Another blow for struggling car brand as it's forced to recall 14,000 motors over ‘confusing headlight malfunction'
The recall concerns a headlight malfunction which could cause confusion for oncoming drivers.

The recall
As a result, Nissan has recalled 13,719 of the faulty cars.
It affects its 2025 Frontier model - a midsize pickup truck.
New regulations mean that modern cars have to run the front lights even during the daytime.
However, a software issue has left the Nissan trucks with its two front lights dimmed.
The company told The Daily Mail that the lights become dim when the start-stop function occurs, usually at a red light or in traffic.
It led to concern that it might confuse oncoming drivers or pedestrians, "increasing the risk of a crash".
What you need to do?
Thankfully the recall has a relatively easy fix.
Drivers just need to bring their car into a dealership where they will receive a free computer update.
A notice will be issued to customers in the post in mid-September.
Sales of the car have slowed this year, with a 23 per cent decline from last year's reports.
Nissan's ongoing problems
Nissan has been facing a number of ongoing issues, with concerns that the brand could collapse.
With a $4.5 billion net loss over the last financial year, and around $4.8 billion debt, the motor company has been desperately looking for solutions.
A potential merger with Honda earlier this year fell through.
As part of a restructuring plan, a number of its production plants are set to close, potentially affecting thousands of employees.
Amidst the financial issues, the company has also issued six recalls this year alone.
Over 440,000 cars were recalled in the US over concerns of engine failure.
A manufacturing defect could increase the likelihood of engine damage or failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall includes the 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50 and 2022 Infiniti QX55.
All vehicles have either a three-cylinder, 1.5 litre or four-cylinder, two litre variable compression turbo engine.
Drivers could take their cars into a dealership for inspection and repair if needed.

Six Flags' slow summer leads to $100 million in losses as investors launch an investigation into ‘fraud' at parks
After a slow summer for thrill seekers — and $100 million total losses — Six Flags investors have launched an investigation into fraud at the theme park. Los Angeles-based Schall Law Firm says it is investigating whether Six Flags issued false or misleading statements or failed to disclose information pertinent to investors. The lawsuit comes as the amusement park announced its second-quarter financial results earlier this month, which included a devastating $100 million net loss and the news that CEO Richard Zimmerman would step down by the end of the year. Shares were also down 47 percent year to date, according to Morning Brew. While the park's profits plummeted, Six Flags also reported a seven-figure drop in visitors. The park also saw 1.4 million fewer visitors during the second quarter. Despite the North Carolina-based park's losses this year, its competitors, including Disney and Universal, weren't facing similar struggles. Revenue at Disney's domestic parks rose 10 percent year over year in its most recent quarter, and Universal recently opened its $7 billion Epic Universe theme park, according to Morning Brew. Six Flags has made some efforts to turn its financial troubles around, including announcing it would close a park in Maryland and sell the land. Even still, the company recently laid off hundreds of full-time staff following its 2024 acquisition of Cedar Fair, the entertainment company responsible for Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. Schall Law Firm, a national shareholder rights litigation firm, is inviting investors of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation to join the lawsuit. Six Flags did not immediately return The Independent's request for comment on the case, but recently blamed the decrease in visitors on several parks removing winter events and adverse summer weather. "July was a turning point as weather normalized and guests had a chance to experience our new rides and other attractions," a Six Flags spokesperson told Chron. "We're seeing a surge in demand for our parks, and sales of season passes and memberships are climbing fast. While we know we have ground to make up from a tough May and June, these results send a clear message: when the gates are open and the product is strong, people will visit."

Orlando Pride sign Ovalle for £1.1m record fee
Orlando Pride have made Lizbeth Ovalle the most expensive signing in women's football history by signing the Mexico winger from Tigres UANL in a deal worth $1.5m (£1.1m). "I'm coming with the clear objective of winning titles and leaving a mark with the club," Ovalle said. "I'm ready to give it my all and help the Pride continue to be a leading team." Pride owner and chairman Mark Wilf said Ovalle "is a world-class talent and a proven winner, and her arrival in Orlando marks another step on our journey to position the Pride among the elite clubs in global women's soccer". Ovalle began her career at Tigres in 2017 and has helped them win six league titles and leaves the Mexican club as their all-time leading scorer.
