The former Porto and Spurs boss has inked a new three-year deal at the City Ground, although you wouldn't have known it if you looked at the Midlands club's website.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Forest had mistakenly stated that Nuno inked an "x-year deal" in their statement announcing the new contract.
A snippet of the club's official statement read: "Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce that Nuno Espírito Santo has signed a new contract with the Club.
"The Forest Head Coach has been handed a new x-year deal by owner Evangelos Marinakis ahead of the 2025/26 campaign."
Nuno, 51, is over the moon to have extended his stay at the City Ground, which is set to host UEFA Conference League football this coming season.
He said: "I am delighted to be able to continue our journey at this fantastic football Club.
'Since we arrived at Forest, we have worked extremely hard to create a special bond between the players, the fans and everyone at the Club, which helped us achieve great things last season.
"I would like to thank our owner, Mr. Marinakis, for his constant support and backing.

"It is important to me to share a strong relationship with our ownership and we have thoroughly enjoyed working together ever since I arrived at Forest.
'Now is the time to work harder than ever as we strive for more special memories together.'
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis sends fans bold Champions League prediction
Marinakis said of the new deal: "Nuno has made a great impact and performed very well during his time with us so far.
'He has demonstrated that he maximises player performance and is an expert at developing players, whilst also embedding our young talent into the first team set-up.
'We enjoy a strong and solid relationship together and, above all, we share the same dream and ambition of writing a new history for Nottingham Forest, competing in the Premier League and in Europe and winning trophies for our great club!'
Forest will kick off their Premier League season on Saturday, August 17, away to Brighton.
The Tricky Trees will play the first leg of their Conference League play-off on August 21.

'Angry' Nicolas Jackson issues grovelling apology after second red card in five games as Chelsea team-mate says 'he needs to improve'

Nicolas Jackson has apologised to Chelsea supporters and admitted he is 'so angry' at himself after picking up a second red card in just over a month. The 24-year-old striker, already suspended domestically following his Premier League dismissal at Newcastle on May 11, lasted only four minutes on the pitch in Philadelphia during Friday's 3-1 defeat by Flamengo at the FIFA Club World Cup. He was shown a straight red card for raking his studs down the shin of Ayrton Lucas — just moments after coming off the bench. It capped a night to forget for Chelsea, who had led early on through Pedro Neto's second goal of the tournament but conceded twice in quick succession to Bruno Henrique and Danilo shortly before Jackson's dismissal. Wallace Yan later wrapped up the victory for Flamengo, leaving Chelsea with work to do going into their final group game against ES Tunis. However, results elsewhere in Group D mean that a draw against the Tunisian side would be enough to see the Blues progress to the round of 16. Jackson took to Instagram after the match to issue a grovelling apology. 'I want to say sorry. To the club, the staff, my teammates, and all the fans watching, I let you down,' he wrote. 'Another red card and honestly, I'm so angry at myself. I work hard every day to help the team not to put us in this kind of situation. 'I still don't fully understand how it happened. But one thing is clear: it wasn't intentional. Just a football moment that went the wrong way. No excuses. I take full responsibility. 'I'll reflect, I'll grow, and I'll come back stronger for the badge and for everyone who believes in me. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.' Chelsea team-mate Marc Cucurella, speaking after the game, described the foul as 'a bit of bad luck' — but admitted Jackson needs to show more maturity. 'He tried to put his foot in to kick the ball but he kicked the player's leg. That's it. We now miss him for the next game,' said the Spaniard. 'He is a young player with a lot of quality and maybe he needs to improve this.' Cucurella also revealed Jackson stood up in the dressing room to apologise to the group, and insisted the forward remains a 'very important player' for Chelsea. Former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel was less forgiving. Speaking on DAZN, he labelled Jackson's challenge a 'stupid, stupid, stupid mistake'. 'I don't know what's going through his head. You come into the game, you're 2-1 down, your team needs you, and you do that,' said Mikel. 'He did it in the important Premier League game against Newcastle, when we needed to win to qualify for the Champions League places, and he's done it again. 'You can't keep making mistakes.' Chelsea boss Maresca refused to be drawn on the incident, saying simply: 'It was a red card, so nothing to say.' Jackson will now be suspended for next week's decisive clash with Tunis. His absence opens the door for Liam Delap — a £32million summer signing from Ipswich Town — to lead the line again.

