Battlefield 6 Rush mode new change explained
Image via Electronic Arts. Battlefield 6 open beta second weekend is here and since the beginning of it, the game saw a massive surge of players. The game has already peaked at a total of 408,754 players in the last 24 hours. The main reason behind this continuous outbreak is surely the brand new features in the second open beta weekend. Over half-a-million players played this game in the previous weekend, but most of them have come up again to try out the new modes, maps, and rewards. Among all the new stuff, the highly awaited Rush mode has gone through a change, just after being launched a day ago. Battlefield 6 implements new changes to the Rush mode Rush is one of the most popular game modes in the history of the Battlefield franchise. Its absence played a major part in the disastrous performance of Battlefield 2042. However, DICE didn't take any risk this time, as this fan-favorite game mode has recently been added in Battlefield 6 with the launch of its second open beta weekend. However, instead of being super happy, fans became a bit disappointed seeing the new version of their favorite Rush mode. Yes, BF6's Rush mode was a lot different than the ones in the previous installments. That is why, to bring back the old vibe, the developers have imposed a change that might fancy the Battlefield veterans. In Rush, a team of Defenders stop the Attackers from destroying some M-COM military communication stations by detonating bombs. This bomb takes some time to explode after being planted on the site. Now, initially this countdown felt way too long for the Battlefield 6 fans. That is why the developers have reduced that countdown timer from 45 seconds to 30 seconds. However, the game still lacks a lot of classic characteristics which DICE needs to change at any cost. For instance, previously the Rush mode used to feature 32 players in each team. But now it has become a 12vs12 game mode, which might be annoying for the OG Battlefield fans. Not only that, the new Rush mode feels cramped and results in chaotic engagement, whereas the traditional mode had thoughtful spacing between objectives and offered multiple strategies. But the developers have assured the fans that they will continue to monitor all the requests. So, fans can expect more highly wanted changes for sure, at least when it gets released on October 10, 2025. Read More: How can PS5 players earn an exclusive skin in Battlefield 6 Beta?
