Several viral posts on Instagram claim that since Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta have been missing from the current plot, it might be possible they are planning to quit the show.
Who does not know Jethalal and Babita ji? The iconic characters, played by Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta respectively in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, are widely loved by the audience. However, the current plot in the show doesn't feature the favourite pair of characters. And therefore, their absence has left everyone wondering if Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta have left the popular sitcom.
The rumours of Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta's exit from TMKOC started after fans noticed that Jethalal and Babita Ji have been missing from the current 'Bhootni' plot for a long time now. All the members of the Gokuldham society are on vacation in a haunted bungalow. While other characters like Bapu ji, Popatlal, Sodhi and others have joined Taarak Mehta and Anjali on this vacation, Jethalal and Babita Ji have been missing in action. This has left everyone wondering if Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta are planning to quit the show.
As reported by ABP News, the show's production house has confirmed that Munmun Dutta and Dilio Joshi are still part of the show. While the current plotline indicates that 'Jethalal' is on a business trip with his associates, 'Babita' and 'Iyer' are said to be vacationing in Mahabaleshwar.
It should be noted that both Munmun Dutta and Dilip Joshi have been a part of TMKOC ever since its beginning. The former plays the role of Babita ji in the popular sitcom, and her chemistry with Jethalal (essayed by Dilip Joshi) is widely loved by all.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running successfully for 17 years now. However, in these years, several actors have also left the show. Among others, Disha Vakani, Jheel Mehta, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat, Palak Sindhwani, Gurucharan Singh Sodhi and Neha Mehta are no longer a part of TMKOC.
In a previous interview with the SCREEN, Asit Modi talked about actors leaving the show and then making allegations against him. 'I have never detached myself from the actors. If there is any issue, they can always contact me. I have always been very honest and kept the show first. I have never thought of any personal gains, so with incidents like these, I do get upset, but it's a part of life," he said.
