Brad Pitt is heading back to Abu Dhabi as his new Formula 1 film gets set for its regional premiere on June 25th, 2025—one day ahead of its official Middle East release.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski ('Top Gun: Maverick') and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and seven-time F1 champion Sir Lewis Hamilton, 'F1 The Movie' stars Pitt as a fictional former driver, Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport after a career-ending crash. He's joined by Damson Idris, who plays a rising rookie teammate.
The Apple Original Films production was partly shot at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with scenes also filmed at Yas Marina Circuit and Zayed International Airport. Christopher McQuarrie Shares "Top Gun 3" Story Update: 'It's Already in the Bag"
Yara Sameh Christopher McQuarrie provided an update on "Top Gun 3". In a recent conversation on ' Happy Sad Confused ' podcast, Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote and produced 'Top Gun: Maverick,' said he has the story nailed down for 'Top Gun 3.' When asked if 'Top Gun 3' was more difficult to "crack' than 'Top Gun: Maverick,' McQuarrie said, 'No, it's already in the bag.' 'It wasn't hard,' he noted. 'I thought it would be, and that's a good place to go from as you walk into the room going, 'Come on, what are we going to do?' And Ehren Kruger pitched something and I went, 'Mhm actually,' and we had one conversation about it and the framework is there. So, no, it's not hard to crack. The truth of the matter is, none of these are hard to crack.' 'It's as you start to execute it, and as you start to interrogate it, as you start [to think] why these movies are made the way they are,' McQuarrie continued. 'It's not the action, it's not even the level of or intensity of or the scope and scale of the action [or] the engineering around the action, it's none of those things — it's the emotion.' This isn't the first time the threequel has been teased by franchise talent. Earlier in May, Tom Cruise said he is actively working on not only 'Top Gun 3,' but also a sequel to 'Days of Thunder.' 'Yeah, we're thinking and talking about many different stories and what could we do and what's possible,' Cruise said. 'It took me 35 years to figure out 'Top Gun: Maverick', so all of these things we're working on, we're discussing 'Days of Thunder' and 'Top Gun: Maverick.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies
