Director Mahesh Bhatt and his daughter, actor Pooja Bhatt, once appeared in a film magazine where they were photographed kissing each other. As expected, this launched many controversies and over three decades later, members of the Bhatt family are still answering questions about that photograph. Recently, Mahesh's son Rahul Bhatt was asked about the same picture and he recalled he was 14 when this picture came out.
Talking to Hindi Rush, Rahul shared, 'Kuch faraq nahi padhta hai. It's like water off a duck's back. Humko maloom hai sach kya hai… humne bachpan se dekha hai yaar' (It doesn't make any difference. It's like water off a duck's back. We know the truth… we've seen it since childhood.)'
He said that those who grow up in a film family are 'immune' to such controversies. 'Film parivar ke bache ya toh bohot messed up hota hai ya bohot mazboot. Logon ko lagta hai humein farq padhta hai, magar nahi (Kids from film families are either really messed up or really strong. People think we care, but we don't),' he said.
Pooja Bhatt herself has previously spoken about the much-debated photograph. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she described the moment as 'absolutely innocent,' adding that she couldn't dictate how people choose to interpret it. 'Agar log baap aur beti ke rishte ko alag najariye se dekh sakte hai toh vo kuch bhi kar sakte hai. Fir hum baat karte hai family values ki. Bahut kamal ka joke hai (If people can look at a father-daughter relationship from a twisted lens, they're capable of anything. Then we talk about family values. What an incredible joke that is),' she said.
Mahesh and Pooja worked in many films in the 1990s. She was seen in his directorials like Daddy, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Sadak, Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee, Sir, Zakhm among others.

'We need to focus more on the art': Arjun Rampal calls out Bollywood's OTT franchise obsession

Arjun Rampal has never been one to chase the herd. From his National Award-winning performance in Rock On!! (2008) to acclaimed roles in Om Shanti Om (2007), (2011), and Daddy (2017), he has consistently gravitated towards complex, often morally grey characters. But despite the recognition and reinvention, the actor now finds himself questioning the industry's creative compass. In a recent interview The Indian Express Screen , Rampal expressed concern over the OTT boom 's shift from experimentation to exploitation. 'There's a lack of purity in our work nowadays. It's all about creating one franchise after another,' he said, calling out the assembly-line approach that seems to be stifling originality. Rampal, who was among the first mainstream actors to embrace OTT content, says the initial excitement has dulled. 'About 7–8 years ago, there was great writing. But maintaining that consistency is tough now. We need to focus more on the art, not just the product.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 잇몸이 내려앉고 이빨까지 흔들렸던 ''악성 치주염''을 개선한 단 1가지 유일한 관리법.. 메디컬사이언스 더 알아보기 Undo The Franchise Trap and 'Rana Naidu' While promoting Season 2 of Rana Naidu , Rampal acknowledged that sequels aren't inherently problematic—provided they don't compromise narrative integrity. 'I appreciated how the team stayed true to Season 1 but created a new story altogether. That's the kind of continuation that works.' He warned, however, against overextending concepts for the sake of marketability. 'If you force something that shouldn't be a franchise, you're bound to land in trouble,' he said, advocating for artistic intention over algorithmic demands. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) A Career Built on Bold Choices Rampal's filmography is rich with genre-bending choices—from the world tour stages of Temptation and Heartthrob , to his villainous turns in Don and . His portrayal of Arun Gawli in Daddy , which he also produced, remains one of his most intense and well-received performances. Over the years, the actor has worked with top filmmakers, from Prakash Jha in Raajneeti to J.P. Dutta in Paltan , and continues to push his boundaries in projects like the much-delayed Panjab 95 . Based on a real-life story, the film has been stuck with the censor board. 'It's a beautiful story,' Rampal said. 'We've put our heart and soul into it. I just hope it finds its way to the audience.' A Glimpse Into What's Next Rampal also teased his upcoming ensemble thriller Dhurandhar , alongside Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. He called director Aditya Datt a visionary and said the film promises to be 'a ride worth waiting for.' In an industry often driven by trends, Arjun Rampal's steady voice offers a rare reflection. For an actor who once ruled the ramp and now navigates the streaming space, his message is clear: it's time to return to storytelling with soul.

Beyonce, a doting mother to three kids, knows how to make them feel special. The actress' gesture as she stopped her show in London to call upon her fans to wish her twins on their 8th birthday is winning hearts. The 35-time Grammy winner was performing for her fourth Cowboy Carter tour show when she sought help from the crowd to extend her heartfelt birthday wishes to Rumi and Sir whom she welcomed in 2017. While on stage, Beyoncé said, 'Everybody say happy birthday, Rumi." The light-hearted moment also saw the twins' big sister Blue Ivy Carter, standing beside them smiling. A standout moment also captured Ivy affectionately grabbing her little sister's chin. As the crowd continued to scream excitedly, Beyoncé added, 'Say happy birthday, Sir! Mommy loves you." Seemingly shy and smiling, Rumi cutely leaned towards her mother's waist and the latter also showcased her love, adorably embracing her. Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) share three kids – Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir. The couple got married to each other in 2008 after dating for a few years. In 2012, they embraced parenthood for the first time and welcomed their eldest child. Their family expanded after the arrival of Rumi and Sir in 2017. In an earlier interview with Rap Radar, Jay-Z explained the inspiration behind the names of their kids. He said, 'Rumi is our favourite poet, so it was for our daughter." Talking about son, he added, 'Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir." Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, also opened up on the couple's kids in a previous chat with E! News during her appearance at the Kentucky Derby in May 2024. She shared, 'Rumi is amazing — an amazing artist, painter and creator," and added, 'How could they be anything else growing up in that environment? All we talk about is creativity and fashion." According to Tina, Sir is quiet and 'does all of the numbers stuff, so he's not into fashion as much." It needs to be noted that Beyonce's girls have been accompanying her on the Cowboy Carter tour. The tradition began with Blue Ivy when she joined her mother during her Renaissance World Tour. Sir, on the other hand, stays out of the spotlight. First Published:
