lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, about a three-hour drive from Disney World, though I hope no one asks whether I'm more excited about seeing Disney or her. I've been obsessed with Disney ever since I can remember. My first visit was back in 1995 at the age of 11 with my family. I can still remember the excitement of my mum telling me we were going. I've been regularly ever since. In my 20s I went at any excuse – the end of a brief relationship was a favourite one or if a friend hadn't been I'd suggest saving up. And 'seeing my sister' was always an excuse to cross the Atlantic. There's no feeling on earth like being there. When I get home I always have the 'Disney blues' people liken it to the emotions some brides get once their wedding is over – you feel very flat. I'm far from alone when it comes to loving Disney. It's estimated that between 40 and 50 per cent of visitors to Disney on any given day are adults without children. A huge 91 per cent expected to remain a "Disney adult" for the rest of their lives To me, it's the happiest place on earth, but experiencing that joy comes at a price, and it's not cheap. You can easily spend £10,000 just on flights, accommodation and passes for a family of five like mine, and then another £5,000 on food and tips and merchandise once you're there, if you're not careful. Davin works as an electrical engineer and I'm a content creator so we're by no means wealthy. I always shop around for bargains and use cashback sites and any vouchers I can find to pay for everything - from our supermarket shop to B&Q supplies, and I even use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to get money off Eurostar tickets. I buy clothes on Vinted and rarely go out – if I do, it will be to a friend's house rather than going out on the town. We watch every penny we spend. The children don't have birthday parties – we have cake at home or maybe take a couple of friends bowling, which costs around £30. And we rarely get take-out food, they have a McDonalds once a month at the most. I try and set aside £600 each month in a separate Disney account, but sometimes it's less. The minimum I'll save each month is £100. I keep selling things on Vinted, everything from unwanted gifts to toys that the kids have grown out of. And I will always ask for money rather than gifts if I'm given it as an option! It's surprising how it can add up. Thankfully, I've got visiting cheaply down to a fine art. On this most recent trip to Paris in May, I didn't have the kids, so I wasn't tied to going in term time. TEARS OF HAPPINESS I managed to do it for £500 for three days, including tickets, accommodation, petrol and the ferry and all my food, though that was mostly pot noodles. And on other solo trips to Florida I could go last minute if there was a deal on flights – often it is cheaper to fly to Miami and then drive. And I didn't mind where I slept, so I rented a grim motel room by the hour nearby as I barely spent any time there and would buy food from Walmart, which is the equivalent of Asda. I'd be at the park as the ropes went up and be the last to leave – I didn't care about anything other than the Disney experience. Now we've got three children we can't go to the US as often. We took Autumn when she was one but then had a gap, where I went alone while visiting my sister who still lives in West Palm Beach. But last year in January I took Autumn for the first time to Paris as a mum and daughter experience. She burst into tears of happiness when she saw it – it was a huge success. So in October 2024 we went as a family taking the kids with us too. That first trip we did our meals there. One breakfast alone cost 40 euros each, for us it was a waste of money. There's an amazing spread for breakfast, but our kids only eat a croissant. 7 7 And I knew to take merchandise like ears and costumes, which I buy online, so we didn't need to buy it for inflated prices once we arrived. We've since been again in April this year, then I went with a friend in May, and we're booked for Christmas too. And when we're there, we're careful too. We stay in AirBnbs near the park, we buy all of our own food – and nothing fancy. If the kids live on croissants and pot noodles for a few days it won't kill them. We drive and take the channel tunnel – it's the cheapest way for us to do it and more convenient. Depending on how often you go it might be worth buying an annual pass. We are planning on buying them – they start at £193.41 for the children and include free parking and free entry at certain times of the year. GOLD PASS We're going to buy the gold pass, it's all year round and gives us exclusive early access, fast passes, free parking and discounts. It's a big outlay, £452 per child, but we get a 25 per cent disability discount for each child as they are all autistic so it will be £339. And we can spread the cost over the year with interest free monthly instalments. Look at Facebook groups such as Disneyland Paris planning tips and tricks for ideas - they often have information about special one-off deals. Going to Disney is all about that escapism back to your childhood, where life isn't a round of bills and worries. Other people escape with wine or drugs, Disney is my treat and I'm not hurting anyone, though people try to shame adult Disney fans. I get comments on my social media reels saying things like 'yet another Disney adult' or that I should 'sort myself up' and grow up'. But I don't care. But my kids absolutely love it, and I'm so glad – it's a truly magical and happy place. To anyone who worries their partner may not enjoy Disney, I'd urge them to surprise them with a trip. It's what I did. When I met Davin in December 2008, I warned him I was a Disney fanatic early on – he told me he had no interest. But 18 months after we started going out, in June 2010, we went to New York. And then I surprised him with a four-day trip to Disney, while we were there. Thankfully he loved it and got as swept up in the magic as me. We got married a year later and had our three-week honeymoon there. We laugh about the saying 'happy wife, happy life'. Fortunately Davin believes in it and as long as I've got a trip to Disney planned I'm definitely a happy wife. 7 7

Outback Wrangler star asked paralysed pilot in hospital to change flight records and erase items on phone, court hears
Reality TV star Matt Wright visited a pilot while he was heavily sedated in hospital following a deadly helicopter crash and asked him to manipulate flying hour records, a court has been told. Outback Wrangler co-star Chris 'Willow' died in the February 2022 accident, falling to the ground from a sling beneath the chopper while collecting crocodile eggs in remote swampland in the Northern Territory. The aircraft then crashed, seriously injuring the pilot Sebastian Robinson. Now a paraplegic, Robinson gave evidence at the supreme court in Darwin by video link from his wheelchair on Wednesday. Wright has pleaded not guilty to three charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice. Prosecutors allege he was worried crash investigators would discover that flight-time meters were disconnected regularly to extend flying hours beyond official thresholds and that paperwork was falsified. Robinson told the court Wright visited him in Royal Brisbane hospital 10 days after the crash when he was still in very bad shape, heavily sedated with 'tubes coming out of me everywhere'. The crown prosecutor Jason Gullaci SC asked the 32-year-old what Wright had asked of him at his hospital bedside and he replied 'to manipulate hours on my aircraft'. 'He asked if I would consider putting any of his hours, from his helicopter, onto my helicopter.' The court was told Robinson was being asked to put egg-collecting hours flown on Wright's crashed helicopter onto his own helicopter, which was not fitted with equipment for egg collecting. Robinson said he told Wright he would think about his request and when he made a return visit the next day told him 'I didn't feel comfortable doing it'. Wright had also asked to go through his phone and 'delete a few things', Robinson said. At the time he was 'scared and panicked' and didn't know who to trust, he said. The crash and his life-changing injuries had been 'the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with in my life'. The court was told Robinson was asked to fly egg-collecting missions in Arnhem Land, where Covid restrictions were in place, because Wright was an anti-vaxxer so could not enter the Indigenous territory unvaccinated. Jurors heard that Wright visited Robinson in hospital despite requirements to show a Covid vaccination certificate and having to complete a test for the virus. The charges against Wright do not relate to the cause of the accident and the prosecution does not allege he is responsible for either the crash, Wilson's death or Robinson's injuries. The trial continues.
