Rajput's former residence. When the news initially broke out last year, the public as well as fans of the late actor heavily judged the actress for moving into Sushant's home and purchasing it.
The actress, however, dealt with the trolls like a pro and smartly handled the situation, all the while leaving no space for any rumours.
Adah Sharma clarified rumours of her purchasing Sushant's former residence first
As the news came out that Adah was residing in Sushant Singh Rajput's former place of residence, people rallied against the actress and her actions. Many rumours had spread that the actress had purchased the residence. Adah, however, did not back down from the rumours and provided public clarification about how she was only renting the place and hadn't made any move towards buying the place.
She held a press conference in August last year; the 'Kerala Story' star provided clarification in the matter and established how the house did not belong to her and instead was her and her mother's as well as her grandmother's place of residence for the time being.
She shared in her statement that "The house I've rented is not mine. The Rs 300 crore from 'The Kerala Story' is not mine, so I'm living on rent. It's not just me contributing to the rent; my grandmother also helps with it.'

She also revealed that her grandmother also contributes to the rent of the place. She shared that her grandmother told her that she will also contribute to the house. 'She said, since I'm living there too, I should contribute to the rent. My mother, who is not working, does not contribute financially but cooks' food,' Adah shared.
Not only that, but the actress also slammed any rumours of her ownership regarding Sushant's former place.
She shared that 'Actually, the house doesn't belong to me; it belongs to Mr Lalwani, who I think is currently in South Africa. I believe Sushant also lived there on rent; it wasn't his property either, but the house belongs to Mr Lalwani.'
Adah Sharma talks about dealing with criticism
In a later interview with India Today, she also talked about dealing with the continuous criticism, showing how thick-skinned and strong-minded she is. She shared that 'As an actor, or even as a person, you cannot react to everything that's been said.

She also shared her experience living in the house and stated that she really loved the place. In her statement she shared that "I am not here to tell anyone 'I am a good person' or give them reasons for my actions. I did what I had to do, and I know myself. And just like I don't want anyone to change for me, I would also not change myself. I am really all settled in the house, and I really love the place."

Filmmaker Suneel Darshan has opened up about the unexpected casting journey behind his 1999 hit film Jaanwar, which eventually became a turning point in Akshay Kumar 's career. In a recent interview with India Today, Darshan revealed that Akshay was never the first, or even second, choice for the lead role in the film. 'Jaanwar was not written for Akshay,' he stated plainly. 'The film was originally planned with Sunny Deol . We were nearly set to go ahead when we had a fallout over some very ugly issues. Those issues are still pending. So I decided to move forward and find someone else.' Ajay Devgn almost signed the film, but 'Sunday changed everything' After parting ways with Sunny Deol, Darshan turned to another top star of the time, Ajay Devgn. The two had even agreed to work together. 'Ajay and I met on a Saturday and agreed on the film. We were supposed to finalise everything that Monday, but Sunday changed everything,' he recalled. That Sunday, Darshan received a surprise phone call that changed the course of Jaanwar forever. 'It was from someone I had never met before—Akshay Kumar,' he revealed. 'He was very keen to meet immediately. I invited him over, and he said he wanted to do Jaanwar. He asked me, 'Would you consider making the film with me?'' Akshay Kumar was at a low point in his career, says Darshan Darshan was initially hesitant to cast Akshay, given the actor's declining box office standing at the time. But something about Akshay's attitude struck a chord with him. 'Akshay was going through the worst phase of his career at the time. But I thought, 'Here's a good-looking, disciplined actor willing to give 100% of himself.' He even told me, 'Sir, I will offer you 100% of myself.' That stayed with me.' Despite knowing that Akshay's name alone wouldn't guarantee commercial success at that point, Darshan decided to follow his instincts. 'I knew I couldn't make money on his name then, but I believed in my ability to bring out his potential. I felt we'd strike a good rapport—and that would reflect on screen.' I appreciated her honesty and professionalism,' he said. Eventually, Shilpa Shetty was brought in to complete the cast, and the team moved ahead with the new lineup.
