Blake Lively asks judge to BLOCK Justin Baldoni from involving Taylor Swift in legal battle
's legal team to drag
into their escalating courtroom dispute, Peple reports. Calling previous efforts to subpoena the pop superstar a 'publicity stunt' with no legal relevance, a a motion was filed on Friday by Lively's attorneys requesting the court block discovery of any communications between Lively and Swift.

In the motion, the actress' attorney Esra Hudson stated, 'Ms. Swift is not mentioned a single time in Ms. Lively's amended complaint.'
The team also argued that Baldoni's team is 'using Ms. Swift's name to generate tabloid fodder' rather than pursuing legitimate legal claims.
The move comes after Baldoni's attorneys previously subpoenaed Swift and her legal team for text messages and other communications related to the production of It Ends With Usr.
Swift's attorney Doug Baldridge objected to what he described as an 'unwarranted fishing expedition,' and the subpoenas were later withdrawn.
Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman had previously cited an unnamed source who claimed Lively told Swift to delete their text messages—an allegation the judge later struck from the record for being irrelevant and unsubstantiated.
At the time, Baldoni's team claimed they had 'got exactly what they were seeking,' implying they had received some form of cooperation.
However, Lively's attorneys submitted an email from Baldridge that appears to contradict that claim. 'No documents are being produced and no deposition is being scheduled,' Baldridge wrote.
Lively's legal team is reportedly looking to shut the door on Swift's name being mentioned in the proceedings again. 'The only allegations in this action that were ever remotely relevant to Ms. Swift were in the Wayfarer Parties' now dismissed complaint,' Hudson emphasized in Friday's motion.

The attempt to involve Swift has raised eyebrows, particularly after a portion of Baldoni's now-dismissed defamation and extortion lawsuit referenced Swift's alleged support of Lively in a creative dispute over the film. The complaint claimed Lively had once called Swift one of her 'dragons'.
Judge Lewis J. Liman threw out Baldoni's $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband,
earlier this week.

Taylor Swift's fans are excited about all the sourdough Easter eggs
Swifties are once again putting their detective hats on and this time, they're convinced Taylor Swift is baking more than bread. They believe that subtle hints dropped during her latest public appearance point toward her headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. This album cover image released by Republic Records shows "The Life of a Showgirl" by Taylor Swift. (Republic Records via AP)(AP) The theory began brewing after Swift appeared on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, and the episode turned into a goldmine of supposed Easter eggs. ALSO READ| Chiefs video reaction to Taylor Swift Travis Kelce podcast goes viral- Watch For Swifties, nothing is accidental Swift and the Kelce brothers spent a surprising amount of time chatting about one very specific topic: sourdough bread. Next year's Super Bowl 60 will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, home to the San Francisco 49ers. Their mascot? None other than Sourdough Sam, a miner character who also happens to share a name with Swift's latest obsession. 'I now talk about sourdough 60% of the time,' Swift joked on the podcast. The number instantly sent her followers into a frenzy Super Bowl 60, sourdough at Levi's Stadium, and now Swift's playful comment about '60%.' To Swifties, it was all but confirmation that their favorite superstar is already warming up to take the stage in February 2026. So if Swifties' theory proves true, the Grammy Award winner would be the first halftime show headliner outside the worlds of R&B and hip-hop since 2020, when Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed together. Why Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson Are Upset With Taylor Swift's The Life Of A Showgirl
Britney Spears believes Taylor Swift's look on the album cover mirrors her iconic 2001 Dream Within a Dream tour costume. Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, sent her fans into a frenzy but not everyone in Hollywood is applauding. While fans are excited for Swift's 12th studio album release on October 3, Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson are reportedly unhappy with her new era. The reason? Both feel that Swift's bold visuals and costumes borrow heavily from their own iconic looks without giving them the credit they deserve. According to a Radar Online insider, Britney Spears believes Taylor Swift's look on the album cover mirrors her iconic 2001 Dream Within a Dream tour costume. On the album cover, Swift sports a rhinestone bra, fringed armbands and a jewel-encrusted nude thong, which is strikingly similar to Britney's Bob Mackie-designed outfit from the early 2000s. Britney Spears Feels Taylor Swift Crossed Line 'She even feels she should have a credit in the liner notes," the source claimed, adding that Britney feels 'ripped off.". 'Britney worked with Bob Mackie on that outfit; it's pop history. To see it repackaged without so much as a nod feels wrong." Britney Spears feels Swift crossed the line by imitating a specific look without any acknowledgement. Pamela Anderson Sees Parallels Pamela Anderson, fresh off her Hollywood return in Naked Gun, has also raised eyebrows at Swift's aesthetic choices. Sources close to Anderson say the Cruel Summer hitmaker's visuals for The Life of a Showgirl have an uncanny resemblance to her 2024 film The Last Showgirl. From the vibrant orange and pink palette to the retro Vegas vibe, Anderson reportedly sees too many parallels between the album's visuals and her own outfits. A source explained, 'Pamela put her heart into The Last Showgirl. The colours, the vintage Vegas feel—it's all over Taylor's new visuals." They added, 'Pam isn't upset by the inspiration, but she believes recognition is deserved. Credits in the liner notes for her and Britney would be the classy thing to do." Taylor Swift's Bold New Era Taylor Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, calling it 'exuberant, electric, and vibrant." The album will see her reunite with producers Max Martin and Shellback and will also feature Sabrina Carpenter in the final song. One of the most talked-about album images shows Swift in a bathtub. While some called it a sultry shot, the singer explained it actually represents her post-show routine. According to Page Six, Travis Kelce inspired the new era, giving Taylor Swift the confidence to explore a bolder, sexier image. Meanwhile, The Life Of A Showgirl is set to drop on October 3. view comments First Published: August 20, 2025, 11:45 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
