
Sky customers given free gift after technical issue
This comes as some Sky customers experienced a technical issue with their Sky Q boxes last week.
The email reads: 'On the evening of 15 May, a technical issue caused some Sky Q boxes to enter standby mode. Our teams acted quickly to resolve the issue and restore services.
'We understand how frustrating it can be to lose access to your favourite shows and channels, and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused. We're taking every step to make sure it doesn't happen again.'
Sky customers to receive free gift after technical issue
Sky has said customers will receive a free gift as an apology for the issue that may have interrupted their TVs.
It said: 'We're gifting you a Sky Store Buy & Keep movie — it's our way of saying thank you for bearing with us.'
To redeem the gift, you need to go to your TV homepage and visit the Sky Store.
Then click on the 'Your Sky Store gift on us' tile and choose a film.
Once you download it, the film 'is yours to keep forever'.
To redeem the offer, you'll need to make sure you choose your gift before Saturday, May 31.
What to do if you're still having issues with your Sky Q box
Sky also included some instructions to help customers who might still be experiencing issues with their Sky Q boxes.

It said: 'If you're still experiencing disruption to your Sky Q services, please try the following steps: Switch off your Sky Q box at the mains, wait for 30 seconds, switch it back on to restore services.
'Please also reboot your main Sky Q box if you're having problems with a connected Mini box.

Sky previously announced that seven channels would be changed this month but that has been increased following the latest news as the company's secret overhaul continues. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Sky have announced four more channels will be replaced this month Commencing on June 9, 2025, four channels are set to vanish as the company aims to give its service a fresh look. Sky Family will be temporarily renamed to Sky Fantasy on channel 306/850. Sky Pitch Perfect, which will replace Sky Comedy on June 7, will be reverted back into Sky Comedy on June 9, 2025. Meanwhile, Sky Blockbusters which was introduced as a temporary channel in July 2023, will be reverting back to Sky Hits on channel 303. After it was announced by ITV that their beloved channel ITVBe will cease to exist, the brand new - ITV Quiz - will take its place on channel 131. 3 June will see the end of beloved channel ITVBe This follows Sky already announcing that seven other channels will be changing this month.
