Michael Jordan reunites with newly sober son aboard $8m yacht as they win $400k prize in fishing's 'Super Bowl'
Marcus, 34 reportedly became estranged from his father amid his own long-term romantic relationship with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Michael's legendary Bulls teammate, Scottie Pippen.
Although that couple would split last year, Marcus was in for more heartache in February when he was arrested for driving under the influence, cocaine possession and resisting arrest.
But with the recent passing of two of his childhood heroes, Hulk Hogan and actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Marcus felt the urge to reconnect with his famous father as he struggled with sobriety.
Last month, Marcus crossed the 100-day threshold by revealing his decision to reach out to both his parents and siblings. And this weekend, a slimmer, healthier-looking Marcus was seen alongside Michael aboard 'Catch 23' as its crew hauled in a 71-pound marlin.
Their prize: $400,000.
The $8million superyacht and its crew celebrated their second-place finish by playing 'Sirius,' which was the Bulls' entrance song during the Jordan era, as they pulled back into Ocean City.
But their 71-pound marlin was bested by a 72-pound specimen caught by angler Dan Gough, who took home a whopping $4.27 million in prize money.
That may sound like an unreasonable amount of money for a fishing tournament, but as angler Jimmy David told COAST TV, the White Marlin Open is the pinnacle of the sport.
'The biggest tournament, people come from all over,' David said to COAST TV. 'Michael Jordan, all kinds of people. I heard they have the Secretary of the Navy over there and all kinds of celebrities. And the best of the best fishing. That's for sure — the Super Bowl.'
The timing of the tournament was perfect for Marcus, who continues to seek support online.
'Went THRU IT yesterday, realizing that 2 icons of my childhood passed this week,' Marcus wrote on Instagram last month.
'Reached out to both my parents & my siblings, cuz life is short and it's important to spend time with the people you love,' he wrote, referring to Michael, the NBA legend's ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, as well as his sister Jasmine and brother Jeffrey.
Marcus said the deaths of Hulk Hogan and Malcolm-Jamal Warner prompted him to reach out
That came after his tumultuous relationship with Larsa Pippen (left) came to an end in 2024
'Caught a SERIOUS case of the "fck it's" & almost had a drink... It was disheartening realizing how the "fun" has been stripped from social media,' he continued in his Instagram message.
'It used to be "OK" to be weird and have opinions on social media, to learn from mistakes publicly. Now it's been so normalized to 'fit' a certain mold or into society 2?
'And people wonder why MFs keep their thoughts to themselves these days... It shouldn't have to be that way. And luckily for me, I have plenty of friends and family who raised me right & love me? But my heart breaks for the people that aren't as fortunate'.

Kansas City Chiefs heiresses Ava and Gracie Hunt flaunt expensive gameday outfits as NFL preseason kicks off
Kansas City Chiefs heiresses Ava and Gracie Hunt are ready for another season of football as they showed off their expensive gameday outfits during the start of the NFL 2025 preseason. The two are known for their enviable wardrobes, which consist of designer labels like Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Chanel. On Saturday, the Chiefs faced off in a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals, which they lost by three points, the final score coming in at 20-17. But even with the loss, the Hunt ladies, whose dad is Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, were excited to get things moving again as they took to their respective Instagram pages to share some snaps from the day. Gracie, 26, started off her carousel by posting a photo of herself standing on the football field. She rocked a red knit set by designer Retrofête, which featured a $198 skirt with white scalloped detailing and gold buttons, along with a matching $198 halter top. Gracie topped off the gameday look with a pair of nude, Rockstud pumps from Valentino, which retail for $1,150. The influencer also included a few snaps with her family taken on the field, including mom Tavia Hunt, who was also decked out in Chiefs red for the game. 'CHIEFS FOOTBALL IS BACK!' Gracie wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. 'Grateful for a new season, the chance to chase dreams, and the beautiful game that brings us all together. Matthew 25:21. What game are you most excited about this season?' her message continued. Gracie's little sister, Ava, 20, who is a sophomore at Southern Methodist University in Texas, also shared snaps from the day on Instagram. She posed on the field wearing what appeared to be a $395 white leather mini dress by designer Alice + Olivia, which she paired with brown wedges. Ava shared similar family photos as her sister, and also included a video of the team warming up on the field. 'Football season is back! How we feelin' Chiefs Kingdom,' she typed in the caption. Last year, the team made it to the Super Bowl for the third year in a row, but ultimately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. They took home the Lombardi trophy in 2024 and 2023. Gracie sported a pair of Valentino heels over $1,000 and a knit red halter top by designer Retrofête The team's star tight end is Travis Kelce, who is dating superstar Taylor Swift. Ava and Gracie come from a prominent family that is worth an estimated $20.5 billion, according to Forbes, and enjoy quite the opulent lifestyle that would give many A-listers a run for their money. Last year, Ava showcased some of the many pluses to her dad owning the Kansas City team - getting to mingle with pop sensation Taylor. Ava posted a picture that showed her and the Cruel Summer songstress posing together at the Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The blonde beauties, both decked out in Chiefs gear, pressed their heads together as they smiled up at the camera. Taylor draped her arm lovingly over Ava's shoulder and clutched onto an enormous purple gift in her other hand, which contained a note that said, 'To: Taylor. From: The Hunt Family.' The sweet snap quickly went viral and only launched Ava even further into social media stardom.

Hulk Hogan's ex-wife pays tribute to late wrestler on his birthday
Tributes to Hulk Hogan on what would have been his 72nd birthday have come from fans and media - but also his family, despite estrangement and struggles while he was alive. She told TMZ that the picture was taken during their first birthday celebration as a couple. The snap was taken when they were both living in Santa Monica, California at the time and they were testing out a new camera the wrestling superstar bought for her. Hogan passed away from a heart attack on July 24 - roughly two-and-a-half weeks before his birthday. Before his passing, Linda admitted that the family was going through some issues - blaming Hulk, real name Terry Bollea, for putting them in 'the worst mess'. However, right before his passing, Brooke was able to reach out to her father and briefly spoke to him one final time . 'It was a tearful conversation, albeit a short one,' an insider told the National Enquirer.
