Brooke Hogan Oleksy may not have honored her father Hulk Hogan in the most traditional of ways, but she wants her followers and his fans to know how she did remember the legendary wrestler.
'My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one,' she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post shared Tuesday in reference to the elder Hogan, who died last month at the age of 71. 'And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him.'
That way, she explained, turned out to be 'in the simplest way that agreed with my soul.'
'We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved,' Hogan Oleksy wrote.
The post included a series of photos showing her, her husband Steven Oleksy and their infant twins enjoying a day at the beach. She wrote in the caption that 'the only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves…'
The younger Hogan appeared with her father, brother Nick and mother Linda on the VH1 reality series 'Hogan Knows Best' which ran from 2005 to 2007.
Hogan Oleksy has been out of the spotlight for years and privately married Steven Oleksy, a former professional hockey player, in 2022. The couple welcomed fraternal twins, Oliver and Molly, in January 2025.
The daughter of the wrestling great reportedly became estranged from her parents over the years and in March 2025 her mother Linda, whose divorce from Hulk Hogan was finalized in 2009, posted a since-deleted video saying her daughter no longer spoke to her or her ex-husband.
In responding to her mother's claims, Hogan Oleksy wrote in a statement posted on social media at the time that she ordinarily tries to avoid speaking publicly, 'But I have my own family now and it's affecting more than just me at this point.'
'No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother,' she wrote. 'This also pertains to to my Dad's second and third, now current wife. This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life.'
Following her father's death, Hogan Oleksy also shared a statement revealing that despite controversy and public misconceptions, the bond with her father 'has never broken, not even in his final moments.'

Bride Says It's ‘Disrespectful' That Sister Wants to Use Late Grandmother's Dress for Self-Marriage

'[My sister] says, 'You're already getting a husband. I just want the dress. This is my only chance to feel that close to Grandma,' ' the bride sharedNEED TO KNOW A bride shared online that she and her sister got into a disagreement over who should wear their late grandmother's wedding dress for their upcoming ceremonies The bride said that she planned to use the dress for her upcoming wedding and already had alterations made, while her younger sister wanted to use it for a "solo commitment ceremony" She said that she told her sister that she would not let her wear the dress as it "felt incredibly disrespectful, not just to me but to the tradition'A bride and her sister got into a tiff over their grandmother's wedding dress. The 28-year-old bride shared on Reddit's 'Wedding Drama' forum that her grandmother, whom she and her 25-year-old sister had been very close with left 'behind a beautiful, vintage ivory' wedding gown that the bride intended to use for her own upcoming nuptials. 'I always dreamed of wearing it, and everyone in the family knew it. Even my grandma would joke, it's yours when the time comes,' she said. 'Well, the time has come. I got it cleaned, had minor alterations done with family approval, and it's ready for my big day,' she added. However, she hit an issue when her 25-year-old sister — who she noted is 'not engaged or in a relationship' — said he was planning to throw a 'solo commitment ceremony,' in which she would 'marry herself,' complete with 'vows,' a 'party, ring, dress' and 'everything.' The bride said he supported her sister's decision — up until she asked for their grandmother's dress. 'She asked if she could wear Grandma's dress for her solo ceremony. I thought she was joking. I laughed. She didn't,' the 28-year-old recalled. 'She says, 'You're already getting a husband. I just want the dress. This is my only chance to feel that close to Grandma,' ' she continued. 'I said 'No.' " 'I didn't want to damage our relationship, but it just felt incredibly disrespectful, not just to me but to the tradition,' she explained. She said following this exchange, her sister stopped 'speaking' to her, and said their mother was trying to stay "neutral" in the situation, but was also 'torn' on what to do. As for her fiancé, she said he was firmly on her side, and said she was 'being way too nice about it.' 'I'm stuck between feeling like I hurt my sister's feelings and being mad that she even asked,' the bride shared, before asking, 'Am I wrong for being protective of this dress? Would anyone else be uncomfortable with this?' Several people noted that if her sister's solo commitment ceremony was after her wedding, then it would be fine. However, if she was asking for it before, they suggested that she tell her sister, 'no.' One person said, 'You already got it altered and ready - accidents happen too so I wouldn't risk it. I would expect her to not want to risk that either and understand even though it kinda sucks.' Another suggested that the bride remind her of the alterations already made and let her know that she did not "feel comfortable' with the dress being out of her possession" until after the wedding. 'Even if she promises to take the utmost care with it, accidents happen and you don't want to even risk the possibility of having to find a last-minute dress,' they added. 'She can marry herself after your wedding. Period," another person wrote. "It's not that difficult, hardly worth the effort of posting a whole comment about it.' This mini projector can project a display ranging from 30 inches to 80 inches. That's bigger than most standard home TVs, and also great for tighter spaces. It's a 720p HD projector, so while the image quality won't exactly be as lifelike, it's still going to be decent for a range of movies and shows. If you're tired of your TV screen locking you into one spot, you'll appreciate how flexible the projector is. Adjust it at an angle or mount it on a wall — the image quality stays consistent, thanks to the autofocus and automatic keystone correction features. Project on the wall, the door, or heck, even the ceiling, without compromising on the visual quality. No extra devices are needed to stream content. The projector runs on Google TV, so access Netflix, Hulu, and over 30,000 other apps to catch your favorite shows. Even better, you can control it hands-free with Google Assistant for added convenience. It also won't abandon you mid-movie. The battery lasts up to 2 hours on a full charge, so unless you're watching The Irishman or something equally long, you should be good. If you use a power bank tripod (sold separately), you can extend that up to 4 hours. Dolby Digital takes care of the sound department by offering balanced audio. It, of course, won't get you the soundbar-level immersive experience, but it's decent for casual viewing. Carrying it around is just as easy.
