SASTRA graduates told to think big, take risk and remain humble

Trichy: The idea of a rising India and the time for thinking big have come together for graduates to leverage their career potential with a careful blend of ancient wisdom and modern technology, Puneet Dalmia, MD & CEO of Dalmia Bharat Ltd said, while delivering the 39th Convocation Day address at SASTRA Deemed University
Dalmia encouraged graduates to think big, take risk and remain humble in their career development path.
"India's transition from a a fragile economy to the fourth largest economy is a signal for responsible growth and sustainable development which needs to be enriched with financial & human capital, both of which are in the rising curve," said Dalmia.
More than 4,200 students were conferred UG, PG & PhD, degrees in engineering, sciences, management, law, educations and arts. The founder-chancellor's best doctoral thesis awards for engineering, sciences and non-STEM disciplines were awarded to Jayanth Sharma, S Harshavardhan and Amrith Bhargav respectively.
The best outgoing BTech graduate awards in boys and girls category were presented to Adhappan Vishnu (CSE) and Lalitha Tejaswi (CS - AI & DS) respectively.

'The idea of a rising India and the time for thinking big have come together for graduates to leverage their career potential with a careful blend of ancient wisdom and modern technology,' said Puneet Dalmia, managing director and CEO of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., delivering the 39th Convocation Day address at SASTRA Deemed University on Sunday. Encouraging graduates to think big, take risks and remain humble in their career development, Mr. Dalmia said India's transition from a fragile economy to the world's fourth largest economy signalled responsible growth and sustainable development. 'This growth must be enriched with both financial and human capital, which are on the rise,' he said. He stressed on the need to align multidisciplinary growth in IT, infrastructure, manufacturing, semiconductors, electronics, agriculture and services with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. Over 4,200 students received undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees across engineering, sciences, management, law, education, and arts. Founder-Chancellor's Best Doctoral Thesis Awards were presented to Jayanth Sharma (Engineering), S. Harshavardhan (Sciences), and Amrith Bhargav (non-STEM disciplines). The Best Outgoing B. Tech. Graduate Awards went to Adhappan Vishnu (Computer Science and Engineering) and Lalitha Tejaswi (Computer Science – AI & Data Science). SASTRA's Chancellor R. Sethuraman presided over the event. Vice-Chancellor S. Vaidhyasubramaniam welcomed the gathering.

Graduation Day, Achievers' Day held at BVCEC

Amalapuram: Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College (BVCEC) in Odalarevu celebrated its Graduation Day and Achievers' Day for the 2021-25 batch of students. The event, held in a grand manner, saw 632 students receive their B Tech degrees. Additionally, more than 500 graduates who had secured placements in various prestigious companies were recognized and honoured. The chief guest Dr M H M Krishna Prasad, Professor and Director-Academics at JNTUK-Kakinada, congratulated the new graduates and urged them to use their technical expertise to improve society. Dr Ramesh Kanneganti, Founder and Executive Director of Human Security Studies, Hyderabad, attended as the guest of honour and commended the college for its service to the nation by providing excellent technical education to students from rural and remote areas. Another chief guest was Chandu Srinivasa Rao, Founder of APTA and CEO of USA. He congratulated the students who had secured jobs and encouraged them to work diligently to eventually become entrepreneurs. The events were attended by several dignitaries, including Bonam Kanakayya, secretary of BVC Educational Institutions; Bonam Krishna Satish, Chairman; and Bonam Kanaka Durga, Vice-Chairman. Also present were Dr D Maheswar, Principal of BVCEC; Dr A Pravin, Vice-Principal; Prof. B Srinivas, Controller of Exams; Dr K Rajasekhar, Officer, IIIC; AYRV Prasad, A.O.; Dr JVG Rama Rao, Principal of BVCITS; Dr. T V Janardhana Rao, Principal of BVCR; as well as all HODs, faculty, and staff members. They all extended their congratulations to the degree holders and job achievers.