‘He could come in and hurt us' – Rangers hero Ally McCoist opens up on the potential Celtic signing he fears most

Talk of a huge move for the highly rated youngster has persisted for some time since his Premier League breakthrough. But the 20-year-old's name has remained in the frame for a potential Parkhead loan deal, as well as attracting interest from English giants Arsenal. And Rangers hero Ally McCoist has glowed over the Irishman, speaking about him in Dublin as he took part in a 555-mile charity cycle. He said: 'I'm a fan. Oh aye. 'I want him to get fit. I really like Evan Ferguson and I really want him to get fit and stay fit." He has had a few mostly minor injuries keeping him in and out of the squad, as well as a bigger issue that saw him crocked from April last year to the beginning of the following season. McCoist continued: 'He can finish. Out of all the younger ones coming through, I thought Evan Ferguson was the one to watch. 'Obviously he's got one or two injuries going on that have held him back a bit, but if he keeps himself fit he will score goals anywhere. 'The unfortunate thing for my mob is, he could come in and hurt us. Definitely. "It wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm a big fan.' Ally McCoist confesses to 'horrendous' epic fail ahead of final day of Rangers legend's charity bike ride The ex-Gers player and manager's worry of a prolific derby goalscorer against his side comes as the Celts have struggled in the last few outings. The most recent was a 1-1 draw and the prior two ties ended in victory for the Ibrox side. However Celtic did win the League Cup final on penalties and last year's Scottish Cup final against their bitter rivals. The latter saw just one goal scored late on by Adam Idah, who would possibly fall out of the team if Evan Ferguson were to arrive. But McCoist believes the 24-year-old has done enough to earn praise despite some struggles. He said: 'He's done well. He has scored important goals. 'I think one thing you have got to do as an Old Firm centre forward is, sure, you have to get goals. 'But as an Old Firm centre-forward, you have got to score against Rangers. And if you are a centre-forward for Rangers you have got to score against Celtic. 'You have got to score important goals and Adam Idah has done that.' 'I'll beat the S*** out of you!': Furious Inter Milan star Francesco Acerbi threatens fan in feisty exchange after being taunted over Champions League final defeat by PSG

Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi threatened a fan in a PSG shirt after being taunted about last month's Champions League final. The Serie A side were thrashed 5-0 by Luis Enrique's men in last month's final - the heaviest defeat ever recorded in the final of the competition. During the latter stages of the match, Acerbi was left sprawling after some dazzling footwork by Bradley Barcola - and a fan in Seattle reminded him of the moment. On a video that went viral on social media, the visibly annoyed Italian international sought the help of a translator during a meet-and-greet with fans. The translator told the fan in English on Thursday: 'You must be serious with him.' Seconds later, Acerbi stepped in to say in Italian: 'I´m serious. Don't make fun of me - I don´t like it. ... I´m crazy, I´ll beat the s*** out of you.' 📲🚨 Francesco Acerbi got into a verbal altercation with a PSG fan. 'Don't say 'Acerbi-Barcola', I don't like to be made a fool of. I am crazy and I'll beat the hell out of you.' — Inter Xtra (@Inter_Xtra) June 20, 2025 Acerbi then quickly moved on, posing for photos with other fans. The latest controversy surrounding the 37-year-old comes just weeks after he turned down a call-up for Italy's World Cup qualifiers - accusing Luciano Spalletti, who was later sacked, of disrespecting him. Acerbi posted on social media: 'It's not a decision I have taken lightly. However, I believe that in light of recent events the conditions aren't there today for me to go forward with serenity. I demand respect. If that respect is lacking from those who should lead the group, I prefer to step aside. 'I won't stay where I'm no longer truly wanted and it's clear I'm not part of the coach's project.' Acerbi's Inter will return to action against Japanese side Urawa Reds in their second Club World Cup match on Saturday.
