Meet Showcase, a new fun, sustainable and affordable way to shop
Sustainability is a topic that is on everyone's mind, and this is especially true for us living here in the UAE. So much so that UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan dedicated not one but two years (2023 and 2024) to the 'Year of Sustainability'. But this value goes beyond recycling your plastic bottles, being water conscious, and energy conservation; you can extend the lifestyle into your fashion shopping habits as well. And here to help us make more sustainable choices when it comes to what we put in our cupboard is Showcase, the first booth concept store in Dubai at Dubai Investment Park. The original idea was inspired by successful models in Las Vegas and Finland, and now, fashionistas and shoppers here in the UAE can enjoy this new, unique way to shop. *11 homegrown brands to shop instead of international luxury labels* What is the concept behind Showcase? Showcase is a fun, sustainable fashion game-changer, one packed with rails and rails of unique items from designer shoes to gorgeous bags, unique pieces, and so much more. And they are all waiting for a new home. Those looking to shop for their next big find can spend time browsing through the store at Dubai Investment Park, trying on outfits, and walking away with an absolute deal. Not only will you be giving a pre-loved fashion item (many with the original price tag still on) a new home, but you will also be living a bit more sustainably. And the planet will thank you for it. The booths at Showcase can all be rented, which means you will have quite the selection to pick from given that it will showcase fashion choices from different sellers. Think of it as a range of mini boutiques, but it's all under one roof. And with new customers opting to sell their items, you're sure to find something new each and every time you visit. Want to rent a booth? Rentals are available for two weeks, and you can sell your pre-loved clothes, shoes, and accessories. You will be able to tag and style your booth just the way you want, and the team at Showcase will handle the rest, including the marketing and transactions. It will be a great way for you to declutter your home, earn cash, and, of course, shop for some new finds. Happy Shopping! DAZN and TVU transform FIFA Club WC coverage with cloud workflow
By feeding 32 TVU RPS One transmitters into TVU MediaHub, DAZN could instantly route any live moment, from a penalty in L.A. to a save in Miami, to broadcasters worldwide. DAZN, the global sports entertainment platform, partnered with TVU Networks to power a fully cloud-based production and distribution system for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, transforming how live sports are delivered to global audiences. This year's tournament, hosted across major stadiums in the United States, marked the debut of the Club World Cup's expanded format featuring 32 top football clubs from around the world. Over the course of a month, the event united fans from all continents in a celebration of elite football. Through the use of TVU Networks' advanced cloud technology, DAZN connected production teams across nine countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. This enabled seamless real-time coordination and remote management without the need for large on-site crews. Key to this setup was TVU MediaHub, which made all 32 TVU RPS One transmitters available instantly for global broadcast, allowing pivotal moments, from high-stakes goals in Los Angeles to dramatic saves in Miami, to reach regional networks worldwide with exceptional speed and efficiency. Centralising operations in the cloud allowed DAZN to streamline complex international workflows, reduce logistical burdens and accelerate content delivery while minimising environmental impact. The result was a more agile, sustainable and globally synchronised production model. This collaboration between DAZN and TVU Networks not only ensured top-tier coverage of the tournament but also set a new benchmark for the future of live sports broadcasting. By embracing cloud infrastructure, the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup demonstrated how cutting-edge technology can enhance viewer experience and redefine global event production.

PSG crush Real Madrid 4-0 to reach Club World Cup final
Paris St Germain's Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz scored twice in a devastating first-half display as the French champions demolished Real Madrid 4-0 on Wednesday to book their place in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea. Two defensive errors handed PSG their opening goals within nine minutes at MetLife Stadium. Raul Asencio's poor control in the sixth minute gifted Ousmane Dembele possession and his first effort was saved by Thibaut Courtois before the rebound was picked up by Ruiz who scored into an empty net. Antonio Ruediger's miskick as he attempted to pass three minutes later allowed Dembele to burst unmarked into the box before firing a tidy finish past Courtois. Ruiz struck again in the 24th minute after Achraf Hakimi made a great run down the right and the Spaniard held off defender Raul Asencio with a feint before finishing perfectly from close range. Substitute Goncalo Ramos completed the rout for European champions PSG three minutes from time, punishing a feeble Real Madrid side who failed to pose any attacking threat. "It was an incredible match, brilliant win," player of the match Ruiz told DAZN. "Even under scorching heat, such difficult conditions to play in midday, the team responded really well and it's an achievement to be proud of. "We made a perfect game and beat a top-level rival like Real Madrid in a great way. It's job well done." Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso's tactical gamble backfired spectacularly. Missing suspended defender Dean Huijsen and injured Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alonso abandoned the five-man defence that had served them well in previous rounds, reverting to a four-man backline that proved woefully inadequate against PSG's attacking prowess. PSG, who thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final last month, smelled blood from the opening whistle and never relented against opponents who looked clueless on how to approach Gianluigi Donnarumma's goal even with French forward Kylian Mbappe back in the starting side after illness. Dembele almost scored in the fourth minute with a curling strike from inside the box that Courtois stopped with a brilliant one-handed save before the keeper produced another stunning reflex block from a close-range strike by Ruiz. But there was nothing he could do to deny PSG from opening a three-goal lead and the French team had more chances to extend their advantage further before the break. Real made no changes at halftime and PSG stayed in control, with Desire Doue having a goal ruled out for an offside. The Spanish side never came close to causing Donnarumma a serious problem and Ramos added a fourth goal for PSG. "At the beginning, the setback was strong enough with a 2-0 down. We knew that the task was really tough," Real coach Alonso told DAZN. "At the moment, the feeling is not the best, but we'll have to try to learn from today. They are a team that has been built in two years and we are just starting here, so it will take time. "Right now what we need is a proper break. This is not the beginning of next year, this is just the end of this season. After just three weeks here, I think that we can take positives from this period, not from today. We take lessons from today."
