State rests case, defendants wants more witnesses called in Ksoo, ATK Scotty murder trial
The defense argues Robinson, a rapper who performs under the name Ksoo, was misidentified as the suspect due to discrepancies in height and weight descriptions.
Charles McCormick Jr., known as Lil Buck, was shot and killed outside an Arlington shopping plaza in 2020, an incident believed to be linked to gang activity.

Hakeem Robinson and Leroy Whitaker, known as ATK Scotty, face charges of first-degree murder in connection with McCormick's death.
Officer Graham, who his court testimony Wednesday, stated that the closest he got to the suspect during the chase was 50 yards. He described the suspect as a black male approximately 5′8″ to 5′10″ tall, wearing a gray shirt and pants.
The trial faced delays as the defense introduced two additional witnesses, including Robinson's sister, which were not on the original witness list.
This led to a Richardson hearing to determine if there was a violation of discovery rules. The judge decided to proceed with the witnesses already listed and allowed the state to quickly depose the new witnesses before making a decision on their testimony.

After the shooting, Robinson, Whitaker, and Dominique Barner allegedly fled the scene in a Nissan Altima, which later crashed. Robinson reportedly ran in one direction and was pursued by several officers, including Officer Graham.
The defense highlighted the height discrepancy, noting that Robinson is listed as 6′3″ in court records, which contrasts with Officer Graham's description. During cross-examination, the state questioned Officer Graham's ability to accurately identify the suspect, given his limited view.

New Cross: Man arrested on suspicion of murder after fatal stabbing in southeast London
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 26-year-old was stabbed to death in southeast London. Met Police officers were called to reports of a man with stab wounds at an address on Monson Road, New Cross, at 7.30pm on Saturday. The force attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service and medics from the Air Ambulance who provided emergency care. Officers said the 26-year-old man died at the scene, and specialist officers are supporting his family. Scotland Yard said another 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later. He remains in custody as of Sunday afternoon. Whale dies after collision with small boat off New Jersey shore
BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A minke whale died off the New Jersey shore after a collision that nearly tipped over a small boat and threw a person overboard. Social media video of the collision in Barnegat Bay on Saturday afternoon shows the motor boat rocking after the impact and the 20-foot (6-meter) whale splashing near the craft before swimming away. The person thrown overboard manages to tread water next to the boat. The whale was found dead after it came to rest on a sandbar in shallow water. Marine authorities were not able to get close to the whale due to tidal conditions, according to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, a not-for-profit rescue, rehabilitation and release organization. 'At this point, we really don't have much to go on,' Jay Pagel, stranding coordinator at the center, said Sunday. 'The side of the animal that we were able to observe had no obvious marks on it that we could see. But again, our visibility was very limited.' Pagel said there were reports the whale had injuries prior to the collision captured on video. He noted there was a second video posted online that appears to show the whale making contact with a pontoon boat after the initial collision. The animal will be towed to a state park on Monday morning for a necropsy to determine the cause of death.
