Man jailed for toddler train murder bid at Glasgow station
The High Court in Glasgow heard that he was deemed to have an "adjustment disorder", but was not at a level which absolved him of being criminally responsible.The case had previously been described by the judge as a "murder suicide".Sentencing Danquah, Tony Kelly said he had read an emotional impact statement from the boy's mother.He told him: "You endangered the life of the boy, You intended to take his life."You meant to have his mother to attend his funeral."
Jurors heard how Danquah had struggled to accept his relationship with his partner was over and that they had continued to live together.They also heard that the ex-partner had discussed a new relationship she was in and had made it clear they were not getting back together.On the day of the incident, 2 July 2023, Danquah had collected the child from another address in the city and posted a message on Facebook saying he could not "continue to live in this darkness".He was spotted carrying the boy as he tried to climb over fence of a bridge in Anderston overlooking M8 motorway.He was spoken to by a police officer and allowed to leave the area.Danquah then went on to Garrowhill station where he, carrying the child, stepped in front of a train pulling into the station at about 19:20.The child suffered grazes or bruises on the forehead, head, back, face and nose - and was described as looking shocked in the hospital.Danquah sustained fractures to his lower spine and his jaw.After the incident, Danquah was held at a mental health clinic in Glasgow before being discharged.Gary Allan KC, defending, said what happened was "wholly out of character".Ch Insp Marc Francey said the child was now doing well, though officers could have "easily been looking at a very different investigation".The British Transport Police officer added: "Danquah's actions that day were incomprehensible. "He deliberately put a young child's life in extreme danger and it is only through sheer luck that he wasn't seriously injured or killed."

During a recent appearance on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, Khan claimed that it may be your own fault if you get cheated on for ignoring obvious warning signs. You would've caught some sign that this person is capable of deeper lies.' Khan then claimed that you don't even need evidence to catch somebody being unfaithful. 'Some cheaters will say, "Well you can't prove anything!" Cheaters will always want you to catch them red-handed. You should say, "I don't need red-handed evidence. I can see your behaviour isn't treating me right",' she said. Khan said that the best way to catch a cheater is to 'know your partner better than they know themselves', and that way you'll be in tune with any concerning changes in their behavior. 'If you pay close attention to your partner then it's quite difficult for them to live a whole double life without you catching on,' she explained. Earlier this year, Khan, who boasts over a million followers on social media, said that men get cheated on because 'they don't understand female psychology'. She went on to say that a lot of men who are cheated on were most likely raised by their mothers. 'They tend to think that their mother's advice is the key,' she said. 'They teach you to be kind, they teach you to listen to them, they teach you not to talk back, not to answer back, never to question them,' she continued. 'They train you into becoming this really good boy who's really obedient and all of these things are desexualizing. All of these things are what moms want from boys, from their sons, but it's definitely not what women want from their partners.' Khan then said that men need to be more assertive in their relationships rather than taking the laid back approach. 'We want a man that's fearless. So if you're a man that's afraid of flying, afraid of heights, afraid of confrontation, afraid, afraid, afraid, automatically she's less attracted,' said Khan. 'We like some protective jealousy - they care about you, so they worry about you,' she continued. 'So whenever a man comes to me who's been cheated on, he'll tell me, "I never stopped her from doing anything. I allowed to go on holidays whenever she wanted, I allowed her to come home whenever she wanted, she could post whatever she wanted on Instagram and she still cheated on me!" 'And I say to them, "duh!"' Khan finished. Khan, who bills herself as both a psychologist and a relationship coach, has built up a huge following online for her no-holds-barred advice. She's well known for her brutal dating tips, and even offers a pricey 'high value man' course that teaches men how to be more confident and charismatic. Researchers previously found that women are unfaithful because they want 'good genes' for their offspring, known as 'dual-mating theory.' Women tend to seek out more attractive affair partners for their genetic material, but stay with a long-term mate who would make a better parent, according to a study. However, some participants reported straying out of boredom or a lack of investment from their current partner, saying they simply wanted to have their cake and eat it too. The study was conducted by Australian and UK researchers who surveyed 254 heterosexual people, 116 of whom were women, and asked them to measure their physical physical, personal and parental attraction to both partners.

Mom wrote heartrending note after son, 4, vanished...then cops discovered her horrifying secret
A mother stuffed her young son's body into a bag and buried it in a shallow grave then falsely reported him lost in the woods, police allege. Jaden Spicer, 10, was reported missing from his home on Panbowl Branch Road in the tiny Kentucky town of Jackson on the morning of August 6. His parents said they hadn't seen him since about 9pm and believed he wandered off during the night or early in the morning. Jaden was last seen wearing blue Sonic the Hedgehog pajama pants and a matching shirt and his mother desperately appealed for help to find him. 'We love Jaden and we want him safe at home... We love him very much, please do the right thing, call the police,' Jaden's mother Felicia Gross wrote. Police scoured the woods and surrounding area for days using aircraft, drones, dogs, and sonar, as Gross' story began to unravel. Jaden's aunts said the story of his disappearance 'didn't add up' as the boy didn't like insects or the dark and wouldn't go blundering through the woods. Finally, after almost a week, Gross cracked on Tuesday and allegedly confessed to police that her son was dead and his disappearance was a ruse. 'She confessed to providing Jayden a type of sleeping medication,' Kentucky State Police alleged in charging documents. 'Ms Gross further stated that this medication caused Jayden to have a medical emergency and she believed that he had passed away from this medical emergency.' Gross then led police to where she allegedly buried her son, and his body was found in a shallow grave about 19 miles from the family home about 3pm on Tuesday. 'Ms Gross further stated in the interview that she had transported Jayden's body to a wooded area on Canoe Road near the mouth of Joe Little Fork,' police alleged. 'A search warrant was prepared and executed on this property and Jayden's remains were located buried underground in a plastic tote.' Detectives alleged Gross enlisted Jaden's siblings into backing up their story when two of them were interviewed during the investigation. 'Ms Gross admitted to 'coaching' the siblings into what to say during the interview,' the documents alleged. Gross was charged with second-degree manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, evidence tampering, and falsely reporting an incident and locked up in the Kentucky River Regional Jail. Gross was arrested after allegedly confessing her role in Jaden's death An autopsy will be performed on Jaden's body to confirm his cause of death. 'I would like to take a moment to thank the many different organizations that assisted in the search efforts for Jaden,' Trooper Matt Gayheart said. 'All of the volunteers that spent numerous hours and days trying to locate him. Thank you to every person that sent tips or even shared a social media post. 'Thank you for the many prayers that were prayed, and we ask that you continue to pray for a community that grieves during this tragic loss.' Commonwealth's Attorney Miranda King will prosecute Gross on the serious charges against her. 'While this is not the outcome that we had hoped for, we certainly are grateful that we were able to bring him out of the woods today,' she said. 'I would like to assure the public that now, thanks to these guys, Jayden is now in good hands, and we're gonna take care of him.'
