Allu Arjun can't be blamed for fan's death during Pushpa premiere, says Vishnu Manchu: ‘Watching people scream gives you a high'
After almost eight months, Allu Arjun's friend and actor Vishnu Manchu defended the actor as he told Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel, 'I wouldn't want to deliberate much on that because the case is still going on in the court. But, as the President of Movie Artist Association back in Hyderabad, I really felt that it was not his mistake. The only mistake he did was being him. We all would like to go see the movie in a theater. It gives us a high. People don't realise it.'
He added, 'It is like winning a wimbledon. His movie comes out, he went to see it, getting the high of people screaming for you looking at the screen. That's a big high. We all actor aspire for that. We work hard for that. We diet, we kill that appetite for that. We sweat and give our blood for that.' Calling the death of the fan 'unfortunate', Vishnu Manchu shared, 'Him being the posterboy for that tragedy is I believe is wrong.'
A week after the incident, the victim's family filed a complaint which led to Allu Arjun's arrest on December 13. He was arrested from his residence in Jubilee Hills. Soon after, the Nampally court sentenced him to 14 days in remand. However, the High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks. The order led to his release from Chanchalguda Central Jail on December 14.
Days after his arrest, Allu Arjun held a press conference and shared his character was being 'assassinated'. He said, 'It is a very unfortunate incident. It is completely an accident. My condolences to the family. I am taking updates every hour about the condition of the child (hospitalised). His condition is improving, it is very good. There is a lot of misinformation, false allegations are being made. I don't want to blame any department or politician. My character is being assassinated.'

The actor added, 'I have been going to the same theatre for the last 20 years, and I have been to the same place more than 30 times. There has never been an accident like this before. I should reserve my comments because I don't want to say anything that will tamper the case.'
On January 3, the Nampally court granted him a conditional bail and directed him to submit two sureties of Rs 50,000 each. On January 7, he visited the injured child and offered condolences to the boy's father for the death of his wife. He even announced a compensation of Rs 2 crore for the family. While Rs 1 crore was given by Allu Arjun, Mythri Movies and director Sukumar gave Rs 50 lakh each.
The film earned Rs 1742.1 crore worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Supreme Court stays trial in two cases involving Azam Khan's son Abdullah
The Supreme Court on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) stayed an order of the Allahabad High Court directing Rampur's MP-MLA Court to proceed with the trial in two cases linked to former MLA and senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan's son Mohammad Abdullah Azam Khan. A Bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and N. Kotiswar Singh also issued notice to the Uttar Pradesh Government on an appeal filed by Mr. Abdullah. On July 23, the High Court dismissed two petitions filed by Mr. Abdullah challenging the proceedings of criminal cases against him. The first case is related to Mr. Abdullah's alleged fake passport and the second case to his obtaining two PAN cards. 'Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, in my considered view, the instant application is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed,' the High Court said. Mr. Abdullah filed separate petitions in the High Court concerning the two cases requesting it to set aside the entire criminal proceedings of the ongoing trials in Rampur's MP/MLA Court. BJP MLA Akash Saxena had filed a case against Mr. Abdullah in Rampur on July 30, 2019, alleging fraud and violation of the Passport Act for allegedly obtaining the travel document using an incorrect date of birth. According to the complaint, Mr. Abdullah was issued a passport on January 10, 2018. The passport lists the date of birth as September 30, 1990 but his educational certificates say January 1, 1993. Mr. Saxena also filed an FIR against Mr. Abdullah and father Azam Khan at the Civil Lines police station in Rampur on December 6, 2019. Mr. Saxena alleged that Mr. Abdullah had furnished an incorrect PAN number in his election affidavit during the 2017 Assembly elections. Mr. Saxena also accused Mr. Azam Khan of being a fraudster and a liar, claiming that the senior SP leader got two PAN cards made for his son through fraud to enable him to contest elections. According to him, Mr. Abdullah allegedly concealed this fact in the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI). He showed one PAN number in the affidavit, but used another number in his income tax return documents.

Kerala High Court: Stray dog attacks must be treated like wild animal threat
The Kerala High Court expressed strong concern over the growing menace of stray dog attacks in the state, while hearing a writ petition filed by a law student who was bitten by a stray dog. The petitioner sought implementation of Animal Birth Control Rules in light of the increasing number of the proceedings, the court directed sharp remarks at an animal lover who had joined the group opposing the plea. 'Will give you all stray dogs, you can take care of them,' the court remarked, asking the person to suggest solutions to address the crisis. The bench said one can understand the pain only after being bitten by a dog or losing someone to such an incident. 'Animals have legal rights. But human rights are above all,' the High Court court noted with concern that even vaccinated children had died of rabies, and stressed that the matter called for urgent and practical solutions. 'Stray dog attacks should be considered like wild animal attacks. We have to find a solution. Humans and animals should co-exist,' the court said. A single bench led by Justice CS Dias also stated orally that responsibility for dog attacks must be fixed. 'If a human attacks an animal it is an offence, similarly, when an animal attacks the human the custodian is charged with an offence.' The court added that if dogs attack humans, the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, who is in charge of the dogs, should be held accountable. However, the court clarified that euthanasia was not a Kerala High Court accepted the state government's suggestion to set up an interim committee, under the court's supervision, to tackle the issue. The court also called upon the state to frame legislation for the creation of a permanent body to address stray dog court directed the Director General of Police to inform how many First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered in relation to such attacks in the past year.
