The best cream bronzers for a natural sunkissed glow this summer
The sun is out, which means our bronze game is on – and we don't just mean how strong are the tan lines, but how much bronzer we can wear to look naturally sunkissed, and then some.
You may have heard the term 'blusher blindness', which is when people apply lashings of rouge to their cheeks it's obvious they are wearing make-up. Well, we have that but with bronzer. We can't get enough of it.
When I first started dabbling into the world of beauty as a teenager, my first go-to was bronzer, which was described to me as 'the JLo glow', and the phrase has stuck with me ever since.
From matte to shimmer, powder, stick to liquid and cream bronzers, we have tried (and loved) them all. However, there is one standout formula that has recently topped the charts. According to John Lewis, searches for 'cream bronzer' are up by 114% in the last week alone, which speaks volumes.
Now we know what you're probably thinking. Cream bronzer can smudge, melt off, drip, and is not the most longlasting, or you may be thinking it will leave you with dark streaks on your cheeks and a glaring contrast to your natural skin. But you'd be wrong. Cream bronzer has come a long way since the hey days of Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse. More Trending
But a cream bronzer is not to be confused with a liquid bronzer or stick bronzer, though they all have their place and purpose in our make-up arsenal. A cream bronzer is slightly more dense than a lightweight liquid bronzer, such as Glossier's Cloud Paint. We would say a cream bronzer is a hybrid of a stick, liquid and powder bronzer in one.
As bronzer aficionados we have tried and tested a whole host of cream bronzers and whittled down our absolute ride or die cream bronzers.
Whether you apply with your finger tips, buff into the skin with a brush or beauty blender is entirely up to you.

Netflix reveals major TV return for unrecognisable Peaky Blinders legend
When Cillian Murphy and Netflix combine, it's usually a match made in heaven. But now, the streaming service has released the first-look images at the 49-year-old Irish actor as a headmaster at a last-chance reform school. Cain is left reeling after unexpected new discovery in Emmerdale
Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) is a man who takes risks in Emmerdale, always in the hope they'll be worth it. But pretending he's the manager of Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) garage was a risk that was never, ever going to pay off. A few days ago, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) received confirmation that she was now officially divorced from Tom King (James Chase). Once Tom's relatives Nicola and Jimmy King (Nicola Wheeler and Nick Miles) discovered the development, they offered Belle some support, and Nicola wondered how long it would be until she started getting back into the dating scene. Belle set up a profile on an app and Nicola managed to grab her phone and swipe on a few accounts, one of them being Kammy's. Of course in the moment his phone pinged with the notification, Kammy didn't know that Nicola had swiped, which meant the next time he saw Belle, he was coy and giggly, wondering how long it would be until they went out on a date. Because of Belle's anxieties surrounding relationships, she quickly shut Kammy down and said she wasn't interested at all. In tonight's episode though, it was clear that wasn't entirely true. Belle arrived in the café and found Kammy. They joked about Kammy lying on his profile and pretending that he's the boss at Cain's garage. And then he arrived. Cain questioned Kammy about this and it left him fearful, but it was clear he wasn't being totally serious. As he approached the counter for a drink, Cain glanced back at Belle and Kammy. They were laughing together and Cain realised that his sister was very much enjoying Kammy's company. A while later, Cain found Kammy in the village. He apologised again about the profile lie, but then found himself feeling even more awkward when Cain wondered if there was something going on between him and Belle. Kammy reassured Cain and said they're just mates. Cain can clearly sense something is going on though as if not, he wouldn't have felt the need to remind Kammy that Belle has been through an awful lot, and doesn't need someone messing her around. More Trending In the pub, Belle discovered what Cain had said to Kammy, and reiterated that they were just friends. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? It certainly left Kammy feeling a little bit crushed, but he will find himself smiling in the coming days, as he spends more time with his new pal. Belle is encouraged by Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) and decides to relish in the good vibes Kammy brings. If this is Belle's new romance storyline, overcoming her worries in her first relationship post-Tom will be a lot for her. View More » But will Kammy end up being the right match after all? Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb breaks silence on Mack death scenes
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has spoken out about his upcoming on-screen death. Metro revealed last week that killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) will claim his next victim – Mackenzie Boyd – in upcoming scenes. John, as viewers know, has somewhat of a hero complex, swooping in last minute to play the saviour after endangering the lives of several villagers. From spiking Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) to setting Ella Forster (Paula Lane) up, it doesn't seem like he's about to stop anytime soon. That's without mentioning the murder of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), who died before John could play the hero. A source told us: 'The John story has so many twists and turns to come and this will come as a genuine surprise to fans. 'Mack has survived quite a lot over the years but his time is well and truly up this time. 'What his exit does is set the stage for an exciting next stage to John's saga later in the autumn that will leave fans quite literally on edge.' Now actor Lawrence has been put in a difficult position about the upcoming story when questioned by the Loose Women panellists. When appearing on the ITV daytime show today to talk about the ongoing surrogacy storyline – that has seen Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) decide to be a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) – the awkward matter of his upcoming exit was addressed. 'I don't want to put you on the spot, but I'm going to,' asked Jane Moore. 'There's lots of rumours that Mack might be getting killed off.' Lawrence, visibly squirming, replied: 'Yeah, there are lots of rumours. And rumours they shall remain.' Quick thinking – though Denise Welch didn't look too convinced. Co-host Coleen Nolan then chimed in, asking: 'If that was the case, I'm not saying it is or it isn't, [but] do they discuss that with you straight away or about a month before it's happening?' 'It's never brutal,' he replied, being extremely cautious about his wording. 'I've always said, being in the show, I never want to be too prescriptive with it. 'I've always enjoyed doing what I'm doing. Ultimately if and when, – if, when – the time for Mack to leave comes, whether that be my choice or the writer-producers, I'll be thankful for the time that I've had.' He concluded: 'Ultimately, nobody is safe in the show. It's most dangerous village in the country.' Anchor Christine Lampard then stepped up to offer a much needed reprieve from the interrogation, introducing a clip from an upcoming episode. Mack made his debut five years ago when he turned up at Butlers Farm as the long-lost younger sibling of Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb). Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? He also swiftly embarked on a relationship with Charity, who was seeing Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) at the time of their one night stand. More Trending In the years since, Mack has been at the centre of numerous stories, including a one night stand with Chloe Harris, which led to the birth of his son Reuben. The storyline led to Charity and Mack splitting up but ultimately they found their way back to one another and have been happy in the years since, but it seems it could all be set to end in tragedy if John does in fact kill Mack.
