Seminar on 'The Call of the People of Qiblah' at Islamic Book Fair in Jakarta
The Muslim Council of Elders held a thought-provoking seminar titled 'The Call for the People of Qiblah and Efforts to Strengthen Intra-Islamic Dialogue' as part of its participation in the 2025 Islamic Book Fair in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The event drew significant interest and active engagement from both visitors and participants.
The seminar featured distinguished speakers including Dr. Syafiq Mughni, Vice President of Muhammadiyah; Dr. Muhammad Zain Al-Majid, Member of the Executive Office of the Muslim Council of Elders; and Ms. Alissa Qotrunnada Wahid, Coordinator of the Gusdurian Network Indonesia (GNI).
Opening the seminar, Prof. Dr. Syafiq Mughni stressed the critical importance of intra-Islamic dialogue in light of the growing challenges facing the Muslim world, both internally and externally. He noted that these challenges are a true test for the Ummah, which the Qur'an describes as 'You are the best community ever raised for humanity' [3:110]. Achieving this status, he explained, requires both knowledge and moral values, emphasizing that scientific advancement is incomplete without a strong ethical foundation.
He remarked, 'The key to the revival of the Ummah lies in blending modern science with noble character. Morality is the backbone of any nation—when it collapses, the nation follows.' He also called for greater commitment to moderation and balance in addressing differences, stating that the advancement of knowledge and ethics together is what protects the Ummah from falling into extremism and takfir (excommunication).

Mohamed Mandour The Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion at the Istanbul International Arabic Book Fair hosted a seminar titled 'Countering Islamophobia in Europe: An Analytical Perspective,' presented by Dr. Samir Boudinar, Director of the Hokama Center for Peace Research. During the seminar, Boudinar discussed key themes from the book 'Countering Islamophobia in Europe,' published by Al Hokama Publishing, stressing that Islamophobia is rooted in deliberate fearmongering and the systematic distortion of Islam's image through orchestrated hate campaigns. He underlined the need to confront the phenomenon through legal frameworks, rigorous media monitoring, and intellectual awareness programs. He also called for clear action plans by religious and cultural institutions to highlight Islam's true values of dialogue, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. The seminar drew attention to the importance of coordinated efforts to challenge misconceptions about Islam and to foster mutual understanding across diverse communities. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Cardi B Drops Single "Imaginary Playerz"
Yara Sameh With just over a month until Cardi B's anticipated sophomore album arrives, the Bronx native follows up 'Outside' with the release of the ' Imaginary Playerz ' single on Friday. The track samples Jay-Z's legendary 'Imaginary Players' from his 1997 In My Lifetime, Vol. 1. Earlier this week, Cardi revealed she received a stamp of approval from Hov. 'If he didn't approve it, I probably wouldn't even feel a certain type of way neither, because it's like, 'OK, maybe I just had to come a little bit harder,'' she said in an X Spaces. 'But I'm glad that I came hard and he loved it.' Cardi announced the single on Monday alongside sharing the opulent cover art, which finds her in a white fur coat and sitting on the front of a matching Rolls-Royce. 'Just a lil taste of the drama. IMAGINARY PLAYERZ THIS FRIDAY,' she wrote on Instagram . It remains to be seen if Cardi will be releasing a third single before the timer expires on her sophomore LP release date. "Am I the Drama?" boasts 23 tracks, including previously released singles 'Up' and 'WAP.' The Grammy-winning rapper defended her decision to keep the pair of years-old songs on the album. 'This will be the last and only time I'm gonna address this,' she wrote on X in June. 'WAP and Up are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time… they deserve a home.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
