
Launch of School Bag Project for Children of Martyrs & Missing Persons in Hodeida
The branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families in Al Hodeida province launched on Saturday the School Bag Project for the children of martyrs and missing persons for the year 1447 AH.
The project targets 1,040 male and female students from the families of martyrs and missing persons across various districts of the province. This initiative is part of an annual plan adopted by the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, aimed at alleviating the financial burdens of the academic year on these families , providing a stable and supportive educational environment.
During the launch ceremony, Governor Abdullah Atifi praised the project, which reflects the ongoing commitment to supporting the children of martyrs—the true embodiment of their fathers' sacrifices for the nation. He emphasized that caring for this group is both a moral and national responsibility, integral to the state's duties toward society.
Atifi highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between the Authority, local authorities, and educational institutions to implement more projects that enhance family stability and nurture a confident, educated generation rooted in loyalty and patriotism.
For his part, First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bashri stated that the School Bag Project is a vital initiative that embodies practical recognition of the martyrs' sacrifices. He stressed that such programs go beyond symbolic gestures, directly impacting families' lives and reflecting the leadership's dedication to meeting their essential needs.
He affirmed the local authority's commitment to supporting educational and social programs for the families of martyrs and missing persons, addressing challenges and ensuring true stability for families and society.
During the launch event, attended by Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi, Ali Al-Sha'thami, Director of the General Authority's branch in the province, explained that the School Bag Project is a key component of a comprehensive program aimed at supporting martyrs' children educationally and socially. He reiterated the Authority's commitment to expanding its efforts across various service sectors.
Al-Sha'thami noted that the annual launch of the project demonstrates the Authority's dedication to broadening support and reflects strong community engagement with care initiatives. He also appreciated the contributions of all parties involved in making this initiative a success.

Sana'a University announces opening of Bridging System coordination & admissions
Sana'a - Saba: Sana'a University has announced the opening of coordination and admissions for the Bridging System for students holding Intermediate Diploma or Technical Diploma certificates (two-year or three-year programs) for the 1447 AH / 2025-2026 academic year. In a statement obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the university clarified that the Student Affairs Department has opened applications for the Bridging System for the new academic year, in accordance with the regulations and conditions outlined in Ministerial Decision No. (12) of 1447 AH / 2025. The statement confirmed that coordination and admissions will remain open until Wednesday, Safar 6, 1447 AH (July 31, 2025) at the Student Affairs Department of the university. Sana'a University urged male and female students holding Intermediate or Technical Diplomas (two-year or three-year programs) who wish to continue their higher education through the Bridging System to apply through the Student Affairs Department to complete registration procedures.
