Kanpur schools get safety guidelines amid rainy season
Singh specifically instructed district inspector of schools Santosh Kumar Rai and district basic education officer Surjeet Kumar Singh that students must not, under any circumstances, be made to sit in dilapidated or unsafe classrooms. The DM further directed that, in cases where safe rooms are not available within the school, after obtaining the necessary approval from the competent authority, students should be temporarily transferred to a nearby school, and proper arrangements should be made for teaching and learning.
A list detailing repairs required for the dilapidated rooms of the Parishad schools is to be promptly provided to the district construction coordinator via the block education officer.
The managers and principals of non-government aided secondary schools have been instructed to conduct thorough inspections of their school buildings. Any unsafe rooms are to be identified, marked with a red 'X,' declared unusable, and barricaded.

Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has deployed 10 Quick Response Teams (QRTs) in localities identified by the health department as needing urgent attention. These teams will operate daily from 9am to 6pm and serve as a rapid-response arm of the sanitation department. While core areas such as Alpha, Beta, and Gamma sectors already have sanitation workers engaged through contractors, officials said there are several newer sectors and commercial pockets where the Authority is yet to appoint dedicated sanitation staff. The QRTs will focus on these under-served areas but can also be deployed elsewhere based on emerging requirements. To ensure visibility and accountability, team members will wear jackets displaying their team numbers, and vehicles will carry QRT identifiers. All vehicles are GPS-enabled for real-time tracking, and a dedicated control room has been set up to monitor operations. GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar said the initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance livability in Greater Noida. "A four-member committee has been formed to monitor the teams' performance. The QRTs have also been empowered to impose fines on individuals violating solid waste norms," he said. The QRT Control Committee will be chaired by Bharti and include senior manager Rajesh Kumar Gautam, manager Bijendra Kushwaha, and assistant manager Manoj Kumar Chaudhary. The committee will handle team deployment and respond to public complaints, ensuring swift redressal of sanitation issues. Jaipur: The state forest department is set to airlift tigers from Madhya Pradesh in a phased interstate relocation, beginning in October and expected to conclude by December. This will be Rajasthan's second helicopter-based tiger translocation, but the first to be done interstate. The first took place successfully in 2008, when a male tiger was flown by helicopter from Ranthambore National Park to Sariska Tiger Reserve. However, that operation was not interstate. The decision was taken during a meeting held on Wednesday at the Parliament House office in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union minister for environment and forests Bhupender Yadav, and senior forest officials, including Anand Kumar, additional chief secretary of the forest department, and chief wildlife warden Shikha Mehra. A state official said, "Seven tigers—including both males and females—will be translocated to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in Kota and Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Bundi." Officials also confirmed that all necessary preparations for the tiger translocation are underway. One official added, "Given the distance and challenging landscape, helicopters will be used for the translocation."
