Malcolm Jenkins, Bucko Kilroy to enter Eagles Hall of Fame
Safety Malcolm Jenkins and two-way lineman Bucko Kilroy are this year's choices. They will be enshrined at halftime of the Eagles' Black Friday home game against the Bears on November 28.
Jenkins joined the Eagles as a free agent in 2014 and spent the next six years with the team. He helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LII and made three Pro Bowls while compiling 515 tackles, 11 interceptions, four interception returns for touchdowns, 12 forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries as a member of the team.
Kilroy played for the Steagles — the Steelers and Eagles joined forces due to World War II player shortages — in 1943 and remained with the Eagles through the 1955 season. The Eagles won NFL titles in 1948 and 1949 and was voted to the league's All-Decade team for the 1940s. Kilroy went on to become a scout for several teams, including the Cowboys in the late 1960s, and was the General Manager of the Patriots from 1983-1993. He remained with the Patriots in the scouting department until shortly before his death in 2007 and is credited with helping to start the modern draft earlier in his career.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen have looked the part in practices
The interior defensive line of the Vikings was an issue at times in 2024. While Harrison Phillips was a reliable piece, he needed some help. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah recognized that, and the team went out and signed two bulls who play in the trenches of the defense. Fast forward from free agency to the present, and both Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave are making impacts early. In a mailbag piece put together by The Star Tribune's Vikings writers, Mark Craig was asked how the new faces on the defensive line have looked in camp. His answer not only speaks to the success they are having, but also to how high the potential is for the group with their presence. Craig writes, "They've looked outstanding and long overdue to a unit that's been lacking in elite, run-and-pass-defending talent for some time. Even better is they've also looked healthy and available every day a year after both of them missed significant time with injuries. . .Look at the world-champion Eagles and their Mahomes-pounding D-line depth as the template for what the Vikings, and many others, are trying to replicate. . ." The depth along the edge rusher and defensive line positions has been something the Eagles have found success with in their two recent Super Bowl wins. The more depth you have, the easier it is to overwhelm opposing offensive lines, who cannot rotate players in and out. Brian Flores should have a good time utilizing both Hargrave and Allen this year and beyond in the Vikings defense.

Jalen Hurts finds time for reflection and renewed self-confidence
Very rarely will you hear Jalen Hurts talk this much about anything. Confidence as described by #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.. How can you not love this guy? Sometimes, there is this urge to pick on Philadelphia Eagles fans and the local media. Maybe not all of them, but some of them can undoubtedly get that smoke. Not everyone is guilty of this, but this has to be said. Remember when Donovan McNabb played that 'air guitar' on his way to the field in his final appearance with the franchise? Remember how annoyed everyone was. That same contingent that criticized him is the same collective that criticizes Jalen Hurts for his stoicism. What more do people want? This is a guy who has crafted a 46-20 regular-season record while winning six of his nine postseason starts. This is also the guy who outplayed Patrick Mahomes on the game's biggest stage twice, winning one of those Super Bowls by a landslide. There comes a time when one comes to grips with the truth. Jalen Hurts could win three more Super Bowls. People will still complain. Sure, we realize some of these theories come from the national media as well, but fortunately, Hurts "had a purpose before anyone had an opinion". Yes... Take that, haters! Jalen Hurts opens up and shares the source of some newfound confidence Jalen Hurts was truly built for a city like Philadelphia. While others shrink under the pressure, he thrives in it. All the while, he remains humble while 'keeping the main thing the main thing'. This is a guy who was chosen by the greatest NBA player of all time, Michael Jordan, to be the NFL's ambassador of one of the world's top athletic brands. Most guys would do anything to play at one of college football's most iconic programs. Jalen Hurts has played for two of them. Kudos to this guy for remaining level-headed. We've never been part of a Super Bowl-winning roster, but we imagine it's pretty cool. On whether that has led to a confidence boost, Hurts offered the following response. Hurts may sound like someone with 40 years of life experiences to share, but he is still 27 years old. Think about that for a second. His story is still being written. His legacy is still being defined. Perhaps rather than complain, if some of you take some time to sit back and enjoy this, you may discover that you are enjoying the ride.

Saints Play of the Day: Lance Moore's 24-yard playoffs TD against the Eagles
There are 24 days to go until the New Orleans Saints kick off their 2025 regular season, and we're turning the clock back to January 2014 for today's highlight. Lance Moore's 24-yard touchdown catch against the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2013 Wild Card Round is the Saints Play of the Day. Moore helped knock out the Eagles and win the Saints' first road playoff game with this score, which you can watch here. This victory dispelled a couple of narratives that had dogged the Saints for years. They were characterized as a team that couldn't win away from the Superdome, or even outdoors, especially in poor weather. So imagine their doubters' surprise when the Saints took the field on a cold, windy night in Philadelphia and left with a win. Drew Brees rolled out and away from the Eagles pass rush to find Moore in the middle of the field, lobbing a quick pass to one of his favorite receivers. Moore cut upfield and fought his way through an Eagles defender to crash into the end zone, extending the Saints' lead to 13-7. They weren't out of the woods yet. The Eagles passing attack woke up when star cornerback Keenan Lewis was pulled from the game with an injury, and a late Zach Ertz touchdown pass from Nick Foles gave Philly a 24-23 lead in the final five minutes. But the Saints didn't let Foles touch the football again. Helped by a good return from Darren Sproles and a horse collar tackle against the Eagles, Brees set up shop near midfield at the opposing 48-yard line. Khiry Robinson helped move the ball further into Eagles territory and Brees converted a pair of first downs in short-yardage situations, forcing Philly to burn their last timeouts. Shayne Graham kicked a 32-yard field goal as time expired and the Saints advanced to the next round, having made a new chapter in team history.
