'Some fake channels, under the name of Iran, are attempting to damage Iran-India relations. These accounts do not belong to Iran," the embassy stated in a post shared on X.

The embassy shared a list of multiple fraudulent accounts, some of which displayed the paid subscription blue verification tick, making them appear authentic to casual users.
According to the post, the impersonating profiles included fake accounts posing as Iranian Armed Forces handles and others pretending to represent Iranian government ministries.

Among the false claims circulated, one post alleged that Iran was reconsidering the
Chabahar port agreement
with India because US B-2 bombers had supposedly used Indian airspace for strikes on Iran. "Iran is reconsidering its Chabahar port agreement with India following revelations that US B-2 bombers used Indian airspace for strikes on Iran," it read.
Despite rising global tensions, the two countries have long maintained cooperation over the strategic Chabahar port, which serves as a key trade and connectivity hub linking India to Afghanistan and Central Asia.
The post in question is further referring to the Donald Trump-led US administration's Operation Midnight Hammer against Iran on June 22. Several nuclear facilities was targeted by the US Armed Forces in a combined attack resulted from the increasingly rising military conflicts between its ally Israel and Tehra.

Who Is Harsh Vardhan Shringla? Shringla is an ex-Foreign Secretary of India. He joined the IFS in 1984 and was the youngest in his batch. He has been described by his peers as 'no nonsense" and 'sharp". He graduated from Delhi University's St. Stephen's College. He published papers on economic diplomacy, Indian diaspora, conflict prevention, and India-Bangladesh relations. He has also published op-eds in outlets such as The New York Times. Before diplomatic service, he worked briefly in India's corporate and public sectors. He served as an Ambassador to Thailand (from 2014 to 2016), High Commissioner to Bangladesh (from 2016 to 2019), and then as Ambassador to the United States (from January 2019 to January 2020). He served as the 33rd Foreign Secretary from January 29, 2020, to April 30, 2022. He also served as the Chief Coordinator during India's Presidency of the G20 Summit in 2023. He oversaw the successful organisation and adoption of the Delhi Declaration on Day One of the summit in New Delhi. Shringla has held key roles at the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, including Joint Secretary for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and the Maldives. He also led the UN Political and SAARC divisions, and earlier handled Nepal, Bhutan, and Western Europe affairs. DEIR AL-BALAH: At least 31 Palestinians were fatally shot on their way to an aid distribution site in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, while Israeli airstrikes killed at least 28 Palestinians including four children, Palestinian hospital officials and witnesses said. The deaths came after no signs of a breakthrough in ceasefire talks following two days of meetings between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump had said he was closing in on an agreement between Israel and Hamas that would potentially wind down the war. The 31 shot dead were on their way to a distribution site run by the Israeli-backed American organization Gaza Humanitarian Foundation near Rafah in southern Gaza, hospital officials and witnesses said. The Red Cross said its field hospital saw its largest influx of dead in more than a year of operation after the shootings, and that the overwhelming majority of the more than 100 people hurt had gunshot wounds. The airstrikes in central Gaza's Deir al-Balah killed 13 including the four children, officials at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said. Fifteen others were killed in Khan Younis in the south, according to Nasser Hospital. Israel's military did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Intense airstrikes continued Saturday evening in the area of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.

He said Pakistan's nuclear weapons are meant only for peaceful purposes and self-defence, ' not for aggression'. When asked about the use of nuclear weapons, Sharif stressed, 'Pakistan's nuclear programme is solely for peaceful purposes and national defence, not for aggression.' The conflict began after a terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 civilians. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. On May 7, Indian forces carried out strikes on nine terror sites, including Bahawalpur, known as a stronghold of the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group. These strikes were part of the retaliation for the Pahalgam attack.
