Rourkela: The city is basking in glory after two of its daughters scored more than 99% in
CBSE exams

, a commerce student from Delhi Public School (DPS) Rourkela, scored impressive 99.60% in Class XII,
Anwesha Satpathy
of Deepika English Medium School cleared Class X with 99.2% marks.Dhriti scored 498 out of 500, achieving perfect scores in economics, business studies, accountancy and data science.
She lost just two marks in English, scoring 98.This achievement follows her outstanding performance in Class X, where she had topped her school with 98.4% in 2023. Dhriti, who is currently in the United States visiting relatives, was extremely happy.
"I am thrilled with my results and would like to thank my teachers, tutors and parents for their continued support and guidance in enabling my success," she told TOI.Anwesha, who scored 496 out of 500, attributed her success to dedication. "I focused on studying NCERT books and solving previous years' question papers. I studied for six hours daily," said Anwesha, who aspires to join IIT in the future.Daughter of Chitaranjan Satpathy, assistant general manager at RSP's communication engineering department, and home-maker Ruhani, Anwesha maintained a balanced approach to her studies while pursuing her interests like dancing, drawing and reading."My parents, teachers, principal, maternal grandparents, and uncle were my biggest support system during preparations," Anwesha said. "I am extremely happy with Anwesha's performance," said her mother.Academic excellence runs in Dhriti's family, with her elder sister Yashvi also a school topper, scoring 99.6% in science in 2022. Yashvi is currently pursuing MBBS in Australia where Dhriti intends to move to pursue a Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting.Dhriti's parents, Dharmesh and Grishma, both successful entrepreneurs, are elated with their daughter's performance. "We are overwhelmed and delighted. Dhriti has been aptly rewarded for her dedication," said Dharmesh.

The five institutions will focus on different areas. "We want the impact of each MoU to be clearly visible at the grassroots level, and for this, a system of regular monitoring and outcome-based evaluation will be ensured," he said. The department's additional chief secretary, S Siddharth, said Bihar has the highest number of students in the country. "Providing them with quality resources and guidance to thrive in a competitive environment is our priority. The cooperation of these organisations will be a milestone in this direction. New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted a series of surprise inspections in 10 schools across six states and Union Territories (UTs) to check for violations of norms, officials said on Wednesday. "The primary objective of the surprise inspections was to probe, scout out and ascertain whether the schools were functioning in compliance with the Board's norms as per the bye-laws of the Board and are not enrolling non-attending students while maintaining the academic and physical infrastructure in the school. "There were 10 teams, consisting of an officer of the Board and a Principal of a school affiliated with the Board, deployed for conducting the inspections. All of the inspections were executed in a synchronised manner at the same time in a short window to ensure that the surprise element remains intact so as to get accurate information about working and operations of the schools," the official said.
