Crowd goes wild at ‘Housefull 5' Pune event: Akshay Kumar says ‘dhakka dhukki mat kariye', Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Bajwa console crying kid
The 'Housefull 5' team, including
Akshay Kumar
, Nana Patekar,
Jacqueline Fernandez
,
Sonam Bajwa
, Nargis Fakhri,
Soundarya Sharma
, and Fardeen Khan, flew to Pune on Sunday to promote their new comedy film. But what was meant to be a fun fan event quickly turned into chaos when the crowd got out of control as soon as the stars arrived at the mall, and what followed was a stampede-like situation.
Women and children seen crying
Videos that quickly went viral showed the alarming scenes that unfolded. Young girls and women were seen crying, and people at the back struggled to even stand straight as the pressure from the crowd increased. In one video shared by Instantbollywood, a young girl separated from her parents stood sobbing in front of the stage. Jacqueline Fernandez, who noticed the distressed child, stepped in to help.
She comforted the crying girl and assured her family she was safe.
This small but warm gesture didn't go unnoticed and touched many online.
Akshay Kumar pleads to the crowd to stay calm
As the situation grew more intense, Akshay Kumar took matters into his own hands. Taking the microphone, he addressed the restless crowd and pleaded for order. His voice was calm but firm as he said, 'Dhakka dhukki mat kariye, please. Haath jod ke vinanti karta hoon, yaha auratein hai, bacche hai…I request everyone, please."
The event resumes with fun and dance
Thankfully, things returned to normal shortly after Akshay's intervention. Security managed to get control of the situation, and the cast resumed the planned activities. Despite the rocky start, the event moved forward on schedule. The stars didn't let the earlier chaos affect their spirits. They interacted with fans, danced on stage, and even joined in a friendly round of phoogdi, not only among themselves but also with members of the audience.
'Housefull 5', known for its larger-than-life humour, is all set to hit the big screen on 6 June 2025. It stars a massive ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, Fardeen Khan,

Siddharth Nigam on being replaced by Aaman Devgan in Azaad: Waited an entire year
Actor Siddharth Nigam's mother, Vibha Nigam, recently recalled how her son was replaced by Aaman Devgan in 'Azaad' after auditioning for the film. She said that as a mother, she was hurt upon learning about Ajay Devgn's nephew being cast in the period drama. Siddharth and Vibha reflected on the unpredictable nature of the entertainment speaking about Siddharth's audition for 'Azaad,' Vibha, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, said, "I took him along for the meeting. The entire script was narrated, and we waited for a year. I was happy because the film was good, and Siddharth would have had a strong launch in Bollywood. I really loved the script."advertisement"But suddenly, after two years, Siddharth showed me the poster of 'Azaad' and said, 'Mum, this has been released, and these are the people in the film.' Then we saw that the film starred Ajay Devgn's nephew and Rasha. For the first time in my life, I felt bad. When things like this happen, as a mother, it hurts. Then I realised both of them were star kids, and that made all the difference," she added. Siddharth, however, stated that he doesn't want to blame anyone, as such is the nature of business in the film industry. He said, "There's no one to blame. This is the business industry, so there's no point in asking why they did it — they must have had their own reasons. It's more of a personal realisation and pain. You get your hopes up thinking something might work out. We wait for an entire year, and then we see the teaser. So after watching it, we just thought, 'Oh, okay. Let's move on.'"advertisementApart from Aaman, 'Azaad' featured Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani, who also made her film debut. The period action drama was directed by Abhishek Kapoor and co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor.'Azaad' released in theatres on January 17, Watch
