Shares of Maruti Suzuki India will be in focus on Friday after the automaker reported a marginal 0.9% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,792 crore for Q1FY26, compared to Rs 3,760 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 8% YoY to Rs 38,605 crore, up from Rs 35,779 crore a year ago.On a standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 3,712 crore, beating ET NOW's poll estimate of Rs 3,087 crore. Revenue stood at Rs 38,414 crore, above the forecast of Rs 36,288 crore. EBITDA came in at Rs 3,996 crore, compared to an estimate of Rs 3,790 crore.Despite the earnings beat, sequential performance showed some softness. Net sales rose 8% YoY to Rs 36,625 crore. However, operating EBIT declined 19% YoY to Rs 3,058 crore, indicating margin pressure despite revenue growth. The margin decline was attributed to adverse commodity prices, foreign exchange headwinds, increased sales promotion expenses, and new plant-related costs at the Kharkhoda greenfield facility. Segment-wise, domestic sales fell 4.5% YoY to 4,30,889 units, weighed down by a sharp 36.6% drop in Mini segment sales to 19,522 units. Exports, however, rose 37.4% YoY, helping offset weakness in domestic volumes. In its earnings release, the company noted, 'In Quarter 1, the domestic passenger vehicle industry continued to witness a sluggish demand environment. For the company, a decline in domestic sales of 4.5% was compensated by robust export growth, resulting in an overall sales volume increase of 1.1%.'Nuvama raised its target price on Maruti to Rs 14,300 from Rs 13,400 and maintained a 'Buy' rating. It said Q1 EBITDA was in line with expectations and expects a revenue/EBITDA CAGR of 9%/10% over FY25–FY28E. UVs are projected to comprise 41% of domestic volumes by FY27E.Strong export growth is expected through Suzuki and Toyota's global networks. FY27E margin is estimated at 9.9%, translating to an EBITDA per unit of around Rs 84,000.

Rajiv Anand to help realise full potential of IndusInd Bank, says promoter Ashok Hinduja
Synopsis IndusInd Bank promoter Ashok Hinduja has extended full support to newly appointed CEO Rajiv Anand, who will assume charge on August 25. Anand's appointment follows leadership exits and financial setbacks, including a ₹2,329 crore loss in Q4. Hinduja praised the RBI for its swift approval. The bank expects Anand to unveil a long-term strategy as it moves past past issues. Agencies IndusInd Bank promoter Ashok Hinduja on Tuesday said the lender's newly appointed chief executive and managing director, Rajiv Anand, will help realise the full potential of the bank. The promoter grouping will offer "full support" to Anand, Hinduja said. "As the promoter of IndusInd Bank, we offer full support and wish him all success," he said in a statement that comes after the announcement of Anand as the candidate to lead the troubled lender. Several senior executives in IndusInd Bank, including the CEO Sumant Kathpalia, resigned over the last few months, necessitating the new appointment. The bank, which is under an interim management, has owned up to fraud, under-reporting of non-performing assets and other drawbacks, which led it to post a Rs 2,329 crore loss for the March quarter. After it swung back to black in the June quarter, the interim management has assured that there are no problems from the past which are yet to be recognized, and added that the new CEO will come out with a detailed strategy on the medium to long term strategies once he or she joins. "I compliment the regulator for the expeditious approval of the appointment of Rajiv Anand as the MD and CEO at Indusind Bank," Hinduja said. The IndusInd board, basis approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), at its meeting held on August 4 approved the appointment of Rajiv Anand as 'Additional Director' in the category of Managing Director and CEO and Key Managerial Personnel of the bank for three years, IndusInd Bank said in a late evening regulatory filing on Monday. Anand's appointment is for three years, and will be taking over the reins at the troubled lender on August 25. It can be noted that a few years ago, the bank's promoter had received the RBI nod to raise its stake in the bank to 26 per cent from the present level of around 15 per cent. The bank scrip closed 1.90 per cent up at Rs 819.20 a shares on the BSE on Tuesday, as against a 0.38 per cent correction on the benchmark. PTI

Tesla To Open Delhi Showroom On August 11; Check Exact Location
Tesla, the US-based electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to open its second showroom in Delhi on August 11. It follows the inaugural showroom of the brand in India opened in Mumbai's BKC on July 15. The latest dealership of the brand will be located at Worldmark, Aerocity, close to the New Delhi International Airport. Once it begins operations, the carmaker will be able to serve consumers in Delhi and the national capital region. The Tesla Model Y was recently launched in the Indian market. On the same day, the official Indian website for the automaker went live. Initially, customers could only register their vehicles in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Gurugram. However, this has been updated, allowing users to register their cars in any state or union territory across the nation. In simpler terms, prospective buyers can now book and register their Tesla vehicles in their states. Moreover, the website mentions that the on-road prices may differ due to various factors. It also highlights that customers in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram will have priority for deliveries. Once the process is complete, the vehicle will be delivered directly to the consumer's location via a flat-bed truck. Although self-driving features can be obtained in India for Rs 6 lakh, this capability will be rolled out at a later time. The manufacturer has released both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and long-range RWD versions of the car in India. The entry price for the RWD model is Rs 59.89 lakh, while the long-range version is available for Rs 67.89 lakh. Consequently, the on-road cost for the RWD variant totals Rs 61.07 lakh, whereas the on-road price for the long-range version is Rs 69.15 lakh. In India, the rear-wheel drive version of the Tesla Model Y can be opted for with either a 60 kWh or a larger 75 kWh battery pack. The RWD variant features a single electric motor that produces around 295 hp. Furthermore, the 60 kWh battery is claimed to provide a WLTP range of 500 km when fully charged, while the long-range model is said to achieve a range of 622 km.
