Indian Navy participates in Passage Exercise with UK Carrier Strike Group in the North Arabian Sea

Earlier the Indian Navy delegation, led by Rear Admiral Shantanu Jha, NM, participated in the 10th Navy-to-Navy Staff Talks with the Royal Malaysian Navy held in Kuala Lumpur on June 10.
The Royal Malaysian Navy delegation was led by First Admiral Harisundar Rajoo, Senior Director, Operations and Training. During the talks, both sides discussed ongoing bilateral naval engagements and outlined plans for future collaborative activities.

In parallel to the naval dialogue in Kuala Lumpur, India also expanded its diplomatic outreach in the region. Secretary (East) P Kumaran met Permanent Secretary, Brunei Darussalam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hajah Johariah Binti Abdul Wahab, on the sidelines of East Asia Summit Senior Officials' Meeting (EAS SOM) in Malaysia's Penang on Tuesday. Philippines slams AI-generated YouTube clip on Sabah stand-off with Royal Malaysian Navy, calls it ‘entirely fabricated'
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 — The Armed Forces of the Philippines has criticised a YouTube video spreading disinformation over an alleged stand-off with the Royal Malaysian Navy over contested Sabah waters and fishing rights. It had accused the 12-minute YouTube video by a little-known channel known as 'InfoSpark Hub' of being fabricated, aimed at worsening the relationship between the two neighbours. 'This is entirely fabricated – no such incident occurred,' it said in a statement as reported by Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post (SCMP). 'It intends to strain our 60-year diplomatic ties with Malaysia, erode public trust in the [armed forces], and provoke unnecessary tensions.' The video had used artificial intelligence-generated images and alleged that patrol corvette BRP Magat Salamat was blocked by its Malaysian counterpart KD Pahang on Monday, ending only after tense negotiations. The video also cited renewed tensions over Malaysia's November protest against Philippine laws claiming Sabah, an issue dating back to the 1963 annexation by the United Kingdom despite protests from the Sultanate of Sulu. The YouTube channel has around 3,000 followers, and was only started in June 13 this year. Its other videos were similarly themed on Southeast Asian geopolitics, with eight out of 10 most popular ones commenting on the Philippines. SCMP quoted the Philippine Navy saying on Monday it was actually vessel BRP Antonio Luna that arrived in Malaysia on Saturday for the 3rd Asean Multilateral Naval Exercise hosted by the Royal Malaysian Navy in Penang from Friday to August 22. It said the exercise aims to 'strengthen collaboration and mutual understanding among Asean navies through harbour activities and a series of at-sea exercises addressing maritime security challenges'. A separate bilateral exercise with Malaysian sailors will be held from August 25 to 29 to 'further enhance maritime security cooperation through joint planning, navigation, and tactical engagements at sea'. 'This deployment represents more than a routine operational task,' the Philippine Navy's vice-commander Major General Edwin Amadar was quoted saying. 'It is the expression of the Philippine Navy's unwavering commitment to fostering regional maritime cooperation, advancing interoperability with our partner navies, and contributing to the collective pursuit of peace, stability, and security in the maritime domain.' SCMP quoted digital creator Jon Limjap claiming the clip was 'Chinese propaganda running full throttle to save face from the Chinese boat collisions', while Australia-based defence and security analyst Max Montero pointed out how 'the information warfare is getting intensified'.

She further said that one should 'now join the dots,' on how the 'heroic women' who were the face of Operation Sindoor are being used as entertainment. 'Our heroic women in Uniform who went on to become the face of Operation Sindoor have been invited by a private entertainment channel on their show. This private entertainment channel's parent company Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has also bagged the broadcasting rights of the Asia Cup till 2031. Yes the very channel that seeks to earn revenue through India vs Pakistan cricket matches. Now join the dots,' Chaturvedi wrote in a post on X. Earlier, in July 31, the UBT leader had raised the issue of India continuing to play cricket matches with Pakistan in Parliament. She said that the Union Minister can stop the match by calling the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah, who is the home minister's son, to stop the match, saying that if the matchers are stopped then it would be a 'victory for Operation Sindoor'. 'I am telling the home Minister, that sir, you will not have to call anywhere, if you tell the ICC chairman (Jay Shah) to stop the India Pakistan match, then the match would not happen, this would be a victory for our Operation Sindoor,' Chaturvedi said in Parliament. Again on July 29, Chaturvedi had also slammed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for continuing the Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan, saying 'If this match happens then it is not just the failure of the government, it is also the failure of BCCI that on one hand today is Kargil Day, today we remember our armed forces and pay tribute to those who died fighting for the country, and on the same day the Interior Minister of Pakistan who is the president of PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) announces that Asia Cup is going to be held in UAE.' Singapore ministerial delegation arrives in Delhi for India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable
New Delhi [India], August 13 (ANI): Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, Finance Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and a Ministerial delegation from Singapore arrived in New Delhi for the 3rd India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) on Wednesday. Sharing pictures of the Singapore leaders' arrival, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on X, 'A warm welcome to DPM Mr. Gan Kim Yong, FM @VivianBala and the Ministerial delegation from Singapore as they arrive in New Delhi for the 3rd India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR).' 'ISMR, a unique mechanism, continues to strengthen the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,' he added. On Wednesday, Balakrishnan will take part in the 3rd India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) at Hyderabad House, starting at 9:50 am, followed by an official photo session. Later that day, he will call on the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where another official photo opportunity is planned. This visit coincides with the third India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR), which will be held in New Delhi on August 13, marking an important ministerial-level platform to drive cooperation in new and emerging areas between the two countries, according to an official statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Singapore.
