Kate and William's pals 'gave Meghan's lifestyle brand a brutal nickname'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced ongoing tension with senior members of the royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not spoken to the Sussexes in years Since stepping back from royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced ongoing tension with senior members of the royal family. Following the couple's high-profile 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where the Sussexes made multiple accusations about life inside Palace walls, the Late Queen issued a rare statement with the now-famous remark, "recollections may vary". However, when Prince Harry published his memoir Spare in January 2023, Buckingham Palace stayed silent, choosing not to address any of the claims made in the book. It comes after it emerged Meghan Markle's 'inappropriate' living request was 'firmly denied' by late Queen. Although a recent "peace summit" between King Charles and Harry's senior aides hinted at possible reconciliation between both camps after years of brutal barbs, Prince William's team were reportedly not invited to the meeting. And some of those close to Prince William and Princess Kate have allegedly expressed scepticism about Harry and Meghan in private. According to a royal source cited by Bella Magazine, friends of the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly mocked Meghan's rebranded lifestyle venture, As Ever, referring to the Duchess of Sussex's latest business venture as 'As If', as in ' as if it will take off'. "It sparked quite a bit of laughter in the group," one source told Bella Magazine. "There were a lot of WhatsApp messages flying around. The whole thing seems a bit rushed and low-budget - honestly, it's a little embarrassing." However, Meghan's lifestyle brand As Ever continues to be a huge hit with her dedicated fans, with almost all of her products, including her new rosé wine and famous jams, to flower sprinkles and a shortbread cookie mix, selling out in record time. Last week, As Ever launched its new 2024 vintage rosé wine. Meghan celebrated the launch with a video to Instagram of her uncorking a bottle marked 'Bottle #1' to toast to her achievements. Alongside the clip, she wrote: "Here we go! First bottle off the line! Toasting to a beautiful day: Our Napa rose is live @aseverofficial." Despite the first wine launch of the 2023 vintage tipple selling out within one hour after being released last month, the latest launch is still available to buy at the time of writing. The new wine has the exact same price point as the previous batch, and is available in batches of three, six and twelve, with each bottle costing £22 ($30) and sold at £66 ($90), £116 ($159) and £218 ($300) respectively. The As Ever brand appeared to explain the non-sell out by posting a video on its social media page of a bottle of the rosé being poured into a branded glass with the caption: "We made so much more this round, and yet it's still going fast! Don't miss out."

Richard Madeley says 'my mum hated me' for life-changing decision he made
ITV Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley made a life-changing decision at the age of 16 but it seems his mum was not happy about it and 'hated' him for it During today's episode of Good Morning Britain, Richard Madeley confessed that his mother was not pleased with a decision he made in his youth. On Thursday's (August 14) instalment of the ITV programme, the presenter, 69, brought up the topic of A-Level results day. In conversation with his co-host Charlotte Hawkins, he asked: "What did you get, Charlie?" To which she responded: "I got three As". Richard quipped: "Oh there's always one isn't there?!" However, she admitted that these were not her predicted grades and she hadn't performed as well in her mock exams. She explained: "We all went to the school to get them, it was really special and I was not expecting that at all. "I think having not done very well when it came to the mock exams obviously gave me some impetus to think, 'Well, I need to get cracking on this'" The focus then shifted to Richard, who disclosed that he had left school at an early age, reports the Mirror. When Charlotte enquired about his exam results, he said: "Well, I left school at 16 to join the local paper. My mum thought it was a very bad move, my dad thought it was great. "My mum hated me as I started work when I was 16 and she insisted that I go to night school and take A-Levels there. So, I took an English A-Level and I got a B, I think." However, the seasoned broadcaster pointed out that when he sat the exam, he was already two years into his position at the publication, which launched his career. It appeared Richard had made the correct choice as he had climbed to assistant editor and secured a role with the BBC by age 19. Nevertheless, the ITV personality has previously opened up about his difficult school experiences. During a chat on Good Morning Britain, he spoke about being singled out by bullies. He said at the time: "I was at school long before social media and I got really badly bullied through the first two years of my Grammar School, when I was about 12 and 13 years old. "I dread to think had we been online as well, it just would have been a nightmare. "I didn't report it. It was a sense of shame, not a sense of fear, that I was being targeted."
