Converse Taps New Era for a Collaborative Weapon Suede OX NE Sneaker
Following itsnew collaboration with Kiko Kostadinov,New Era®is continuing its collaborative streak withConverse. Starring theWeaponSuede OX NE silhouette, the sneaker centers on a navy and white color combo — a refined take on a classic basketball silhouette, it amalgamates heritage design cues with contemporary streetwear sensibilities.
Crafted from premium navy blue suede, the upper draws inspiration from New Era's iconic59FIFTYbaseball caps, lending the shoe a tactile richness and visual depth. The low-cut profile enhances mobility and everyday wearability, while the off-white vintage-style outsole provides reliable traction and a nostalgic contrast to the deep navy tones. Co-branded elements on the tongue and insole reinforce the collaboration's dual legacy in sport and style.
The sneaker retains the structural integrity of the original 1986 Converse Weapon, known for its court-ready support and stability, now reimagined for lifestyle use. An embroidered New Era flag logo on the left heel adds a subtle nod to headwear culture, while the clean navy and white colorway ensures versatility across casual and elevated looks.

Harlem mansion on idyllic block featured in ‘The Royal Tenenbaums' hits the market for $5.5M
It's a five-story, $5.5 million townhouse fit for a Wes Anderson film. A 25-foot-wide mansion on coveted Convent Avenue in Hamilton Heights has been listed for sale — and it's just across the street from the beloved brownstone that appeared in Anderson's 2001 twee tragicomedy 'The Royal Tenenbaums.' Thanks to its largely cohesive appearance and historic architecture, Convent Avenue, located between West 143rd and 144th Streets is regarded as one of the most beautiful streets in Manhattan. Its gated garden leads into a marble entry foyer with detailed moldings and light wood paneling. Advertisement Many of the home's original details, including pocket doors between rooms and stained glass windows, have been well-maintained throughout the decades. The property last changed hands for $2.2 million in 2006, according to city records. Douglas Elliman agents Jessica Chestler and Ben Jacobs currently hold the uptown listing. 10 The marble-tiled foyer. Bright living spaces span the home's five floors, including a golden yellow great room and a floral, 20-seat dining room. Several of the public rooms boast bespoke fireplaces, including Victorian-era and antique French caved mantels. Its eat-in kitchen features granite countertops and upgraded appliances. Upper floors, accessed by a skylit staircase, include seven bedrooms, as well as a lacquer-red library with custom bookshelves and a period fireplace. The property also comes with the potential for some passive income, with a privately accessed studio apartment on the premises.

Nike Sues Edison Chen For $126 Million USD
CLOTfounderEdison Chenis being sued by former partnerNikefor breach of contract, demanding a sum of more than $126 million USD. Multiple sources, including@SneakerLegalhave shared the information, including the case number (2:25-cv-07447), cause (28:1332 Diversity-Breach of Contract), and the demand of $126,615,000. Other than these details, still little is known about the specific violations and events that led to the escalation. The lawsuit has emerged more than a year after Chen terminated his collaborations with the American sneaker label and began releasing products with adidas, like the CLOT Silk Gazelle and the CLOTAnthony EdwardsAE-1. For years, the CLOT designer worked closely with Nike on various models before partnering with the Three Stripes brand in 2023. In 2004, Chen founded CLOT in Hong Kong and began partnering with Nike in 2006. The brand still maintains special popularity in the Asia Pacific region for its exploration of Eastern heritage and aesthetics, but has become increasingly global thanks to partnerships with sportswear titans. As the brand charges forth with a new CEO at the helm, it seems that it's become more vigilant of its brand universe than ever, targeting direct collaborators like Chen and even designers outside of their direct sphere, likethe Shoe Surgeon. Nike's move to sue Chen comes right after the brand finally settled with the famous custom-sneaker designer, a de-escalation from the $60 million originally demanded. Stay tuned to Hypebeast as more details emerge on the case.
