Moving Forward Step By Step To Organise Commonwealth Games: Gujarat Government
"Last week, senior officials of the Commonwealth Games visited Gujarat. They visited different places mentioned in our proposal where various games can be played," Sanghvi said.
The minister said the EoI follows several steps.
"There is a detailed procedure for it (bidding for Commonwealth Games). We are also going step by step for hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games," he said, adding that the bidding process will continue.
A team from Commonwealth Sport (earlier known as Commonwealth Games Federation) landed in Ahmedabad last Tuesday. The team inspected the prospective venues and interacted with Gujarat government officials.
India's chances of getting the 2030 CWG has brightened after Canada pulled out of the bidding race last month. India will have to submit proposals for the final bid ahead of the August 31 deadline.
The General Assembly of Commonwealth Sport will decide the host country in the last week of November in Glasgow.
"The host selection will be based on sustainability, athletic centre, flexibility in terms of regional appeal, there needs to be flexibility in terms of the host nations taken," Harpal Singh, IOA executive member and member of the Sports Committee of Commonwealth Sports, had said last month.

The chief minister emphasised that her government had promised to provide the highest rewards to medal winners in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games. "For the first time, we will ensure job security for the youth who contribute to the growth and development of sports in Delhi," she added. In the nearly half-an-hour-long speech, Gupta said the Delhi government will provide a pucca house to every slum resident in the capital and will also open Atal Canteens to provide food to the needy at Rs 5.

According to EPFO, on the basis of evaluation, Infosys Limited, TCS Limited and Wipro Limited are suitable. They have been shortlisted to participate in the next phase of the selection process. However, it is clearly stated in the circular that shortlisting does not mean that any legal or official contract has been given yet. This is just an administrative step. There is only one purpose of launching EPFO 3.0: to make it more modern and advanced than before. With its launch, millions of subscribers will get better service from EPFO. This will make the system faster and more efficient than before. OTP verification: With the new update, OTP verification process will now start in place of the traditional form based process. Hooghly: Indian swimming legend Bula Chowdhury's ancestral home in Debaipukur, Hindmotor, Hooghly, has been robbed for the fourth time. Thieves broke in through the back door and took numerous medals — including her Padma Shri and President's awards — as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals, foreign honours, and other household items. They even stole a bathroom basin tap and the Lakshmi Ghat, besides damaging who lives in Kolkata with her family, visits the ancestral property occasionally. Her brother, Dolan Chowdhury, manages the house and stays there with their grandparents. He expressed frustration that despite three earlier robberies and repeated police complaints, the incidents have continued. A police picket set up earlier was later withdrawn, leaving the property have launched an investigation, with North Uttarpara police station's IC, Amitabh Sanyal, visiting the site. The family says they now feel unsafe, with Dolan questioning how ordinary people can cope with such repeated thefts.
