Burraneer home of socialite couple Matthew and Kelsea Doyle sold for $2.8m

The Burraneer abode of socialite couple Matthew and Kelsea Doyle has been sold for $2.8m, having been listed with $2.5m-plus guidance. Matthew was a Sutherland Shire property developer sentenced in 2020 to five years in jail after trying to smuggle $85m of cocaine in 2019 in what was a sophisticated police operation. Kelsea, who was not involved in the plot, stood by her remorseful husband. Matthew was released back into the community with an ankle monitoring bracelet last year. After his release, the couple had a second child in December. Their 2019-built home was registered solely in Matthew's name. Its sale to Dolans Bay buyer Jodie Clift was settled on Friday. It had previously had a caveat placed on its title arising from a loan agreement executed in April by the registered proprietor and the caveators, Jorden and Tallie-Bree Minos, as the lenders. Tallie-Bree is the sister of publicist Kelsea Nagel Doyle, who had previously worked as a publicist for fashion brands including Ksubi, Josh Goot and Camilla and Marc. The Burraneer duplex home replaced an older-style brick home that Matthew Doyle bought in 2017 for $1.64m. He created dual-occupancy homes costing $969,000. Doyle sold the other half of the duplex in 2018 for $2m. His previous projects in the shire included the Cronulla apartment complex, Tara Maree, and townhouses on Dudley Ave, Caringbah South.
